Cuti- Cuti Bandung - Part III


Day 2

 Our next stop after Riau area was Jln Cihampelas. Kat sinilah tempat yang ditunggu2 untuk dinner. Actually, dinner kitaorang kat tempat lain. Tapi we all mintak kat tour guide untuk tukar ke sini..Tapi..sebelum tu, shopping dulu. Kat Cihampelas ni memang terkenal dengan jeans and leather jackets. Kat sini jugak boleh dapat snacks berasaskan cheese. My hubby & I temankan Sumai cari leather jackets. Memula tu dia nak beli kat kedai. Mahal.. Sekali, bila I tanya yang jual kat tepi jalan tu, murah giler. Kitaorang tarik Sumai keluar dari kedai tu..hehe..He ended up with 2 leather jackets. Serious murah. Tapi my hubby & I tak beli coz I bought mine in Beijing while Hubby bought his in Jakarta.
 Then, masa yang ditunggu2. One of the main reasons kitaorang repeat Bandung. Nak pekena Nasi Goreng Buntut at Warung Laos. Tercapailah hajat. Restoren ni 2 tingkat. Kat tingkat atas full house. Dapat le we all makan tepi oven batu dia tu. Kat atas ada beranda. So, boleh le jamu mata tengok2 Jln Cihampelas. Kat sini pizza dia pun menarik. Siap bakar dalam oven batu lagi. Liza tried their lasagna which is marvellous. Ada la alasan Syukur & Ila nak repeat Bandung pulak..:D

Hasil dari Brastagi, Medan

Dah beli buah murah kat Brastagi, kena le masak something kan. Tak kan nak makan cam tu je..:-)

Jus Alpokat ( Jus Avocado )

Bahan-bahan ( 3 - 4 gelas )

1 biji buah avocado yang masak ranum
1 cawan susu segar
2 sudu besar susu pekat
Sedikit coklat cair (Hershey's)
Ais

Cara-cara

1. Ceduk buah avocado yang telah masak ranum dengan sudu, masukkan dalam blender
2. Masukkan susu segar dan susu pekat
3. Blend hingga halus (semakin lama, jus akan menjadi bertambah pekat), tambah air jika mahu sedikit cair
4. Picitkan coklat cair di sekeliling gelas, tuangkan jus dan hiaskan dengan coklat cair di atas (tambah rasa). 5. Masukkan ais. Siap untuk dihidang.


Pavlova

Bahan-bahan ( 4 orang )

4 biji telur ( ambil putih sahaja)
1 cup gula kastor ( I reduce to 3/4 cup )
1/2 teaspoon vanill
2 sudu besar tepung jagung
1 teaspoon cream of tartar @ cuka @ lemon juice
buah-buahan ikut citarasa anda cth strawberry@ kiwi @ orange
1 cup whipping cream

Cara-cara

1. Pukul putih telur sampai kembang. jangan lupa masukkan la sikit-sikit gula kastor tadi sampai habis. Pukul sebati.
2. Putih telur siap sedia bila terbalikkan bekas ia tidak terjatuh.
3. Kemudian ayakkan tepung jagung ke dalamnya.dan masukkan esen vanilla dan cuka. Kacau dengan cara balik kaup.
4. Masukkan dalam dulang pembakar yang di alas dengan kertas minyak.ratakan...bentukkan sesuka hati ikut citarasa anda.
5. Bakar 150 celcius selama sejam. bila sudah masak biar dalam oven 20 minit. jika retak sedikit tidak mengapa.kemudian keluarkan dari oven
6. Untuk topping: Putar whipping cream hingga kental. Guna sudu ratakan atas pavlova. Bolehlah susun buah diatasnya.

A Week Achievements

 Last Saturday we attended Alysa's Hari Anugerah Cemerlang 2012. She got  2nd place & the highest in Bahasa Arab & Math. She always got the highest in Math since kindy. Memula ingatkan dia tak dapat apa-apa hadiah sebab bila tanya dia, kakak dapat hadiah ke? Dia kata belum lagi. On Friday baru tau bila kawan dia tegur dia dapat hadiah esok cos they were practising to receive the awards on Friday. Apa-apa pun Hubby still had to attend the event cos dia AJK PIBG..:-)

 Then, semalam pulak Alysa officially dah habis iqra' 6 & dah start baca quran. Yeay.. Kira oklah for a standard 1. Mama dulu std 1 baru nak start muqaddam. Alysa dah boleh baca fluently tapi nak kena jaga pernafasan.

Puding Roti Sos Kastad

 I made this recently for tea. Sedap & simple. I told Hubby, even dia pun boleh buat. Preparation time was only 10 min. Tapi bila tanya Hubby nak makan dengan sos kastad or susu, dia nak makan dengan susu je. Lagi senang kerja I. Then, letak Hersyey's chocolate syrup. Heavenly.

