Not Much Going On Around Here

Can you hear how quiet it is in this picture?
It's bedtime. Just us three downstairs.
It's quiet.

Two chins for the price of one.

Probably the best representation of how fast babies grow is the car seat.
He has almost outgrown that head thingy.

Remember his first time in the car seat? Awww.
This picture makes me nostalgic for the hospital baby. He's getting so big.

Avery took this picture of me doing laundry with my babe in sling.

This is a Valentine for Sammy's dad.
"Andy will love it so much".

Grandma Cook quilt!
Same colors as Evan's.

The kids put on a dance show. I watched from my perch on the couch.
I am probably feeding Andrew.

This is our favorite newborn outfit. So soft.

No matter where you hide, they will find you.
Actually in the mornings when Jimi goes to work, Avery and Evan have been so good at leaving me alone to sleep. Avery "takes care of Evan". One morning she proudly explained how she got them both a bowl and put a handful of cheetos in each, just like daddy does.
If it means I get to sleep in, Cheetos sounds like a wonderful breakfast to me.
I will often lock myself in my room to feed, just to get a few minutes alone. Plus, you've seen how Avery loves to get involved with that...

Getting out into fresh air. Aaahh...the bald eagles were soaring around us..

Middle of the night, sleeping baby.
Last night we had a rough couple of hours. I fed him at 9 and was so excited to go to bed early.
Little did I know he was going to be fussy for 4! hours. I didn't actually go to sleep until 1ish.
I cried for a little while, then wrapped him up super tight and roamed the dark house with him in my arms.
It's times like that you swear you will never sleep again.

I remember walking Sammy around my dark bedroom at night. Oh man...seems like it will last forever when it's happening. These little things are getting me excited for a baby. Isn't that opposite of what it should be doing?
