Experimenting

As you can tell, I am experimenting with a new background. I like all the fun colors and energy. I want to learn photoshop so I can personalize my banner with photos. I have a lot to learn. I like the two column version that has a wider column - where do I find designs for that? (Joanie, if you are reading this I need your help because I like the clean look of your blog.) Thanks for any suggestions.