Bahan- bahan

  • Bahan A
  • 500 ml susu segar/fresh milk
  • 8 keping roti (gardenia/high 5)
  • Bahan B
  • 4 s/b gula halus
  • 2 s/b butter - cairkan sebentar atas api
  • 2 biji telur ayam
  • 1 sudu teh esen vanilla
  • 1 s/b tepung jagung
  • 1 s/b serbuk kayu manis/cinnamon powder *(optional)
  • 1 s/b buah pala *(optional)
  • Bahan C-kuah
  • 1 tin susu cair
  • 2 s/b tepungkastad
  • 2 s/b gula

Cara-cara

  1. Hancurkan /koyakkan roti dan rendam dalam susu 1/2 jam
  2. Kacau dan gaul rata bahan B. Tuangkan ke dalam loyang bersama dgn bahan A yg telah direndam.
  3. Bakar dalam suhu 180'C selama 30 minit/masak. Biarkan sebentar sebelum disejukkan dlm fridge.
  4. Gaulkan bahan sos kastad dan masakkan diatas api yg sederhana sebentar.
  5. Tuangkan sos diatas puding semasa menghidang.

Oreo Cheesecake ( Baked )

 Recently Alysa requested for Oreo Cheesecake. Tetiba ada craving for cheesecake kut.. Lama mama dia tak buat cheesecake. I know she loves cheesecakes, tapi I pulak not in a baking mode..:-) . Since dia beriya-iya request, reminding me every 15 min, So, lepas dia tido I buatkanlah.

 Bored with the usual recipe i.e the chilled one, I tried using the baked recipe. For cheesecakes selalunya I seriau nak try yang baked coz pernah terjadi cake tu terlalu lembik. But after i tried baking the Snickers Cheesecake & it turned out awesome, I don't have misgivings anymore. The result.. Hubby said it was better than the chilled one..Hmm..ke dia dah lupa rasa the chilled one..;-)

Oreo Cheesecake

Ingredients:

2 pkg. (250gm each) Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup milk ( I used 1/4 cup whipping cream )
2 eggs
6 Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, coarsely chopped (about 3/4 cup), divided
1 Oreo Pie Crust ( 140gm crushed oreo + 70gm melted unsalted butter )

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 160C . In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in vanilla, sugar, milk, and whipping cream and mix until smooth.

2. Add eggs one at a time; mix just until blended. Stir in 1/2 cup of the cookies.

3. Pour mixture into Oreo crust. Sprinkle the remaining chopped cookies on top.

4. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until center is almost set ( I used the bain marie method ). Cool. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

PG - KL- BP - JB

 Hubby dah ajak balik BP since early of the month. Tapi masa tu Airis baru je keluar ward & was not fully recovered. Adik pulak started demam masa tu. So, last week kitaorang balik le jugak BP despite Baby Airis still having runny nose. Seriau jugak takut dia muntah on the way tu.

 We left from Penang on Wednesday afternoon. Singgah Sekinchan rumah  Bang Man. On the way tu singgah dinner kat Restoran Air Buah Gelas Besar kat Sg Besar if I'm not mistaken. I love the claypot mee there. Even Alysa & adik loved it. I ordered version yang tak pedas. Hubby ordered yang pedas. Mmg full of cili padi. Mmg berasap le..

 The next day kitaorang singgah Bangsar coz Hubby ada keja kat situ. Hujan lebat giler. Dah pegi ke Bangsar Village for lunch. Tp status halal restoran2 kat situ mmg tak nampak. So, we bought a few kuih for Adik ( which cost RM1.20 per piece..klau kat pg or kedah blh bli 3-4 ketul..:-) ). Alysa requested to go to McD. Dah jumpa McD, hujan lebat lak kitaorang tak leh turun. Hubby redah hujan for takeaway. Last2 lunch dlm keta je..huwaa..

 Sampai BP dah maghrib. The next day lps shopping kat BP , we went to JB rumah my BIL. Lepas dinner blk BP lak. The following morning, siap awal le konon nak singgah rumah Abang kat KL. Tgk2 jln masuk KL kena tutup due to BERSIH. So, terus je lah balik Penang. I think this time balik kg, we spent most of the time in the car. Mmg tiring. Airis pun lost appetite.Pipi pun dah kecut. Penat travelling gamaknya.

Early Morning Visit to the Hospital & Tiramisu

 Last nite while putting Baby Airis to sleep, I heard her wheezing. She had runny nose for the past few days & started coughing yesterday. Initially, we thought it was just phlegm. She looked comfortable enough. But, when Hubby checked her lungs, there was a slight wheezing. So, at 1 am, off they went to the hospital. I stayed home with the other princesses.

