Bloom Impressions and Tags Galore!

Hello Lovelies!

Keri Sallee here and I am so excited to share with you 3 little tags I made to show how you can make something fabulous...no matter whether you have a little time or a lot of time.

Supplies:

MSD "Garment  District" 6x6 Paper
MSD "Mad Tea Party" Rabbit Hole-12x12 Paper
MSD Junque and Gems "Rhinestone Button"
MSD Junque and Gems Metal Arrow
MSD "Love U" Stamp
MSD "Texture" Stamp

Faber Castel Gelato-White
Archival Ink by Ranger-Jet Black
Distress Ink-Vintage Photo
Liquitex Matte Gel Medium
Sizzix Susan's Garden Flower Petal Die
Lace
Vintage Hymnal

LEVEL 1

Let's Keep it simple, but elegant!

1) Swipe your white gelato along the edges of your tag and then lightly smear with your finger.
2) Stamp the heart image from the MSD "Love U" stamp set using your Archival Ink.
3) Glue Arrow to the corner.

LEVEL 2

Now let's work up some layers!

1) Cover your tag with the striped paper from "Garment District."
2) Stamp with the MSD "Texture" Stamp and ink the edges.
3) Cut out a butterfly from the "Garment District " paper. Use the negative as a stencil to make a white butterfly with your gelato. Lightly outline.
4) Fussy Cut your favorite images from the "Garment District" paper. Ink Edges. Organize them to your liking.
5) Add lace.

LEVEL 3

Let's add some SERIOUS dimension.

1) Start by choosing your paper. I used MSD's Rabbit Hole paper from the "Mad Tea Party" line.
2) Using a die cut to cut petals. I used a petal die from the Susan's Garden Collection from Sizzix.
3) Assemble your flower using a hot glue gun. Watch Marion's You Tube video...it's REALLY helpful!
4) Take a length of ribbon about 1.5 wide by about 3-4 inches long. Put a small amount of hot glue onto a non-stick surface. Arrange your lace in a circle, using s pencil or something similar to press it down.
5) Once the glue is cooled, peel it up from the surface and glue it to the middle of your flower.
6) Using your hot glue gun, add your MSD J&G "Rhinestone Button" to the middle. Set your flower aside.
7) To cover your tag, add small pieces of your vintage hymnal. I used a Matte Gel Medium to keep my vintage feel. Trim edges or wrap them around. Allow to dry or use a heat gun to speed the process up.
8)  Once it is dry, use your fingers to lightly rub your Vintage Photo Distress ink over the surface. The need is to hit the high points, so don't rub too hard.
9) Add your finished flower.

So there you go! Loads of fun...no matter how much time you have.

I hope you enjoyed today's projects.

XOXO,
KERI

Acrylic Love U Tag

Today, I'm sharing with you all an acrylic tag which I've decorated using Marion Smith Designs Garment District 6x6 paper pad. These small pieces of pattern papers are perfect for small projects such as cards, tags and even mini albums.

I've used the "Love U" stamp set to stamp the sentiment and a key from the Geared Up Junque and Gems to tie to the tag.

I've cut out some vintage pieces from this collection to embellish this tag. I've also used the Bloom Impression tool with Tim Holtz's tattered floral dies to create the flower on this tag.

Supplies:
Garment District 6x6 paper pad
Pearl White stamens, Glitter White stamens
Love U stamps
Geared Up Junque ad Gems
Gems
Bloom Impression Flower Tool

Thanks for stopping by!

My Debut Post with Marion Smith Designs

Hello friends!

Today I'm bringing to you my very first post for Marion Smith Designs. It's been awhile since I've created with such amazing artwork and detailed papers so it was definitely a lot of fun!

"You Make Me Smile"

This was created using papers from the "Mad Tea Party" collection. Just love the amazingly rich colours in this line, and also different designs that I can fussy-cut out for layering.

some close ups:

I actually made those flowers with the new Bloom Impressions Tool and it was so much fun! So very different from the pre-made flowers that I'm used to but it has definitely added a lot of dimension to my layout. Plus I can add matching Junque and Gems stuff to jazz up the flowers. Now I'm just working with patterned paper but I'll be trying out fabric real soon. As you can see, lots of fussy cutting and layering the different pieces.

Junque and Gems resin flowers, jewel and a metal butterfly. I also added a flourish chipboard which I lightly dabbed with acrylic primer randomly.

Supplies:

So that's all I have for now. Hope you've enjoyed my project for today.
Until then, happy scrapping!

love,
Jelissa

Nirvana Mini Album by Tonya Gibbs

WOW this mini is jammed tight with lots of Marion Smith Design Products, and tons of techniques.  Yep - I'm still on a gold kick and wait until you see how these gold accents really bring this album to life.  I used the Nirvana Collection, scraps from several digital kits, Junque & Gems, all of  Marion's stamps, Marion's Dies, Bloom Impression Tool and some of the resin pieces on this mini.

Over the last few months, I've shared several tutorials that have led to the making of this mini.
Last week  I shared a tutorial on creating flowers with Marion's new Bloom Impression Tool.  This flower uses the Bloom Tool & Marion's Large Rose Petal Die, and Leaves & Stamens Die.

A few weeks ago,  I shared how I made a Garden Mother's Day card, and used that same technique to create the section hinges.  and the pockets on the inside cover.

Here are a few of my favorite spreads

In January I shared with you  Wooden Ticket tutorial. I think these little tickets look awesome with your embellishment clusters.

Here is a complete walk through video of this little mini so you can see each page!

If you missed those other posts, I hope you  get to take a peek soon.

Thanks for stopping in today
