Apple Lily Preview

Hi ho, hi ho it's preview time you know! Hi ho hi ho hi ho hi ho...hehehe I just absolutely adore this little image...she is just as sweet as pie...apple pie in fact! reminds me a little of snow white with her little apple!

I love simple cards...CAS, Clean And Simple and one layer cards...they are the easiest for me to work with and they seem to turn out nicely I do believe. My little card here measures 4.25 square and she is just too sweet. I made a simple thank you card to give to my sons teacher for being so flexible with us being out of the country for so long and having her help me get all his school work together for us to have on hand with us. But you could also use this little beauty to use as a tag on an apple pie or other hand baked treats...hmmm maybe I'll try and use her for that soon!

Anywho, this little cutie will be available to all for purchasing pleasure on Tuesday...so hop on over to the Little Paper Shop blog and see what the rest of the DT has come up with!

Blessings to all!!

Pretty Little Box

I love making boxes...they pretty much rock! And they are useful to boot! I made this little box for a friend as a thanks for having us over...it was filled with chocolate!

But before I show you the box, I'll have to show you the card...cuz it's pretty cute too. Pretty simple but it get's the point accross!

I used my cuttlebig Olivia alphabet to cut out the "thanks" and then I used my only orange craft inks to color it... I love the pop of color it adds! And since we were going over there for dinner I thought the little table and chairs from the {Garden Gate} stamp set was a great touch!

And here is the little box...isn't it sooooo cute! I got the template from Mels Blog, and for the life of me I can't find the link now...I need to get better at saving it when I find it...poooo!

I super LOVE how the handles came out and I followed Lauren's Step by step instructions she has on her video but smaller...my clips and box were smaller than hers and I think it looks super cute, big or small!

Don't you think it's super cute? Even my friends son mentioned how awesome it was! hehehe Now that's the seal of accomplishment!

And here is the whole set...I even made a beaded pen...hadn't made one in ages LOVE them! I need me some more red tape! Good thing I have plenty of micro beads!

Supplies:

Stamps: {Garden Gate} by Little Paper Shop

Ink: Stazon black, only orange craft ink

Your Next Taylored Sketch Inspiration

Hello stamping friends...sorry for my absence this week...I was a bit busy with my mom and sister sisiting me on the Island...and they only stayed for one short week so we had to take advantage of every minute!

But I am back today and I have a card that meets several fun challenges in blog land. I used the sketch from last weeks Taylored Expressions SC86 post and I used the IC challenge 202 for todays challenge as well as the Pink and Yellow challenge from Your Next Stamp challenge blog...lot's of fun and a super cute card!

This stamp set set is called {Birthday Princess} and it's by Your Next Stamp...they have some super fun stamps and you should go check them out...they just lowered their shipping costs too, so now they are even more of a bargain! I did some paper piecing on these gorgeous girls...I love paper piecing...it turns out so super cute and it's soooo easy! I then colored the rest of the girls, the hair and skin. Added some glitter and gems and called it a day...I did use a cuttlebug alphabed {Olivia} for the Thanks...I haven't used that think in a while...I really like how it turned out! Although, I think that I really need more ribbon...can a girl have too much ribbon, buttons, pretty papers, stamps, accessories, hmmm what else does a girl need! LOL

This is the tile that I was inspired by over at Xenia Taler . I was inspired by the pretty colors and the dots are just awesome! I used gems instead of gems and I think it looks super cute! The saffron on the tile is just gorgeous!

Supplies:
Stamps: Birthday Princess by Your Next Stamp
Ink: Stazon black
Paper: retired designer paper, so saffron, regal rose
Accessories: gems, cuttlebug Olivia font, water color pencils, glitter

Thank you sooo much for stopping by! I hope you like my card today! Happy Stampin!!!

October LPS Sneak Peek #1

So the Little Paper Shop is going to be having 2 releases this month...one being this Saturday in honor of world card making day and the other being on the 14th. Twice the excitement! I am super excited about both releases, but I super love the set we are previewing today...it's called Topiary and it is so stinkin cute! It's a 3x4 set and has this super cute tree you will see below and 5 sentiments...I just love how versatile it is! Great job Julia!!!

First I wanted to show you this super cute little box...It's called a mini Magazine bog but I can not remember where I got the instrcutions...blog surfing one day and I didn't write it down...shame on me! (if you know who created this please let me know so Ic an give proper credit please!) Isn't it just the cutest? I lvoe this little card set...the cards measure 3 x 4 and I just think they are precious! A perfect little thank you for a gift or kind gesture someone extended to you!

And this is a little side view of te box...cute huh! I love this because I can make another set using a different sentiment from this set and another box and line them up on a shelf...not only will they look pretty, but also convenient!