 After a round of neb, they came home at 2am. Hubby said the doctor wanted to do chest x-ray, but he refused. Well, she's only 6 m.o. & just started coughing yesterday. I think it won't change the management with the x-ray findings.

 Since this is the first case of astmatic attack in the family, we never kept a nebulizer. Previously, with the elder princesses, when they started having runny nose, we just gave them a minimum dose of antihistamine. But, now there was a new regulation not to give kids below 2 y.o any antihistamine for cough & cold cases. So, konon2nya nak ikutlah the new findings. Tp for me, like any medication, if the benefits outweigh the side effects, I'd rather choose to give.
 
 An update: Tadi hubby balik je from the clinic bagitau Baby Airis kena pneumonia. Ala..cian my baby.  Tapi dia tak de lak fever. So, we started her on syr zithromax. Tu pun after consulting the paed. Mlm ni nampak dia happy sikit. Dah nampak nak senyum. Kalau tak, siang tadi buat muka sedih je. Lagi satu tak leh bagi dia stress. Nnt dia start wheezing lak.

Tiramisu


 I made this masa our family day baru-baru ni. Easy to prepare. Kejap je habis. This is an eggless recipe by umi e. I  know the classic tiramisu recipe has eggs. Tp tak kuasa nak makan telur mentah..

Bahan-bahan 

  • 2 bungkus biskut tiramisu/sponge fingers
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 250g whipping cream
  • 150g gula (boleh kurang atau tambah ikut suka manis)
  • satu cawan bancuhan air nescafe (tanpa gula)
  • serbok kok/cokolat utk hiasan

Cara-cara

  1. satukan cream cheese+whipping cream+gula dan pukul hingga kembang
  2. Celupkan biskut ke dalam bancuhan nescafe dan susun dalam bekas sederhana besar
  3. Setelah itu letakkan satu lapisan bancuhan yang telah dipukul tadi ke atas biskut dengan rata. Ulang proses ini sehingga menjadi tiga lapisan. 
  4. Bila semua bancuhan telah habis dan bahagian atas disapu rata, bolehlah ditutup dan disimpan dalam peti ais. Hias kan dengan taburan koko/cokolat di atasnya ikut suka.

Home Renovation

 Masuk hari ni dah 5 hari our contractors tak datang buat kerja. Grrrr. Cuaca dah elok tak nak guna. Nak call diaorang, hp diaorang dah kena curi masa rumah sewa diaorang kena pecah last week. Diorang pulak dah balik bercuti kat Alor Star. Dah la banyak lagi kerja terbengkalai.

 Initially, we only planned nak besarkan kitchen je.Tapi tu la. Home renovation ni berjangkit. Lepas extend the kitchen, hubby nak besarkan living room lak & ada a few additional areas that he wanted renovated. Semua plan rumah, dia yang buat. I tak masuk campur. Whatever he thougt okay, okay le pada I. Knowing him, dia ni mmg cerewet sikit. So, apa yang dia plan I rasa sesuai le tu. Normally well planned. Pernah masa kitaorang buat awning dulu, the contractor pasang frame masa kitaorang balik kampung time raya haji. Bila balik rumah, tgk2 frame dah jadi curve instead of the straight one that he wanted. Kena le the contractor tu bukak pulak frame tu..Nasib the contractor tak byk songeh. Lagipun salah diaorang gak coz tak ikut plan.

 The renovation started early march. Tapi last month asyik hujan je. So, tak boleh wat banyak kerja. Memula ingatkan 1 mth boleh siap. Ni dah masuk 2 bulan tak siap2 gak. Rimas I tgk. Memula tu mmg tak nak renovate lagi since Airis pun kecik lagi. Takut rumah berdebu. Nak pindah, tak kuasa I nak angkut brg2 dgn anak2 kecik. So, kitaorang suruh buat yang extended parts dulu. Nnt baru pecahkan dinding yg mana patut. Hopefully, boleh siap soon. I dah jenuh memikir nak kena pindah brg2 dapur nanti..Dgn rumah berabuk lagi nnt..And I also have to move my bookcase with lotsa books to the new area in the living room. Isk..isk.

Dulce De Leche - The easy way

 Dah lama teringin nak wat DDL ni. First sekali nampak kat rumah Ain. Then nampak kat myresipi. Tapi bila tengok method kena rebus sampai 3 jam, malas le pulak. I don't have the patience to stay in the kitchen that long! Baru2 ni masa mengoogle DDL, I found the easy way to do DDL. ( Then baru nampak ada update kat myresipi using this method ). Yup, I used microwave. Tapi kena tunggu depan microwave le to stir every 1-2 minutes. It was done within 30 minutes. The taste.. macam candy & susu caramel. The princesses meratah macam tu je. Tp I buat DDL brownies. Nampak K.Ayu  pun dah wat lama dah.

