Hi folks its the start of a new month and here is my altered art project for

Sadly it will be my last, due to family and work commitment  I am finding it so difficult to be creative, I thank Elaine and the team for my time with them .
This month I decided to create an altered tag
I painted the tag with gesso, first layer smooth then the second layer I  left texture on the tag, once dry I applied stampin up snow flake stamps and embossed them.
After that I applied blue distress ink and silver gilding wax. To finish off I embossed a hand written sentiment and applied an assortment of sequins.

HOME

Hi folks its the start of a new month and here is my altered art project for

For this months project I decided to alter a picture I picked up at the amenity site.
I drew around letters I had got as a free gift from a magazine to create my word.
I painted them with red pain and let them dry.
I then applied a thick layer of gesso mixed with crackle and had to let the magic take place.
When the crackle had happened I added gilding wax and to finish gave them a couple of layers of clear spray varnish.
I chose red and white paper for the background (due to a lot of my kitchen accessories being red) I also added red and white buttons and add the letters using 3d tape.

Many thanks for visiting , make sure you visit the blog to see the rest of the DT cards.

this is how the canvas were painted

I applied a layer of white gesso
I cut out the die cut vase then applied clear textured paint and then added green glitter glue
I covered the canvas in tarnished brass distress ink and edged it with pewter. I then covered cocktail sticks with paper for the stems and applied them under the Gerbera flowers and into the vase when dry.I then and added gems to the flower centres.

In Remebrance

Hi folks its the start of a new month and here is my altered art project for

This month I have altered a glass that I got free from the amenity site.

I cleaned the glass and dried it.
The orange thing is a Cushie neck pillow that once the glass is in place doesn't move.
I stamped the image on to paper then fussy cut it out, applied removable adhesive to the image and placed it inside the glass.

I then applied glass edging paint.

Once dry I used glass paints to paint the image.
Poppies are my favourite flower.

Finished glass.
as a candle holder , with sand in the bottom
