F4A16 Jelly Filled Doughnut!

Odd title I know! LOL but that is the name of todayc challenge on SCS! F4A15 is mine all mine! So I thought it would be a good idea to make a card like a jelly filled doughnut! what wouls that entail you may ask? Well a Jelly filled doughnut usually has a whole (you know where the jelly is inserted) and all the YUMMY stuff is on the inside...that is what I want your cards to be like today! I want a whole on the base of your card and then put all the pretties on the inside! Fun right! I know I'm super excited myself!

And now for some pics!

For the outside of the card I simply embossed it with a CB embossing folder and then cut out the window and added a rhinestone. Done. Easy peasy!

The inside was super easy too. I simply cut a piece of the marrakech DP to size and added my imade on a dimentional that I had colored with watercolor pencils and blender pens.

To jazz up the inside of the card just a tad I simply cut a strip of vanilla cardstock and punched a nice border(this is my fav right now! LOL) and I then added more DP and some gems...too fun! I think the sentiment on the jar speaks for itself and I really did not feel a need for a sentiment. The {Baked with Love} digi stamp by Sweet N Sassy stamps is awesome! This set is available as a digi or an actual stamp set...too cool!

Supplies:

Stamps: Baked with Love by Sweet N Sassy Stamps

Ink: none

Paper: Vanilla by PTI, Marrakech designer paper by basic Grey

Accessories:fancy scallop punch, rhinestones, watercolor pencils

Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you'll play along with us!

Apple Lily Preview

Hi ho, hi ho it's preview time you know! Hi ho hi ho hi ho hi ho...hehehe I just absolutely adore this little image...she is just as sweet as pie...apple pie in fact! reminds me a little of snow white with her little apple!

I love simple cards...CAS, Clean And Simple and one layer cards...they are the easiest for me to work with and they seem to turn out nicely I do believe. My little card here measures 4.25 square and she is just too sweet. I made a simple thank you card to give to my sons teacher for being so flexible with us being out of the country for so long and having her help me get all his school work together for us to have on hand with us. But you could also use this little beauty to use as a tag on an apple pie or other hand baked treats...hmmm maybe I'll try and use her for that soon!

Anywho, this little cutie will be available to all for purchasing pleasure on Tuesday...so hop on over to the Little Paper Shop blog and see what the rest of the DT has come up with!

Blessings to all!!

Betwixed by Jena...

Today is Little Paper Shop sneak peak of Jena Witch stamp set that will be released on Tuesday...but the DT has some pretty amazing samples for you!!! She is just the cutest and I had soooo much fun playing with her and coloring her in!
Here is my card...it's pretty simple really, but adorable non the less, and a lot of cutting with my exacto knife!!! LOL I fisrt stamped Jena with stazon black ink and the used my colluzzle cutting system and cut around her as much as possible, then I took my exacto knife and went to work. I also paper pieced her dress from a cool leave print paper...super old pack that I can't even remember where it came from! LOL

The paper I used was naturals while and a little more sturdy than whisper white, once I cut her out I colored her in with watercolor pencils and then used a blender pen to blend it all together...added the faux stitching and called it a day!

On the inside I used some cloudy paper, pumched a 1 3/8 inch circle punch and sponged using summer sun, creamy carmel and pumpkin pie...it's supposed to be the moon behind her...I hope it turne dout okay! Added some ribbon, stamped a sentiment and called it a day!

Dimentional CAS31

Today's Clean and Simple31 (CAS) challenge on SCS is to make a card using dimentionals....so I did! LOL

I really enjoy the CAS challenge...I LOVE one layer cards and always try to use them for the CAS challenge, because really, how much more clean and simple can it get?

For my card today I used some Rubber Romance Stamps...the main image is called Paige with Present and I think she is just stunning! You can purchase page here at the RRS Etsy Shop .

For my card I simply cut a pice of 8.5x11 piece of cardstock in half to 4.25x11 and then folding it in half. I then stamped Paige in stazon black and water colored using a blemder pen and ink pads.

Tie a ribbon and a charm(found these are A.C. Moore in the jewlry section!) and popped up the sentiment...also from rubber romance!

Paiges skirt is paper pieced using Bella rose designer series paper...used both sides, one for the top of the skirt and then flipped it and used the other side for the under ruffle!

Supplies:
Stamps: Paise with present and sentiment both from Rubber Romance
Ink: Stazon Black, Ridding Hood red, pink pirouette, chocolate chip
Paper: Naturals white, Bella Rose Designer Paper by SU!
Accessories: 1 3/8 circ;e punch, key tag punch, blender pens, pink ribbon, charm, dimentionals

Thank you sooo much for stopping by!

CAS inspired

Todays inspiration 29 challenge was a shopping inspiration from this wonderful site. go check it out and see what you can see!