1 can sweetened condensed milk


1. Empty the can into a large glass bowl, and cover with plastic wrap (cling film), keeping a tiny bit uncovered to prevent excess steam build-up.

2. Microwave on medium power (I used level 3 on a 6-level appliance) for 2 minutes. Remove, stir with a wire whisk, and recover. Cook on medium for 2 more minutes. Remove, stir with a whisk, recover.

3. Then, in increments of 2-1/2 minutes, cook (on medium power) for another 10 minutes, stirring between each interval. After the first two stirs, you'll notice that the milk bubbles and foams up as it expels moisture. Then, with each stirring, the milk will be thicker and more caramel colored.

4. If after the 10 minutes, you like the color and consistency, stop! If you'd like a thicker sauce, continue cooking in 1-minute increments for another 2-3 minutes.

Lepak di Penang

 During the school holiday last week, we didn't go anywhere for the hols. Malas nak bersesak dengan orang yg ramai. Lagipun masa schools hols berganda le hotel rate. So, when Ila & family came over with my parents, diorang pun plan le nak pegi lepak Gunung Jerai. Tp tulah, rate hotel mmg steep le, so they decided to go to Batu Feringghi after spending a night at our house. Ni kira double celebration for her. Her birthday & celebrate nak tambah another family member.

 We joined them the next day coz Friday tu Hubby keje le pulak. So, on Saturday we met Ila at Paradise Sandy Beach where they were staying. I pernah stay kat situ dulu. The deluxe room mmg spacious. Sesuai utk family. PSB ni kat Tanjung Bungah just before Batu Feringghi. Tp beach kat sini sama je dgn kat Bt Feringghi. Sempat le the princesses mandi manda kat swimming pool kat PSB. After check-out kitaorang lunch kat Bayan Lepas. Tak ingat nama kedai tu. Just tau bawah pokok ceri je. Diorang jugak called it restoran 'mulut besar'..hehe  coz the waiter is loud. Jerit je order..

 Lepas kenyang, we went to Aquarium. Tp still under renovation. Ikan pun tak banyak. The last time we went, lagi byk ikan. So, lepak kejap jela. By 4 pm tu dah balik coz Ila nak kena balik Kedah pulak.

My  version:

Bahan-bahan

500ml susu cair
2 sd besar gula
4 sd besar tepung kastard
1 cawan air- utk dicampurkan dengan tepung kastard
10 biji bahulu
3 mango, di potong
1 peket agar-agar jeli kristal Nona
400ml air panas


Cara-cara
1.Panaskan susu cair dengan gula. Kecilkan api.
2.Bancuh tepung kastard dengan air sejuk. Masukkan bancuhan tadi ke dalam susu cair yang sedang mendidih, Masak hingga betul-betul pekat dan kastard pekat. Tutup api.
 3.Di dalam bekas berasingan, susunkan bahulu sehingga habis. Kemudian, basahkan dengan jus mango ( blend sedikit mango dengan air )
 4.Susunmango hingga habis.
5.Tuangkan bancuhan kastard ke atas susunan buah-buahan tadi.
6.Untuk jeli, larutkan jeli bersama air panas. Kacau hingga sebati.
7.Akhir sekali, tuangkan jeli tersebut di atas kastard dan sejukkan. Bila betul-betul keras, bolehlah dihidangkan

Another check- up

 Yesterday kena pegi antenatal check- up kat my gynae, Dr Zainol. Since dah 33 wks, I pun booked le siap2 the big day nnt. Kitaorang nak Thursday. So, the suitable date would be on 2nd Dec. But, before tu, I have another check-up to go.
 Semalam, masa scan, uri still kat bawah but naik sikit je. Bb pun still in horizontal position. The weight is now 2.5kg. Kalau ikut the birth weights of the princesses, diorang semua around 3 kg ie 3, 3.1 & 3.05kg respectively. This time pun masa bb keluar nnt pun may be ard that wt.
 Untuk operation kali ni, actually I seriau gak coz Dr dah siap2 warning, kalau the previous incision just muat2 utk kluarkn bb & they need more space for BTL, may be kena wat gak sikit vertical incision. Ngeri je bila dgr dia ckp cam tu. Yg horizontal incision tu dah cukup sakit, ni pulak nak tmbh vertical one lak. Ish.. Hopefully, tak perlu le. Masa bb Adalia dulu, they had to push 4 org incl the anaest, Dr Mansor utk kluarkn dia. I yg sedar masa tu, eventhough tak rasa apa2 from my waist down, mmg dah seriau dah masa tu. But, Alhamdulillah semua slamat.
 Meanwhile, since masih larat & ada mood nak try resipi2, I made Rich Choc Pudding. Ni kes nak menghabiskan susu coklat Alysa. Terbeli brand yang dia tak suka. So, terperap le tak de org makan. Resipi cedok dari Jun kat myResipi. Very nice & rich indeed. The princesses love it.

