Jungle Scene Theme Cards for Kids

Hi All,

This is Priya here from Priya-n-Papers. I am here today to share 2 super cute jungle themed cards. I have used Papericious back to Basics paper pad to make these. The simplicity and trendy pattern of this pack makes it my instant choice to make fun cards using dies. The colors are so fun as well to play with.
One of the card is pop up card. The jungle scene pops up when you open the card. Here it is.
For this card, I used green checkered paper to create the background. I have mixed and matched Papericious papers with plain cardstock.
I came up with my own dimensions to create the grassy scenes. I have used Back to Basics papers extensively to create the clouds, water and jungle critters.
On to the second card. The front panel of my second card is almost as like the first one, only difference is the background. I used 2 different color papers to make the background.
This card isn't a pop up card, but I have created a variation of jungle scene to showcase how we can use our papers and dies in different ways.
Here is inside of 2 cards opened together.
I had absolutely fun creating these! The sentiment say "It's your special day, Go Wild, Party Animal".  I am sure kids will love these!
Supplies Used :

That's it from my side, hope you guys liked it. This paper pack is a must have for all paper crafters. I am gonna stock up on these on my Trip to India!

Challenge Inspirations :
First up is gorgeous card by Pavitra! She has used last column from the bingo card.
This is how Pavitra has described her take on the challenge inspiration :
"I created a card for the newly weds using the bingo for this month. The elements i picked up for my project are - Vellum cardstock, embossing powder and 3D shaker chippies. For creating my background here i used vellum cardstock and stamp it randomly using various stamps with colorbox inks and heat emboss it with papericious embossing powder for a glossy finish. Used heart shaped 3D chippies for the focal point and adorn the cards with flowers."

Isn't it stunning? On to my card :
I have used top row (Chippies, Sprays and Vellum) to make my card. I have also used Monochrome paper pack for the base. On Vellum, I first ink blended distress oxide inks and embossed the colored vellum cardstock with 3D embossing folder. See how gorgeous those crisp embossed lines look! I have also used dream catcher chippie and colored it with Papericious Radiant Orchid Spritz spray paint.
Here is a close up of the colored chippie. The spray mist has shimmer in it which looks gorgeous!
I hope you liked the inspirations and will be playing the challenge with us this month.
Happy crafting!

Colorful Cards using Papericious Vellum

Hi All,

This is Priya here. As I promised in my last post on Papericious Vellum, I have another post dedicated to Papericious Vellum. I am showcasing another fun way to use vellum. This time, I have colored vellum using distress oxide inks to create my own colored vellum cardstock. I had absolute fun with ink blending over Papericious vellum in different oxide inks. I have also used Papericious Monochrome paper pack to accentuate colorful vellum.

For both the cards, I colored vellum using different colors of oxide inks in shades of blue, yellow and red and cut out the vellum in different diecut shapes.
Since, the Papericious Vellum is thick, it didn't wrap at all with ink blending distress oxides. Also, the translucent property of the vellum results in amazing effects when layering vellum diecut in different primary colors, producing secondary colors.
I used Papericious Monochrome paper pack to bring out the beauty of colored vellum over neutral colors.
To finish off the cards, I diecut sentiments from glitter gold paper and used enamel dots in random pattern.
Supplies Used :
1. Papericious Vellum Cardstock
2. Papericious Monochrome Paper Pack
That's it from today. I hope you liked my take on coloring Papericious Vellum cardstock with distress oxides.
Hugs,
Priya

Cards using Papericious Vellum and Whimsical Paper Pack

Hi All,
Happy Monday! This is Priya here. Today I have 4 cards to show you how to use Papericious Vellum is different ways. Papericious has released their very own "made in India" Vellum cardstock. I must say the vellum is just the right thickness and quality that is perfect to try various techniques on this translucent cardstock. I have combined it with Whimsical Paper pack to make my cards. This paper pack is from Papericious old release. Let's get started!
Card 1 : With Sympathy - Vellum as card base
In this card, I want to highlight the thickness of the Papericious Vellum cardstock. It is so sturdy that it can be used as the base. It creases easily and gives a lovely translucent effect to the card.
I have diecut various images from the die cut sheet that comes in Whimsical Paper pack. I stamped a sentiment on the banner image to make it a sympathy card.
I have added a coordinated pattern paper for the inside of the card so it can be seen through when it's closed and another sentiment can be stamped/written on it.
Card 2 : Thanks a bunch friend - Vellum in Diecuts
In this card, I again used Vellum as my base but wanted to highlight the use of Vellum for diecuts. I diecut 2 clouds and adhered it on my panel. I hide the glue marks by sticking enamel dots on it.
The main image is from Whimsical pack. The image is so cute in itself that you don't have to do anything much on the center of the card.
This is the inside of the card. I finished it with some sentiments "Thanks a bunch - Friend".
Card 3 : You are the bestest - Heat embossing on Vellum
Heat embossing on Vellum is always tricky. You need the right kind of thickness so that it wouldn't wrap. I tried the heat embossing on Papericious Vellum and the results were magnificent.
Here is a closeup. The heat embossing was so crisp and cleat with no wrapping. To complete my card, I diecut various flowers and leaves from the whimsical paper pack to create foliage. Isn't it so elegant?
Card 4 : Thinking of you
Here is another simple card I made to show how we can use Vellum and how we can hide the glued part ;). I diecut leaves and vines from Papericious Vellum using SSS die and stick it under the curved panel I diecut from Papericious Whimsical Paper pack.
Supplies used :
1. Papericious Whimsical Paper Pack
2. Papericious Vellum Cardstock
I hope you liked all my cards. I will have another post using Papericious Vellum as I have more ideas on how to use it and would like to explore more with Vellum.
Have a great week ahead!
Hugs,
Priya

Card for Dads using Papericious Monochrome and Pretty Basics Paper Pad

Hi All,
This is Priya here. Since Father's day is around the corner, I decided to make some trendy cards for those wonderful fathers in our lives.
I have made 3 cards using 2 paper pads, Monochrome and Pretty Basic Paper Pad. These papers are so trendy to make some colorful cards for Dads. I have used some dies and sentiments to design my cards.