And this is what the cards look like! They are very simple...I lvoe one layer cards! But i think they pack a punch! They are not exactly one layer as they have a little trip of designer paper just above the scallop boarder, but the are still cute! One thing I love to do when I make a scalloped edge like that is add a snippet of designer paper to the inside, it adds such a nice touch!

To the topiary I stamped it in Wild Wasabi ink and colored the flower pot with my Chocolate Chip Marker and masked the edge and stamped...I colored the topiary part with an aqua painter and reinker adding different amounts of ink to vary the shade.

For the little flower pot I actually colored it in with river rock and my aqua painter fisrt and then went back and added color accents and highlights with my Tangerine Tango ink refill and aqua painter. Punched some holes, tied some ribbon and added glitter and this baby is done...after stamping the sentiment with Tangerine tango of course! (Tip: Stamp the sentiment BEFORE tied the knot...grrrr)

Thanks for stopping by! Julia has some awesome things planned for Saturday (World Card Making day!) so stop by the Little Paper Shop or the Little Paper Shop blog to see what's in store and to check out what the other design team members have made for todays release!

Thanks for Stoppin' by!

Happy Stampin'

Thank you So Much!

So my friend Wendy called me the other day and asked me if I wanted to make some scarpbook pages to have on display as samples at one our our area scrapbook stores...and you know I ain't no fool...LOL So of course I totally agreed! I went to her house yesterday to pick up my goodies and then she had a BUNCH of other things for me. I mean a BUCNH! one of the things in there was a super cute clear stamp set by http://www.sassafraslass.com/ and so I just had to use it to make a cute card...these stamps are called fliparoos and once you stamp your image you can actually flip the clear stamp over so that the image is now adhered to the block and you can stamp the shadow...how cool is that! I know I was flipping out...quietly because the kids were sleeping!!!
Anywho here is a card I made using the Splitcoast sketch challenge found here.
Supplies:
Stamps: So many Saying (SU!) Stunning Spirals (Sassafrs Lass)
Paper: Cool caribean, really rust, certainly celery, Gazebo Bias Plaid DP by Chatterbox, shimmery white CS
Inks: Basic Black, certainly celery, really rust
Accessories: Marvy scalliped punch, eyelets, CAD
All Supplies from SU! unless otherwise specified.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stampin'

Sissy is Hosting a bridal shower...

So I had a little work to do! I stared with the invites a few months ago and have now completed the set! She asked me to make her 25 shower favors, 30 thank you note cards and a scrapbook for the bride to be! So here are some pictures of the projects! You have already seen the favors from this Tuesdays entry, so we will skip right long to the thank you cards and the Scrapbook!

Here is a little look at the front of the album, I stamped the cover with SU! ink...normally I would use craft ink, but since I was just doing a small portion that really didn't matter if it got a little blurry, I decided to go ahead and use the classic! I then stamped the over lay with the encore silver and the date with the black stazon...I followed it up with a little heat set with my embossing gun...not too long about 20 seconds or so.
A little closer view so you can see what the detail looks like...neato huh!
This is the last page in the album...I somehow got rid of the picture of the center pages, but they look similar to this one, On this one is a spot for someone to write what the bride is getting so that she cn keep all important things together...and not loose her list for her thank you notes! The other pages have a spot for th bride's picture on one side and a spot for each guest to write a little something to the bride...I love this idea, something the bride will cherish forever!
And these are her thank you cards! Aren't they sweet! I didn't want anything too complicated...since I was making 30, they are all heat embossed and one layer... I really like how they turned out and I lvoe how the thank you kinda looks like the stem of the flower!

If you are interested in a gift package similar to this one please feel free to e-mail me here for any questions you might have!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stampin'

Banana Bird

OKay so this card didn't turn out quite like I had hoped, but I still like it...maybe I hoped it would look like this but missing a few things! Once I was done I thought...Hmmm I should of added some eyelets, or used my slot punch for the ribbon or maybe rock-and-rolled the bird in blue! Off well I think it turned out great and I love the paper underneath. This type of card is called a kickstand card...very cute, but VERY hard to get a good picture!

This card that I'm calling Banana Bird (for the sheer reason that it has a bird and uses Barely Banana cardstock!!!) was made for 2 challenges on Splitcoaststampers! The Color Challenge found here and the sketch challenge found here. These are a couple of the weekly challenges on splitcoaststampers and they are a ton o fun! Not to mention they get your creative juices flowing!

Although this card was fun to make, I think I might take a little more time and plan it out alittle better next time!

So what are the supplies you ask?

Stamps: Spring Solitude
ink: barely banana, wild wasabi, bayou blue, chocolate chip craft
paper: wild wasabi, barely banana, blue byaou, certainly celery DS paper
accessories: wasabi double stitched grosgrain ribbon, scallop punch, coluzzle cutting system, sponge.

Happy Stampin,
Silvia