Bahan-bahan ( 1 loyang sederhana besar )

1/2 cawan serbuk koko
1 cawan gula ( I reduced to 3/4 cup )
1/2 cawan susu tepung ( I used susu tepung coklat )
1/2 sudu teh garam
4 1/4 cawan air
4 sudu besar tepung jagung
1/2 sudu teh esen vanilla
3 sudu besar butter
1 paket serbuk agar2 (10-11gm)

Cara-cara
1.Campurkan semua bahan kecuali butter dan kacau selalu hingga mendidih.
2.Masukkan butter, kacau hingga pekat.
3.Angkat dan masukkan kedalam loyang atau acuan yg disukai. Sejukkan.

Baby's Birthday

 Last Friday we went to Bukit Merah Laketown for Baby's 2nd Birthday. That was the second time we celebrated her birthday there. This time we booked 7 rooms for family members. Memula nak celebrate kat rumah je. Tapi tiba2 je Hubby ajak ke situ. Alysa pun dah lama ajak nak pegi swim kat BML.
 Her birthday was actually on Saturday. Tapi celebrate jumaat malam tu. She was excited splashing at the swimmong pool on Friday afternoon & Saturday morning. So, mlm tu buat le makan sikit. I made Oreo Cheesecake ( requested by Alysa ) for her. Kak gave another cake for her & Afif ( celebrated his 2nd birthday 10 days earlier ). Food ada macam2 sampai tak terhabis. But, we had a great time.
 To my dear Baby Adalia, " Happy 2nd Birthday. May you stay as sweet & cheeky as you are. May Allah guides you in whatever you do. We will always love you."

Bahan-bahan:

10 g serbuk agar-agar
1/3 cawan blueberry filling
1/2 cawan gula pasir
4 sudu besar susu pekat manis
1 cawan
2 cawan susu segar
1 sudu besar mentega
2 sudu besar tepung kastard + 2 sudu besar air (dibancuhkan)

Cara-cara
1.Satukan air bersama gula dan serbuk agar-agar. Didihkan hingga larut.
2.Masukkan susu segar dan susu pekat. Kacau sebati.
3.Masukkan bahan-bahan selebihnya dan kacau lagi hingga kelihatan pekat.
4.Tuangkan ke dalam bekas besesuaian dan sejukkan terlebih dahulu.
5.Hiaskan dgn topping blueberry atau fresh blueberries. Sedia untuk dinikmati.

Masih Mood Raya

 Hubby tiap2 malam ada jemputan open house. Normally, open house kat taman we all ni. Kalau weekend baru kitaorang pegi 1 family. Yesterday ada buat open house kat Bertam Perdana. Meriah betul! Macam2 stalls which served different kind of food eg. murtabak, satay, cendol, roti jala, mee goreng, lemang ketupat, laksa, mee kuah, rojak etc. Sampaikan tak termakan semua tu.. Kalau try gak semua stalls tu maunya pecah perut kekenyangan. I really love the murtabak Sg Dua tu. Tak menang tangan dia menggoreng murtabak tu.
 Hari ni lak Zuraida wat open house tp wat kat Damiral's Grill coz bibik dia tak de. So, tak leh le wat kat rumah dia, nnt tak de org nak mengemas..:-) So, this year tak de kambing golek as usual. But, the food prepared by Ely as usual mmg sedap. Hubby 7 I je yang beriye makan. Tp the princesses jamah sikit2 je.
 Bebaru ni masa Sumai & Liza beraya kat rumah I, sempat le prepare bihun soto & puding suji. Puding Suji ni resepi Ila. Normally dia wat kat dlm loyang. Tp I letak kat bekas2 kecik. Senang nak hidang.

Puding Suji


Bahan:
1 cwn tepung suji / semolina
1L susu segar
3 sb gula ( optional )
1 kotak jelly NONA - any flavour. ( I guna perisa strawberry this time )
hirisan peach

Cara:
1. Masak susu , suji & gula hingga pekat.
2. Tuang dalam loyang. Susun hirisan peach.
3. Masak jelly. Tuang di atas campuran suji.