Card 1 : You Rock Dad
For this card, I made a skyline scene using blue stripe paper from Pretty Basic Paper Pad. The town's skyline has been added using the script paper from the Monochrome Paper Pad. I added some stars, road and a green pasture using various papers to finish it off.

Card 2: Dad You Make Everything Better
For this card, I knew I will use the trendy dots pattern Paper from Monochrome paper pad. I die cut 3 circles out and used Pretty Basic paper pack to die cut 3 circles and stick it onto the base of my card.
Then I die cut DAD word using dies and glued onto the 3 diecut circles. I finished off the card with a cute sentiment.

Card 3 : You Amaze Me Dad
This is my favorite of the lot. I used 3 dots pattern paper in 3 different colors from Pretty Basics paper pad to make a grid. Then I diecut the You and Dad words using dies. To complete the sentence, I heat embossed "amaze me" from a stamp set and stick it to the middle bar of the base I created.
I have cut all the die-cuts, 2-3 times each and stacked them up with glue. This will give depth to the diecut and it will pop out more on the card.

Supplies Used :
Papericious Pretty Basics Paper Pad
Papericious Monochrome Paper Pad
I hope you will like my attempt on making trendy masculine cards for Dads. Do give it a try. These papers are just gorgeous to make about any kind of card!
Thanks for stopping by!

Cards and Tags using Kiss the Cook Paper Pack

Hi All!

This is Priya here! Did you see the newly release "Kiss the Cook" paper pack from Papericious? The pack is perfect to make projects for kitchen and your favorite chef in the world! You can make cards, shadow boxes, favor boxes tags, recipes books, etc with it. It has lovely colors and so many diecut elements that can use across your projects. The pack comes in 6x6 size and full 12x12 sheets.
I have used both 6x6 and 12x12 paper pack to make 2 cards and a set of gift tags.
Here are the 2 cards I made.
Card 1 : Happiness is homemade
The paper pack comes with pretty patterns and also has some scene already created. Like in this card, I simply used a pattern paper with kitchen scene and including the sentiment "Happiness is homemade".
To decorate it further, I die cut some scalloped elements from red and white checker pattern paper from the same pack. It was super quick to make!
Card 2 : We Mix Well
In this card, I created a kitchen table scene. I die cut the red and white checker pattern paper in a way that it looks like table cloth.
Then I fussy cut some of the elements from coordinated sheets like baking glove, ladles, sugar and a mixer and glued above the table cloth pattern paper. I then stamped the sentiment "I am so glad we mix well" directly onto the pattern paper.
Favor Tags :
I couldn't resist making a set of gift tags with the pattern papers. We can use these to decorate cookie bags, mason jars while gifting a homemade food item or during baby/bridal shower for eatable favor gifts.
Here are few close ups!

Supplies Used :
Kiss the Cook Paper Pack ( 6x6, 12 x 12)
That's it for today. I hope you will like my cards and tags!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Monday!

Love Pop up Box Card featuring Love Actually Paper Pack

Hi All!

This is Priya! I have some really exciting projects to share with you today to showcase Papericious' new paper pack Love Actually.
I made Love themed pop up box cards! I just loved how these tuned out. All 3 are so different from each other but I used just one paper pack to make 3 different style trendy, floral and hearts!
Floral Pop up Box - You are loved
This is my favorite among all 3. I used yellow color as my base and picked up florals and angel pattern papers from the pack. Roses are cut from the pattern paper while rest of the the die cuts are cut from the diecut sheet including the sentiment.
Now have a look at the die cuts closely.
Here is the flat look when folded.
Trendy Pop up box - Sweetheart I love you Forever
I used the color combo of white, red, black and a little bit of gold! I combined various die cuts from the coordinating sheets to make the sentiment "Sweetheart I love U forever". I love how you can mix and match the words from the die cut sheets to make a complete sentiment!

Here is a closer look at the box. I have stick the golden hearts die cuts using acetate strips so that it dangles a little when it's open.
Here is when card is laid flat.
Hearts Pop up box card - Be Mine
This is the last one from the lot. I kept the base color pink as most of the pattern papers and die cuts from the Love Actually paper pack has dominantly pink color so this was easy one to churn out. Most of the die cuts are glued using acetate strips so that it floats a little when opened.
Here is a closer look at the die cuts.
I love how these turns into a normal A2 sized cards when folded flat. These can fit into a normal envelope and can be mailed out as normal letter mail.
To make all 3 cards, I have used Pop up box dies from Lawn Fawn. However, you don't need the dies to make card in a box project. You can find the instructions easily. Here is one such link for a super easy tutorial.

I hope you liked my pop up box cards. Do leave a comment if you do.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
