Assessments, Daily Grades, and Practice for Even/Odd and Arrays - Freebie! - PLUS a Great iPad Tip!

I thought I'd share an assessment, daily work, and practice for our work on
even and odd numbers
(OA.2.3 Work with equal groups of objects to gain foundations for multiplication. Determine whether a group of objects (up to 20) has an odd or even number of members, e.g., by pairing objects or counting them by 2s; write an equation to express an even number as a sum of two equal addends)
and
arrays
(OA.2.4 Work with equal groups of objects to gain foundations for multiplication. Use addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns; write an equation to express the total as a sum of equal addends).

Just click on each of the above pics to get the two files.

If you use iPads in your classroom, you MUST visit Heidi Songs and read her post on setting up the iPads so that your students can ONLY access the app you want them to work on! Who knew????? I found this great idea while I was trying to catch up on my blog reading, stalking, whatever!

Don't forget to join my Reading Roundup Linky Party and share one professional book you want to read, one book you want to read strictly for pleasure, and one you want to use to teach a skill in your classroom. Remember, these are books you have not read yet, but are next on your To Read List. Go {HEREto join in the fun!

New Page for Common Core Text Exemplars

Thanks to everyone for the positive response to my series of posts on activities for the text exemplars for Common Core for second and third grade.
To make it easier to find the posts and keep up when I add new activities, I have started a new page on my blog to hold all the links to the posts. (Thanks to Ladybug Teacher Files for the idea!)
Just look at the top of my blog and click on the link for "Activities for Common Core Text Exemplars".

I'll be adding more activities for the text exemplars this week, so if you have not followed my blog, this would be a great time to do so!