Berbuka @ Jitra

 Penat balik dari KL belum habis, pagi2 smlm mak called jemput berbuka kat rumah. Dia bgtau Pak Cik Lin balik Kedah. So yesterday was mak's turn utk hostkan berbuka. Masa dia called tu Hubby ke market. So, I bgtau le may be tak dapat balik kut. Tup2 bila I balik kerja at 2.30pm tu Hubby tetiba aje ajak balik. But, sempatlah I sediakan Puding Roti Karamel. Then, off we go..
 Sampai rumah Mak, tgk2 dia bersilat sorang2 kat dapur. Kesian.. She started cooking from morning. Mak oi..Kalau I tak sanggup! But as usual, she prepared our favourites eg kerabu perut & pelam, gulai rebung, limpa goreng berlada, masak lemak otak berlada etc. By the time sume org sampai, tgk2 penuh 2 meja dgn laukpauk. Semua pakat bwk macam2...& Ila brought home kereta raya. Nak wat surprise la tu..Today, diorang rasmi kereta dia pakat p Singkir & Tanjung Dawai.

Today ada jamuan berbuka kat dewan fasa 6 ni. So, ada le gotong royong masak from 11am. Tp I tak leh pegi coz today is K.Jun's day off & Hubby lak kerja. Leceh nak bawak the princesses ni. So, Hubby balik 1.30pm tu dia aje yang pegi. Masa tu I dah malas nak pegi.
 For Iftar today, I berbuka sorang2 kat rumah ( Of course le with the princesses yg tak posa ) dgn lauk yg dimasak di dewan. Tapi I goreng gak terubuk utk I & made cucur durian. Nak menghabiskan stok durian.

Cucur Durian


 For cucur durian ni I campur 1 cwn isi durian, 1/2 cwn tepung gandum, 1/2 cwn tepung naik sendiri, 2 sb gula, secubit garam & 1/2 cawan air. Goreng dgn api sederhana. Hasil: Nice & lembut. Crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Bila sejuk pun tak keras. Baby & Adik suka sangat.
 Kek batik ni pulak I wat awal puasa lagi. Tapi baru nak tayang. Selalu buat. Resepi main campak2 je tapi based on resepi erynemysha.

Bahan-bahan ( 5-6 orang )

biskut marie yg telah dipatah dua
1 buku mentega
1 tin susu pekat
1 paket kecil milo
1 botol kecik serbuk koko
sedikit kacang yg telah digoreng tanpa minyak

Cara-cara
1. Cairkan mentega di dalam kuali.
2. Masukkan susu pekat dan kacau sehingga rata.
3. Masukkan milo dan serbuk koko dan kacau dgn rata.
4. Apabila sudah rata, masukkan biskut marie, kacang dan kismis ke dalamnya. Kacau dgn cepat sebelum campuran coklat tadi mengeras di dalam kuali. Gunakan api yg kecil saja.
5. Masukkan ke dalam bekas yg telah disapu sedikit mentega. Mampatkan kek ini dgn menggunakan plastik dan ditekan dgn tangan. Pastikan kek ini telah diratakan dgn sekata ke dalam bekas.
6. Sejukkan.

Pisang Bakar Berkeju & Ayam Mayonis

Akhirnya berjaya jugak habiskan stok pisang. Tadi tanya hubby nak makan lepat pisang ke pisang bakar berkeju. He chose the latter. Lagi senang keja I. Alysa nampak je the chocolate topping & cheese terus mintak nak makan. Sampai nak skip dinner. But of course she had to finish off her dinner before given the treat. Sambil makan tu mulut tu sempat lagi memuji.." pandai mama masak". Hik2.. Actually resipi tu sempoi je but the ingredients i.e. chocolate sauce & cheese mmg favourite dia. So, sedap je la ditekak dia. Adik & Baby tak pandang pun.
 For Iftar today I buat sup ekor & ayam mayonnaise. Punya le berjam2 masak sup ekor tu bagi lembut. Ayam pun perap 2 jam. So, perapan tu mmg meresap le dlm ayam. Ikut resepi asal kena bakar but I goreng je ayam tu. Mmg sedap.

Bahan-bahan:
6 biji Pisang Emas
Keju Parut
Susu Pekat Manis
Sos Coklat  - kalau tak ada, guna bancuhan serbuk milo + air or cooking chocolate pun boleh.

Cara-cara:
1.Kopek kulit dan potong 2 memanjang pisang tersebut.
2.Bakar dalam oven (suhu 180°c selama 10 minit atau bakar guna api dapur sampai pisang agak layu dan berbau wangi.
3.Sapukan krimer manis pada bahagian tengah pisang dan katup semula. Curah sos coklat dan taburkan keju parut.

