Not a huge amount of progress...but a little. The state of the piece at the end of January is to the left. It is still very hot here, so not such good stitching weather. I'm enjoying the project but working with silk is not as good as I thought it would be. Not really different from cotton.
I am really enjoying seeing others progress.
Cheers,
Deb

Hi Everyone,
Here is the progress I have made since my last posting. I did not get as much done as I had hoped but I am still pleased with my progress. I enjoy stitching the little motifs rather than the big flower but, I think it will look ok once it is done. I am still enjoying stitching 1 over 1 but the only way that I can comfortably do this is to use my daylight lamp with the built in magnifying glass.
I really enjoy checking to see everybody's progress and love all the different colors you have all chosen.
Keep up the great stitching,
Brenda

My Color Choices:
I chose a 32ct hand dyed linen - color is Barn Owl. Crescent Colours hand dyed silk floss - Poison Apple as my main color and Icing as an accent. I am stitching 1 over 2. The first time I had to remove stitches I was horrified that it left this schmear of red on the linen. You guessed it. I have never used hand dyed floss before! I was able to rub some of the red out but if anyone has suggestions on how to remove the bleeding I welcome your feedback.
My Work in Progress:
Everyone’s work is beautiful and you are all so inspiring to me. A big “Thank You” to Hazel for all of your efforts in starting this post and keeping it running smoothly.
