Spot of Tea Box from Shanna

Hello all you awesome paper crafters!!! Shanna here today with a special box I made with my new 1-2-3 Punch Board!!!

Have you ever wanted to make a series of boxes for fun or for gifts? Well I got this new punch board and love it. I decided to create one using some kraft cardstock so I could use up some scraps of the paper "Spot of Tea".

I embellished the box with some flowers and lace from my stash.

I really think using a full sheet of Marion's papers would do awesome too!

The top of the box locks into place and it best used with stiff paper.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Christmas layout with Yuko

Hi!Friends!  It's Yuko.
We have prepared a Christmas tree today.
So I want to make a Christmas layout.
But there is no Christmas line paper in Marion Smith.
So I challenged it with paper of Mad Tea Party.

【magic】
I colored it with brown and black to keep the atmosphere that was a vintage alive because it was precious Marion Smith and did it in a classical atmosphere.

Gift Card Envie with Sandi

Well, hello! Sandi here today, wiping her brow!
Have you ever had a project that fought you all the way? Well, that was this one!
I thought it would be fun and quick but my little project seemed doomed from the start.
But you know what? I persevered and now I love it so much, I'm not sure I can give it away!

Anyway, I was wanting to make this little gift card/memory envelope from the Time Keeper Tinker paper shown above. And I wanted to pair it with a variety of paper that might not been done before. It's always a fun thing to rummage through my MSD stuff and decide what I want to use! I ended up with Mad Tea Party, Romance Novel Chapter 2, Junque Gypsy and of course, Time Keeper.

Loved adding a second diagonal pocket on the front and a couple of extra cards tucked inside there! Mixing the collections was actually loads of fun! Everything Marion Smith designs goes together so seamlessly.

Of course,  finding the "perfect" embellishments is not always the easiest thing to do when you are trying to accomplish multiple tasks.  I finally settled on a vine from my stash. Also, I've had this little wooden bird forever and could never find a use for him but he's perfect here!

Do be careful not to glue your papers to wrong side of the envie.  Just sayin'. Don't you love the fussy cut butterfly? So classic!

I took such pains to use the green and cream Mad Tea Party "Tea Party" papers and then mostly covered them up but they are oh, so pretty, sigh! I still adore that collection! Then, I've used lots of fussy cut pieces. The rhinestones were just a little remnant that I hadn't used. Love when that happens!

After several hours of messing around on the front, seriously, yes, I didn't do anything to the back except add the buttons for closure. One is sewn and the other added with a foam adhesive, Next time, I'll plan ahead and sew and them both on.

I'm excited about my end result and think it will be perfect for gift card giving this summer!
Actually, I can't wait to get started on another!

Altered Tea Tray Decor by Shanna Shands

Hello to you lovelies out there. Shanna here to share something new I created.

I am beyond excited to share this altered piece with you all. I altered a tray for decor. It is great to set up in a tea party.

First, I painted the tray with black chalkboard paint.

I think cut down the paper "Rabbit Hole" to fit the inside and fussy cut the image out of the lower left hand corner.

I added the cut out image with some cardboard recycled from a shipping box to give it a little dimension.

I got ready to get some flowers added to the altered piece. I pulled out some pigments from the color lab in the spray bottle. Then I misted my flowers.

Then I pulled some pieces from the "Cut & Create" paper, layered them, distressed the edges, and added it to my tray.

Then I pulled my flowers together and glued them in.

I added some dots, and more pieces from the "Cut & Create" paper. I love this.

Here you can see the flower I sprayed using my Color Lab Kit. The shimmer is lovely.

Thanks so much for stopping by today Design Team Member Shanna!

Hi Everyone, it's Yasmin on the blog today and yes it Saturday and my Marion Smith Designs day.. I'm now going to post everyother saturday projects filled with Marion Smith Design products starting with this saturday. This time I have a layout to share with you.

I've played with pink!! not often I do that since I only have boys to scrap for myself. I've used papers from the "Garment District" line and the "Mad Tea Party" 6x6" Paper Pad.

I used a bit of gesso on the busy background and used cut outs from the "Garment District" line including some 6x6" papers from the "Mad Tea Party" line to put together some layers behind the photo. I also used some of the junque ane gems to decorate!

These are the products I've used on this layout:

I'm actually quite happy with this layout. Would love to hear your opinion! :) Thanks for stopping by and leave us a comment and I'll leave one back! :)

Have a creative day!