Bahan-bahan ( 2-3 orang )
8 ketul drumstick
1 sudu besar mayonis
1 kiub ayam
1 sudu besar kicap manis
1 sudu besar sos tiram
Lada hitam secukupnya-tumbuk
2 ulas bawang putih-tumbuk
1/2cm halia-tumbuk

Cara-cara:
1. Perap dengan semua bahan-bahan di atas dalam 1/2 jam. Kemudian bakar. Lagi lama perap, lagi sedap.

Puding Raja

 Semalam dah start shopping untuk diri sendiri. Sambil2 tu survey baju siap2 untuk the princesses so that bila nak shopping bawak diorang tak payah pusing2 lagi. Pegi terus je kat baju yang berkenan dihati. Pegi dgn Hubby je. Plan nak bawak the princesses this monday. Tak sibuk. Wekend ni almaklum le, sume org nak shopping. So, Hubby & I bought stuff for ourselves. Tp tak lengkap lagi. Bju Hubby tak jumpa lagi yang sedondon dgn baju kitaorang. This year kira ok le jugak, tak le selalu keluar shopping during ramadhan. Last year, almost everyday kitaorang keluar pegi shopping..May be sbb I tak larat sama kut this year..
  Balik shopping sempat took a nap. Then baru bersilat kat dapur. I made Puding Raja for dessert. Menghabiskan stok pisang tu. The princesses ni kureng sikit makan pisang. Ikut mood gak. The love juicy fruits like watermelon & oranges.

Bahan-bahan

Jala mas ( I tak letak pun, mmg tak tau rupa pun..:-) )
Buah prune tanpa biji
Biji gajus
Buah ceri
Pisang

Untuk kuah puding
400 ml susu cair
200 ml air
2 biji telur kuning
2 sudu besar gula
2 daun pandan disimpul
1 sudu teh esen vanilla

Cara-cara

1. Pisang dibelah 2.Goreng pisang dengan minyak + sedikit minyak sapi.Bila sudah kekuningan,angkat dan toskan.
2.Goreng pula gajus.
3. Satukan semua bahan untuk kuah, masak atas api sederhana. kacau hingga kuah pekat dan kemudian sejukkan.
4.Cara menghidang:
Susun pisang goreng di dlam pinggan / mangkuk.Kemudian letakkan jala mas, buah prune, buah ceri dan gajus.Akhir sekali tuangkan kuah dan sedia dihidangkan.

Note: Personally, I prefer my humble pengat pisang karamel. Tapi comparing both Hubby cakap lebihkurang je rasa.

Persiapan Syawal 1431

 Hari Raya ni selalunya the kids yang seronok nak celebrate. Tapi suasana dah tak macam dulu2. Now ni kuih raya boleh tunjuk2 je. Dulu kitaorang beriya tolong mak buat kuih-muih. Kalau tak buat, tak de le kuih raya. Cake mixer pun tak de masa tu. So, Abang le yang jadi tukang pukul adunan kek coz dia mmg suka kek buah.
 Kalau ketupat palas pulak, mak masak from scratch i.e gaul pulut & santan, then balut. Kena rebus berjam-jam baru masak. Now, dia dah short-cut. Masak dulu santan & pulut bagi separuh masak. Then balut. So, rebus ketuapat tak perlu le lama2. Nak pulak guna rice cooker jer. It did shorten the cooking time but half-life pun pendek. Tak tahan lama sangat. 2-3 hari je tahan. Tp by that time ketupat pun dah abis! Makan pulak dengan Ayam Kampung Masak Anga. Laju je la habis ketupat tu.
 Yesterday bawak the princesses pegi ukur baju. I dah tempah awal2 kat my regular tailor. Cuma ukuran je pegi ukur lambat sikit. Bebudak kan cepat membesar. Kalau ukur awal2, by the time raya, dah kecik baju tu. 
 For casual wear i.e the gowns, may be in a few days time baru nak start shopping. Actually dah ada a few each for them baju baru yang beli kat KL & Beijing yang tak pakai lagi. So, this time tak perlu le shopping banyak pasang lagi.
 Iftar yesterday, I made dragon fruit juice from 1/2 of the fruit yang ila bagi tu. Refreshing sesangat. Kuih lak buat pulak karipap sardin tu bagi puas makan & pengat pisang karamel.

Penang-Johor-Kedah

 Hari ni dah hari ke6 berpuasa. Wah..within this 6 days I dah berbuka kat Batu Pahat, Penang & Jitra. 2-2 kg dah balik. Lepas balik je dari Johor petang khamis lepas, Mak called early Friday morning. Bagi hint suruh balik kg. Hubby yang jawab phone tu mcm blur je yang mak bg hint suruh blk kg. Dia cakap nak balik next week. Bila sedar dari mamai dia, baru dia tau mak suruh balik kg le tu.

