Karen D's January progress

Well, i started this piece this month and not much progress made, but there is progress. I am stitching it on 36ct edinburgh coffee dyed/baked by me and stitching it over 1 (as for the slow stitching) and using GAST Deep Sea. I really love how this color pops on the fabric. I just wish the picture would do it more justice.

Marie in TX's Progress

To keep me on track with finishing this by year's end, I made a copy of the chart and marked which motifs I would finish each month. So far, so good. I even have a bit of a head start on February. I am enjoying the project. My linen looks a little light on this picture. It is actually more golden then it looks here.

Deb's January

Hi all

First off - all your work looks fabulous. What great variety. I started my piece on a plane heading from OZ to Paris and then had a few quite times in France and Spain to work on it. It was great to be able to log in and see what everyone else was up to. Haven't done much since I returned. Having a heatwave here (today is 43 C) so not so good for stitching. Anyway here is what I've done.

Cheers to all,

Deb

RuthB's progress -- aka A Miracle!

Yes, my friends, a miracle has been bought about by this group and a new-fangled needle threader. I'll have to get back to you on what it's called but it is the first threader I've had that can actually work with those *#$(&@(#^** beading needles.
I began January at:
Beatrix Potter begins with beads 5/30/2007
where I had been stalled for 2 years due to the blasted beading needle threading issue.

As of today I am here:
1_26_2008 065
Yes! You do see both the milk chocolate beaded birds and the cream beaded flowers. See, it's a miracle!!!!

Thanks to you all for the inspiration.

Hazel's January Progress

Here's my progress for January. I am loving working on this and love the colour choice I made although photos (esp mine) never do the real thing justice. I wanted to show all four colours together to see what they look like and I am quite pleased so far. Isn't it a lovely chart to work?

January progress

Now I'm leaving it alone til next month. xx

Margie May's Progress

It was great to start a new project for the New Year, especially one that has been in the stash for some time. I finally decided on the dark green DMC500 which is easy to purchase. Although there were a number of other threads that were tempting I was not sure if I would be able to purchase the quantities needed at the same time locally. I am now very happy with my choice and will work on the project one night per week. At this stage I have not set the day but will slot it in amongst the other projects, some I do have a deadline to meet. Unfortunately we have high temperatures coming next week so it may be too hot to stitch. I really do hate summer. Happy stitching everyone. Margie May, Melbourne, Australia

Allie's January Progress

I chose a 36ct Creme Brulee linen from R&R with WDW Lancaster Red and GAST "Nutmeg" for the accent. I started with 2 threads over 2, but it was too chunky looking, so I frogged it & went with 1 thread over 2.

I'd love to know whether others are keeping the initials throughout the chart "as is" or if you plan to modify them to fit your own? Any thoughts? I've left them off for now, since I was torn on what to do with them.
