Anniversary Card Inspired by Try Stampin' on Tuesday #527

Our friends celebrated an anniversary yesterday and I made them a card to commemorate the special day.  I really liked the flourishes in the current Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch and decided to fussy cut "Every Little Thing" paper and pop it up on my card.  There already was a gold embossed Happy Anniversary sentiment in my extras box so I cut it with an stitched oval and backed it with a bigger stitched oval cut from scraps of gold holographic poster board. The background paper is Mint.

Here is the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch that inspired my card layout:

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges:

Stinkin' Inkers--Scrap Happy Challenge (extra Anniversary                      sentiment and gold holographic leftover from a different                   project)

Addicted to Stamps and More--Make Your Mark

     Watercooler Wednesdays--All About Occasions

     Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday--Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

September Joyful Stars Blog Hop with Bloom and Grace Paper

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Joyce Gough's blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

Close to my Heart has a new annual catalog and a new seasonal catalog that have just been released.  I have been having so much fun playing with the new Bloom and Grace sunflower patterned paper. (Sunflowers always remind me of my mom who used to decorate her kitchen and bathroom with that theme.) I made a flurry of cards and would love to know which ones you like best.

Card #1:

The dotted stripe is from the zip strip.  The sentiment is from Sentiments by Melissa Esplin with Espresso Ink.  I used an Earth Brown Tri-Blend marker to outline the sentiment panel.

Card #2:

The background patterned paper is from Lovely paper.  The fussy cut sunflowers were embellished with Lemonade Shimmer Brush and Toffee Shimmer Brush.  My card layout was inspired by a recent Global Designs Project sketch.

Card #3:

The sentiment is from Every Little Thing Cardmaking with Thin Cut Dies embossed in Copper Tinsel Embossing Powder and matted with Espresso Card Stock.  The center stripe is retired Copper Shimmer Trim.  I'm entering this card into the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge #387 which can be found here.

Card #4:

The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings and was stamped in Toffee Ink. Once again I used the Earth Brown Tri-Blend Marker to edge each of the paper pieces which are mounted on Fern Card Stock.  My card layout was inspired by this Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch #474:

That's all for now with this beautiful paper!  Please leave me a comment with your favorite card noted.

Now it's time to head over to Joyce Hauck's blog --I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she has to share.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week filled with fun and creativity!

Atlantic Hearts Challenge #365

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog post!  This week we are challenging you to use various paper strips with an embellished focal sentiment.  We hope you will find a chance to join in on the fun!  You can link up your card here.

Image may contain: text

I made two cards for this challenge.  My first card uses several strips from Close to my Heart's Stitched Together Paper (available May 1) with Smoothie and Sapphire Card Stocks, Sapphire Ink, and Say it In Style stamp.  The ladybug and flowers were fussy cut from Stitched Together paper and then glittered with the Clear Shimmer Brush.

My second card uses a sheet of Every Little Thing paper cut in 4 strips over Mint Card Stock. The sentiment is a very old Stampendous stamp (1994!) and the hearts were die cut from Julep Glitter paper.

Which card do you like better?

I'm entering these cards into the following challenges:
     Make My Monday--Springtime Flowers
     Dare 2B Artsy--Pastel Colors
     All Sorts--Flowers and/or Showers

Now it's your turn to create following the fabulous Atlantic Hearts Sketch #365.  Our challenge ends Sunday evening April 19.  You can link up your creations here.  We look forward to visiting your blog and commenting on your artwork.

Final Easter Cards

I've had the time this spring to make (and send out) Easter cards to family and friends and used several different card designs using up some of my older paper stash.  This next card was based on the Stella Says Sketch challenge link.

This card uses very old patterned paper (Close to My Heart Pink Carnation from the late 1990's!)  The floral image is Every Little Thing Cardmaking stamp and Thin Cut Die and the greeting is from an older stamp set called Happy Easter.  The flowers were colored in with gel pens.

Here is the Stella Says Sketch graphic that inspired my card layout:

I'm also sharing my card with the following challenges:
     Crafty Cardmakers #254--Easter
     Use Your Stuff #395--Easter
     Crafting Happiness 43--Easter

M Folded Cards for Joyful Stars January Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Joyful Stars Blog Hop! We are a group of Close to My Heart consultants who share something each month on the 9th and at 9PM EST. If you are coming from Lori Meadows blog you are on the right track. (The complete lineup is on Joyce's blog in case you get lost.) Have fun being inspired!

After the holidays were over I had some time to just peruse shared cards on Pinterest and I was intrigued by a new (to me) card fold I found here and decided to try making a few with Close to My Heart products.

My first card started with a 5.5" x 11" sheet of White Daisy sheet scored at 1.25", 4" and 6.75".  I then glued pieces of Every Little Thing patterned paper and zip strips along with the Wisteria dotted paper from last season's Mix-In Paper.

The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings and I used the Stitched Circle Thin Cut Dies and Basic Circle Thin Cut Dies to frame it. The stars were inked with Wisteria and the greeting was embossed in Black.

My second card started with a 5.5" x 11" sheet of Every Little Thing paper and Wisteria and White Daisy panels added.  The sentiment is from the January Stamp of the Month called Everyday Magic.

Here are the fabulous stamps included in the January Stamp of the month:

S2001: Everyday Magic, set of 17

I'm also sharing these cards with the following challenges:
Paper Players--Something New (card fold technique)
Heart 2 Heart--Try Something New (card fold technique)
Always Fun--Something New (card fold technique)
Get Creative--Something New (card fold technique)
Simon Says Monday--Something New (card fold technique)
    Seize the Birthday #180--Layer It

Now it's time to head over to Nancy Brown's blog --I'm sure you'll be inspired by what she has to share.

The greeting is from Card Captions (January 2019 Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month) and the coordinating background card stock is Wisteria.

Here is the fabulous Freshly Made Sketch that inspired my card layout:

Every Little Thing Birthday Card With Multi Square Windows Thin Cuts

The floral patterned paper from Every Little Thing paper from Close to My Heart is so pretty!  I paired it with the Multi Square Windows Thin Cut Dies in Wisteria Card Stock layered over Evergreen Card Stock.  The Birthday sentiment from Sentiments from Melissa Esplin was stamped in Evergreen Ink and Versamark Ink and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  I cut the floral paper with the window die so I could insert the pieces into the windows (I'll have a floral grid to use later on.)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
     Craft Rocket Challenge #65--Birthday
     Papercraft Challenges #50--Birthday
Seize the Birthday--Option of off the edge