The princesses keletihan otw balik Johor. Baby tido sampai ternganga...Punya le berat 2 org tu menempel kat dia..:D


So, ptg tu siap balik Jitra pulak. Penat weh..Tp berbaloi balik. Ceriakan hati parents & at the same time makan sedap2! Penuh meja. Friday Ila & family pun balik kg gak.. Penuh le meja with our favourites eg Otak masak lemak lada, Perut cicah, sup ekor, ikan tiga rasa etc. Pendek kata, masak lembu tu dari kepala ke ekor lah..hikhik..The next day kak & family pun balik untuk berbuka sama2. Meriah betul..

 Last week mmg I byk cuti. Balik je keje hari ni, kena pinjam keta k.Jun lak. Hubby bawak 2-2 kunci kereta pegi keja. Tamak betoi! Nasib I tak kena menapak ke tempat keja. Kalau tak maunya mogok masak sebulan..haha..Ada spare key tapi kunci steering lock pun dia angkut ke tempat keja. Nasib I ingat lagi bwk keta manual ( K.Jun's car manual le pulak..).

Bahan-bahan :

10g serbuk agar2
650ml air
180gm gula pasir
60gm mentega
1 biji telur
½ tin susu cair
1 sudu makan tepung custard
1 sudu makan serbuk koko
1/2 sudu teh vanilla
pewarna merah dan kuning secukupnya (I guna warna hijau & kuning )
 
Cara-cara:
1.Masak agar2, air dan gula hingga mendidih dan ketepikan
2.Pukul telur sebentar menggunakan whisker kemudian masukkan susu dan tepung custard dan kacau hingga adunan ini rata, kemudian ditapis
3.Setelah ditapis, satukan adunan telur dan agar2 dan kacau lagi hingga rata, serta masak semula sehingga adunan mendidih kemudian masukkan mentega dan vanilla dan kacau hingga rata. Tutup api. 4.Bahagikan adunan kpd 3 mangkuk (sama byk). Then bubuh koko (campurkan sedikit air dulu) ke dalam salah satu adunan di dalam mangkuk dan kacau hingga rata , adunan yang dalam 2 mangkuk lagi masing2 letak kuning dan merah.
5.Sengetkan loyang sedikit  i.e. biar satu hujung tu tinggi (lapik/alaskan utk tinggikan).
6.Mula2 tuangkan satu senduk makan adunan warna merah ke dalam loyang/bekas (dihujung yg paling rendah tu ler), kemudian satu senduk makan adunan warna kuning dan last skali satu senduk adunan warna coklat. Ulang buat cam ni sampai semua adunan habis.
7.Bila dah siap, letakkan semula loyang/bekas ke kedudukan asalnya. Then, masukkan ke dalam peti sejuk.

Tasty Mince Meat And Peas With Rice

Esok nak balik Johor untuk sambut Ramadhan since raya this year turn kat Kedah..:-) So. fridge mmg kosong especially barang basah. Nak beli lunch kat kedai, alamatnya lambat le the princesses would have their lunch, since I selalu balik lambat sikit on Monday. So, I made do with minced meat.
 Tercari-cari minced meat rice, at last jumpa le this one which is very similar to the one I had kat hostel dulu. Sedap mak cik2 dapur masak. Masa kat hostel dulu makan dengan dalca. Tapi ni I buat makan dgn fried mushroom & celery. Sedap. Angkat bakul le pulak..:D. Resepi ni memang simple.

Tasty Mince Meat And Peas With Rice ( Nasi Daging )

Ingredients

2 cup long grain rice
3 tablespoon ghee
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely grated
6 whole cloves ( I used 2 cloves, 2 cardamom , kulit kayu manis )
250 gm minced lamb or beef
2 cup green peas ( I used mixed vege + cashew)
4 cup hot water ( I added 1/2 cup milk )
3 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garam masala ( I used beef curry powder )

Directions:

1. Wash rice and leave to drain.
2. Heat ghee in a large saucepan with a tight-fitting lid. Fry the cumin with the onion, garlic, ginger and cloves until onion is soft and golden brown.
3. Add the mince and fry over moderately high heat until the mince is browned.
4. Add peas and half cup water, stir well, cover and cook until peas are half done.
5. Add rice and hot water and stir in the salt.
6. Bring quickly to the boil, cover, turn heat very low and cook for 10 minutes.
7. Uncover and sprinkle with garam masala but do not stir. Replace lid and continue cooking for a further 10 minutes or until liquid is all absorbed and rice is cooked through. Serve hot.

Note: I tumis bahan2 & added all the ingredients. Lepas tu masak dalam rice cooker. Tambah daun pandan. Senang kerja..:-)

 Ni pulak nak tayang dessert I wat masa Hafiz's 5th bday. Saje terlebih rajin wat banyak layer. Resepi kat sini.