I decided after looking at the website that I was going to make 2 cards using the same stamps but in different ways. I loved how they show different ways to use the clothing items...so I translated to stamps! What do you think?
I made a wide card and used bashful blue stripped ribbon and the soft subtles colors for this card.

Here is the tall one...just done with bold bright colors and real red stipped ribbon...had to hand stitch the ribbon because I have no sweing machine here...silly me left it at home thinking I wouldn't need it! hahaha!!!

Supplies:

Stamps: Say Charge by MFT

Paper: Confetti white by SU!

Ink: stazon black

Accessories: real red and bashful blue stripped ribbon, crafters tool kit, thread, SU! markers

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Another LSC challenge card...

I had an impromtu birthday party to attend this evening and I decided to make hima super quick card and fill with cash...I wanted simple and I wanted quick...so I used a basic layout that I hadlready used this week, but instead of embossing...I debossed...I think it turned out super cute and I know the boys Momma loved it! LOL

Here is a closeup of the card for you...I love how the debossing looks! (simply flip your CB folder upside down and then run through the machine as normal) I added a a silver brad to add some accent and since the little cupcae was so small I added a little white square to break up the space between the cupcake wrapper and DSP in the background.

I don't know if you can see it, but the upcake has chuncky glitter on top and is also popped up on a dimentional...too cute...the glitter was my daughters choice...she's 3.5! LOL

And here is a full view of the card...cute huh! LOVE IT!!! Alwahough it's had to take a good pi of this card...I love making them...this cuttlebug folder needs to look out! Lots of use coming it's way!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sugar By http://www.littlepapershop.com/ sentiment from Stampin' Up! retired stamp
Ink: Stazon blacl
Paper: Shimmery white, SU! DSP
Accessories: CB folder, blender pen, chuncky glitter, big shot

LSC232...I'm Hungry!

Todays Limited Supplies challenge 232 is to make a project using food or something food related as your main image! But with a twist...theonly color cardstock you can use has to have a food name...barely banana, chocolate chip, creamy carmel...you get the point! The hostess (Berlycece...aka Kim) did say we can use white to stamp out image...so I opted for shimmery white as my main image...and stazon black to stamp the images...but I went by the books for the rest! I used only reinkers and a blender pen to color everything in...al woth food names!
I made it a pretty simple card and layout...I love one layer cards and this set really lent itself to it well! I hope you like it!!!
Supplies
Stamp: Garden Flopsy by MFT
Ink: Stazon black, reinkers, creamy carmel, more mustard, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, close to cocoa, old olive and pumpkin pie
Paper: shimmery white cardstock
Accessories: 1/8 inch punch, small oval punch, gingham ribbon
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed day and please play along in this fun challenge!

CAS challenge 8/3/09

So todays CAS (clean and simple) challenge on SCS is to use stitching on your cards...weather it be real stitching or faux! I opted for faux...since I don't have my machine here...boo hiss!
So for my card I wanted it to be EXTREMLY simple and clean...So I used my ultimate FAV paper in the whole wide world! Shimmery white cardstock! It rocks and it's sooo fancy! And I used my smewhat neglected embossing folder...the one with the frame...I just had to have that one and it makes awesome cards!
Once I cut, scored and embossed my card, all I did was use my exacto knife an cut out the opening of the frame...leaving a little smidge so I could stitch around it! I then used a micro fine tip point and did my deed...stitching! Took a piece of designer paper and cut it to 4 x 5.25 and adhered it to the inside of the card. Then on the little scrap that I cut out from the frame, I stamped the little duck from the Stampin' Up! set called "Goody Goody Gum Drop", hostess level three from last years catalog, and colored it using rose red ink and a blender pen,,,added a touch of summer sun to the beach and some close to cocoa for the wheels...cut, add dimentional and voila! Card complete!

And here is a bit of a close up so you can see the cards awesomeness and sheer simplicity! I did add a rhinestoneto the little bow...I think it looks super cute!

Supplies:

Stamps: Goody goody gumdrops by SU!

Ink: Stazon Black, and re inkers in rose red, close to cocoa, summer sun

Paper: shimmery white, rose red designer series paper

Accessories; Micro point pen, blender pens, rhine stone brads, big shot, CB embossing folder, dimentionals

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get a change to play in Today's challenge CAS26!

On a little side note, my brother-in-law was kind enough to point out to me tonight that most computers today, most programs for that matter, have a spell check feature...I really don't know what he was trying to get at! I guess he doesn't know that I have 3 small kids and am just typing as fast as I can to get it posted with no time to proof read or spell check! But you know what Gary, Jesus loves me and my imperfections, He accepts me for who I am, mmistakes and all...why can't you? (HEHEHE!!!)

