Brushstoke Flowers # 3....

Hi everyone, dropping in today to share my latest inspiration.

Wow can you believe it, we are in June already and the start of winter, not that we have had much rain yet, but it has been so cold.  I think we about  had  3°C overnight, brrr.

It is also the start of a new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs and for my card I have used some product by Tim Holtz and sizzix and was inspired by a card I saw by Juliana Michaels of 17turtles.com .

For my background I first embossed my cardstock using my 3d Texture Fade - Typewriter, then smooshed the background with some Distress Oxide in  Bundled Sage.  When completely dry I brushed over the raised areas of the card and edges with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

My flowers were cut three times in three different colours for each flower and after I chose the combination I wished to use, I inked around each piece with Walnut Stain and glued them together. To create some dimension I glued a second layer under the main flower and slightly off set it.  For the centre of the flowers I covered them with Dimensional Magic and sprinkled  them with 13 @rts Gold XS microspheres.

Supplies used:

Sizzix  by Tim Holtz Thinlits Die - Brushstroke Flowers # 3
Sizzix by Tim Holtz 3D texture fade - Typewriter
Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Cubes - Set # 3 Walnut Stain
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide - Bundled Sage
Stampers Anonymous by Tim Holtz - Simple Sayings CMS155
13 @rts - Gold XS Microspheres

Festive Bouquet - Happy New Year...

Hi everyone.

Dropping in today to share with you my latest creation using a new Tim Holtz die and some Mica Sprays, it is also the start of our new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs Challenge Blog.

I just love how everything came together so easily.  All the flower and leaf pieces have been cut from Watercolour Paper and then sprayed with Mica Sprays a couple of times to increase intensity of the colours.  Once dry I then used Distress Ink in Walnut Stain around the outside of some of the pieces.

When everything was totally dry,  I gave the flowers and leaves some shape to create exta dimension.

The circle frame and sentiment have been cut from silver foil cardstock and love how it makes everything pop.

Supplies used:

Sizzix Thinlits by  Tim Holtz - Festive Bouquet
Sizzix 3d Intertwine embossing folder by Tim Holtz - Basket Weave
Coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stains
from Christmas and Halloween Limited Release in
Peppermint Stick, Winterberry, Flickering Candle, Holly Branch, Tree Lot & Frosted Juniper
Distress Ink Pad  Kit 3  - Walnut Stain
Creative Expressions Die by Sue Wilson - Starry Happy New Year
Paper Roses Die - Stitched Rectangles
Paper Roses Die - Circle Frames Stitched

Thanks so much for looking and if you would like you can join us for this months challenge.

Hi everyone.

Just popping in today to share a couple of cards with you.  The first was a card created for the start of the current months challenge over at Bizzy Becs.

For my card I have die cut a mask from a Tim Holtz Thinlits Die - Bouquet and applied Heidi Swapp Clear Texture Paste through the mask.  Once dried I have placed a sheet of gold foil over the top and run it through my laminator.  Just love the effect.

My second card is one that I created after being inspired by a youtube video I recently watched by Jennifer Macquire on her Spotlight Stamping Technique.

The Stamp Set I used for this technique is from Darkroom Door and I have not thought of using it this way before, luckily it had three different tulip stamps within the set and has worked perfectly.

Darkroom Door Rubber Stamp - Happy Birthday
Lawn Fawn Die - Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables

Shaker Christmas Decoration...

Just popping in today to share with you my latest creation.  When I was making my mermaid card last month, I thought that  the circle frame die could make a cute shaker decoration to hang on a Christmas Tree or  it could be attached to a lavously wrapped gift.

So I had a play and am happy with the way it turned out.  It was a bit fiddly as you have to wait for each layer of glue to dry.

I cut two frames from white fun foam and two frames from white Bazzill cardstock and then I cut a circle from acetate.   The insert is a mixture of sequins, shaved glass and small gold and silver stars.

Supplies used:
Memory Box Die - Shaker Circle Framers
Memory Box DiePoinsettia Bloom Trio
Mini Prills - I'm Amazed
Tim Holtz Thinlit Dies - Holiday Words Script

Thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day.  Until next time happy crafting.

Jingle all the way....

Hi everyone

Well here we are 3 days to go, hope all your Christmas preparations are on track.

Yesterday my ktichen table and benches looked like a disaster zone, flour everywhere, packets of this and that and dishes piled high.  By the end of the day I have made the fruit mince for my pies, 2 types of fudge for Christmas gifting and homemade pizza for last nights dinner.  Round two starts today, nougat and Christmas Cakes.

Today I would like to share with you my Christmas Cards made for 2016.

These have been on a production line for a while now and am pleased to say they are finished and ready for posting, albeit a little bit late.

I have used the following items which are available via Bizzy Becs Online Store:

Blue Butterfly Digi Stamps - Little Santa Collection - Little Santa With Present
The Following via pre orders
Memory Box Die - Country Landscape
Memory Box Stencil - Tiny Snowflakes
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads - Weathered Wood & Tumbled Glass

These items are from my own stash:
Tim Holtz  Thinlits - Holiday Words Script
Tombow pens
Stickles - Diamond
Liquitex - Soft Modeling Paste
Aleenes - True Snow
Glossy Accents

The santa was printed out onto watercolour paper, coloured with Tombows and then fussy cut.  The background is also on watercolour paper with soft modelling paste through the stencil and the sky was using a smoosh technique, followed by stickles onto the snowflakes.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Until next time, Happy Crafting

Celebrate.....

Hi everyone, today I would like to share with you my card for this months  'Anything Goes' challenge over at Bizzy Becs.

For my card I chose a new stamp that I recently purchased from Bizzy Becs and have been waiting to colour it up.

It is my mums 80th birthday next week and as blue is her favourite colour this was a perfect image to colour for her card.  I am also fairly certain that she won't see this post so it will still be a surprise when she gets its.

I have used copic markers to colour the stamp staying with the BG tones for the flowers with a touch of  greys and YG's for the stems and centres and E08 for highlights on the stems and buds.

Stamp:  C.C. Designs - Himalayan Poppy
Memory Box Die - Shaker Rectangle Frames
(these are available as a pre-order from Bizzy Becs here)

Tim Holtz Alteration Thinlits - Celebration Words
Ribbon, Copic Markers
(from my own stash)

Thanks for popping in, have a wonderful day.

Happy Crafting
