Piper usually plays a big role in deciding what to be for Halloween. She "loved" dressing up.
So this year the plan was to dress up as doggies, in her honor.
Avery wore the doggy costume for the ward party, but after that she played musical costumes.
This was my costume.
Evan refused to wear the cutest part of the doggy ensemble (the hat), so our costumes were kind of a bust this year. See how cute he would have been? Stinker.
Avery wore her hat, but decided to be Cinderella for trick or treating instead of a dog.
So, whatever. I'd rather have a happy little girl on Halloween than force her to be something that I really, really want her to be. Really really.
Halloween morning we had pumpkin pancakes that were really super good.
Then I got a hankering for an apple off a tree, so we drove to an orchard to find most of the apples were done for the season. The lady charged us a quarter for a bag of weird looking, kinda gross apples.
Jimi found a cup of chicken feed and went ahead and fed the chickens.
Evan was here.
Trick or treating was a bit of a bust. It was raining, so we just hit a handful of houses around our neighborhood then took shelter inside. The good news being - we didn't get a whole lot of candy.
Avery didn't want to get under the umbrella because "princesses love water", and every time I would hold the umbrella over Evan, he would stop walking and scream. So I got the umbrella all to myself! Thanks kids.
The next day for joy school, she wanted to be a ballerina.
This is silly, but I really missed Piper. She's just adds excitement to the whole shebang. Oh well, I guess not every Halloween can be totally awesome.

Piper had the best costumes. :)
Seriously, Halloween posts were a favorite of mine to see what getup would be forced on Piper.
I really miss Piper too. I also miss that little princess that has sparkly eyes and is so sweet. I also miss that little blond kid that melts my heart.
Nash and evan are definitely related. He had a pile of suckers like that too on the table. Love all the piper costumes!!
