Wishing you a very happy diwali dear friends.  Today is the first day of this 5 day celebration called as dhanteras or dhantrayodashi..today the goddess of wealth is worshiped.

The above is a lovely rangoli prepared by my 11 year old niece.  Isn't it pretty :)

Isn't this gorgeous!  Could not stop myself from sharing this.  It is a rangoli for the ongoing navratri festival , made by  one of my neighbors.

Back after a long time..its been a good break, came back to India, met family, friends..very happy :)

Made this rangoli along with my SIL on the D-day. By far this is the best rangoli I have ever made, since I am no rangoli expert..
