Blog Hop Order:
Lisa Novogrodski (you are here)

If you have been a follower of mine you know I like to do the "unexpected" and use products in a way that deviates from the traditional. I COULD create a layout, card, tag or mini album but this time around I thought I would do something a little quirky. I've taken Franks " The Archivist" collection and added some art doll fun on these ATC's.

These are super fun to create and trade with other artist friends.

I started off each ATC with a base sheet cut to size from The Archivist 6 x 6 Paper Pad. I then used The Archivist note cards as my next layer. Some pieces of the note cards were cut up and layered under the art dolls. I stamped each ATC with the Cartographer Clear Stamp.

I used The Archivist Brads and the Eiffel Tower from The Archivist Wood Icons on the front of my art doll.

I painted and embossed the Memory Hardware Villeneauve Antique Rings and added them randomly on this doll.  I splashed drops of Bloom Sprays in Vintage Metal Worn Leather and Tea Stain on all the ATC's.

On this ATC I used the Genoville Antique Screws and Vincennes Metal Pulls also painted and embossed for grungy look.

ATC's Design Team Project - Scraps of Darkness Online Store

Hello Friends!

Today I am sharing a design team project for the Scraps of Darkness Online Store. Did you know in addition to our monthly kit club you can shop for all your artful treasures in our store? You don't have to be a kit club member to do this- all are welcome!
You can find our kits here in the store.

AS IF that isn't enough we have a wonderful community on Facebook you can find here. I mention the community because we have an ATC swap hosted on a regular basis. I chose to do some ATC's for my design team project this month and these little beauties are for my partner Sarah Routledge. (Hope she likes them!)

I love art dolls. They are so fun to work with. I have a ton of files of all different dolls and I mix them up creating a full body out of all different parts. It is so fun! ( ooops I already said that!)

I used the beautiful Blue Fern Chelsea Vines found in our store here.
I painted them in Silks Stargazer found in the store here and then I embossed them in Encrusted Jewels Gold found here. In addition to embossing in the gold I sprinkled on Spruce Willis Prills and then embossed. I love the effect it created on the leaves.

I also embossed the Vintaj Arte Metal. I used them as glasses on this doll but they are a buckle of sorts. I used these on each doll and we still have some in the shop right here. You can see the effects on the leaves and the metal in my close up. I also machine stitched around all my ATC's.

I used the Blue Fern Chelsea Vines again and this time painted it in Silks Nutmeg found here. I also embossed the buckle again in the Gold Encrusted Jewels and Prills.  The buckle is also the Vintaj Arte Metal.

Can you see the texture on the buckle? So cool!

On this last ATC and I think this one is my favorite... I again used the Blue Fern and painted it in Silks Wisteria. We don't have any Silks left in this color but there is a beautiful Rasberry Wine that would work.

Once again I embossed the buckle. I also used Art Glitter in Violet found here to add sparkle to this ATC. To finish off my ATC's I did some random stamping in the background, splattering and hemp cord. These are items I acquired through past Scraps of Darkness/ Elegance kits!

Hope you guys like my ATC's and are inspired to make some of your own!
Thanks so much for stopping by... see you soon. :)

ATC's with BoBunny Wild Card

Hey Everyone! Today I am sharing several ATC's I created for BoBunny with the Wild Card collection! This is such a fun collection you can find it here. This collection is just perfect for small artistic pieces like this.

I created art dolls with my Queen, King and Jack. I cut the faces off the cards included in the Wild Card Noteworthy Pack and created art dolls with other peices of Noteworthy and pattern papers in Wild Card.

I used some art doll parts I had on hand for the Queens arms, skirt and legs.

Oh more legs here for the King! LOL
I have also mixed in some chipboard from Modern Miss.
BoBunny collections always work so well together!

Here we have the Jack. I used one of the Noteworthy journal cards and cut it apart to form the wings. Such fun!
Some touches of glittery ribbon and lets not forget my favorite BoBunny mist in "Bronze".

I'm exchanging ATC's with some of the gals over at Scraps of Darkness. We have a community on facebook and regular ATC swap. Hope my gals like these!