5 Dirty Challenges 2 Cards!

So yesterday I didn't get any stamp time and now I'm playing catch up on the Dirty Dare Challenges. The first one actually also incorporated a challenge from JullieHrr on Tuesday to make a one layer card! I really do like one layer cards, they are fun to make and super cute...not to mention easy on the wallet! LOL

So for this card I have 3 challenges covored. JullieHRR for one layer, Lauren's challenge for Monochromatic cards, and Jenn Balcers Challenge, an inspiration challenge, I was inspired by the lush bow on that yummy looking cake, so I added a lush satin bow to my card!

If you notice near the top, I thought her clevage was a bit too low, so I made her wear a little lacy camie under her dress! I used the scallop punch and a 1/16th hole punch to create that!

I started off by sketching out a template on half a sheet of scrap paper and then cut it out of shimmery white cardstock (this is a full sheet folded in half), I then added the regal rose sponging and then the rose red sponging all around. The final step of stamping was to add the baroque motif stamp set stamped in purely pomegranate and the flower buds in regal rose.

Last, but certainly not leasy, I added the ribbon and these lush half pearls to make it look even more elegant. The ribbon turned out just like I had envisioned, but then I added the center pearl with too much adhesive (note to self, next time DON'T use pop up glue dots!) Maybe I can add some glitter to mask the huge blob of glue! All in all I'm pleased with how it turned out...I don't know who I'll be giving it to, but I hope they like it...whoever they are!

What You'll Need

Stamps: Baroque motifs

Paper: shimmery white cardstock

Ink: Regal rose, rose red, purely pomegranate

Accessories:ribbon, pearls (pretties kit) , scallop border punchsatin ribbon, 1/16th hole punch, sponges

This card was made for 2 challenges. Holly's Sketch challenge and Sharon's Stamp simply challenge. For this card it was mostly a paper cutting session and the card was done in a flash...I love how it turned out and I think the little birdie looks cute in that print!

What you'll need:

Stamps: A little birdie told me

Ink: Staz-on timber brown, really rust, chocolate chip

Paper: Chocolate Chip cardstock (su!) certainly Celery cardstcock (su!) really rust cardstock (su!) designer paper by BoBunny

Accessories: ribbon scallop border punch, sponge, 1/16th hole punch

Thanks for stopping by!

Dirty Dare Tuesday

I have been doing the Dirty Dare 08 challenges on Splitcoast Stampers and have been having a blast...today I combine all 3 challenges. Michelle's Challenge was to make a manly card. Christines Challenge was to make a card using water coloring. And the FAMOUS JulieHRR's challenge was to make a card with a white base. I hope I did the challenges justice...I don't know that I would call my card manly, maybe boyish, bit I still like it!

This card was actually super simple to make! I used my nestabilities to cut out my rectanglr opening and then embossed it with the number cuttlebug embossing folder. i then stamped tyhe image with black stazon ink and colored it in using my aqua painter and reinkers. Added some glitter, ribbon and punched out 3 1/4 inch circles and called it a day...So what do you think?

What will you need?
Stamps: Pun Fun
Paper: Shimmery white
Ink: Stazon black, wild wasabi and blue bayou
Accessories: Nestabilities, wild wasabi stripped ribbon (on sale now!) 1/4 inch punch, glitter, aqua painter

Don't forget about THE BLOG CANDY HERE. you have until Monday to sign up before I pick a winner.

And Don't worry I'll be back later today with my Tuesday's Teacher...just putting the finishing touches on the card! It will probably be after bed time, but I do have it done believe it or now!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

Sissy is Hosting a bridal shower...

So I had a little work to do! I stared with the invites a few months ago and have now completed the set! She asked me to make her 25 shower favors, 30 thank you note cards and a scrapbook for the bride to be! So here are some pictures of the projects! You have already seen the favors from this Tuesdays entry, so we will skip right long to the thank you cards and the Scrapbook!

Here is a little look at the front of the album, I stamped the cover with SU! ink...normally I would use craft ink, but since I was just doing a small portion that really didn't matter if it got a little blurry, I decided to go ahead and use the classic! I then stamped the over lay with the encore silver and the date with the black stazon...I followed it up with a little heat set with my embossing gun...not too long about 20 seconds or so.
A little closer view so you can see what the detail looks like...neato huh!
This is the last page in the album...I somehow got rid of the picture of the center pages, but they look similar to this one, On this one is a spot for someone to write what the bride is getting so that she cn keep all important things together...and not loose her list for her thank you notes! The other pages have a spot for th bride's picture on one side and a spot for each guest to write a little something to the bride...I love this idea, something the bride will cherish forever!
And these are her thank you cards! Aren't they sweet! I didn't want anything too complicated...since I was making 30, they are all heat embossed and one layer... I really like how they turned out and I lvoe how the thank you kinda looks like the stem of the flower!

If you are interested in a gift package similar to this one please feel free to e-mail me here for any questions you might have!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stampin'
