A Bit of Gold and a Spotlight Stamping Technique....

Hi everyone.

Just popping in today to share a couple of cards with you.  The first was a card created for the start of the current months challenge over at Bizzy Becs.

For my card I have die cut a mask from a Tim Holtz Thinlits Die - Bouquet and applied Heidi Swapp Clear Texture Paste through the mask.  Once dried I have placed a sheet of gold foil over the top and run it through my laminator.  Just love the effect.

Supplies used:

Stampinbella Stamp -  Garden Girl Violet
Lawn Fawn Die - Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Sue Wilson Die - Mini Shadowed Sentiments - Just Because
Sizzix Die - Tim Holtz - Bouquet
Momento Ink - Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers
Heidi Swapp - Clear Texture Paste
Craft Gold Foils

My second card is one that I created after being inspired by a youtube video I recently watched by Jennifer Macquire on her Spotlight Stamping Technique.

The Stamp Set I used for this technique is from Darkroom Door and I have not thought of using it this way before, luckily it had three different tulip stamps within the set and has worked perfectly.

supplies used:

Darkroom Door Rubber Stamp - Full Bloom Vol 1
Darkroom Door Rubber Stamp - Happy Birthday
Lawn Fawn Die - Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Memento Ink - Rose Bud, Pistachio, Olive Grove and Tuxedo Black
Embossing Powder, Accents, Stickles and gloss pen from my own stash

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Pen Nibs....

Hi everyone.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs so come on over
and join us by sharing your card, layout etc.

For my card I have used some stamps from Darkroom Door and have
followed in a vintage style to create my Fathers Day card.

Supplies Used:
Darkroom Door  Eclectic Stamp - Pen Nibs
Darkroom Door  Background Stamp - Scratches
Taylored Expressions Die - Simple Strips Die
The Stamp Market -  Skinny Upper Alpha Die
Stampin Up Stamp - Plane and Simple (for Sentiment)
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad -  Vintage Photo

Versafine Pigment Ink - Onyx Black

To create some interest, I mounted the pen nibs onto black cardstock and then onto
a piece of cardboard, of which I removed the top layer after tearing around the edge of all pieces.

I then inked around the edges of the layers with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.

Have yourself a crafty day.

Take Time ....

Hi everyone, today I am sharing with you a card made for the new challenge that has started today over at Bizzy Becs.

I have been playing with my Darkroom Door stamps which have not been off the shelf for a while now, so thought it was time for them to be used again.

I used the Frame Stamp which I then coloured with Walnut Stain Distress Inks and then using the Coffee Stain Stamp and Black Soot stamped randomly onto the frame.  I still have some Tim Holtz  Rock Candy crackle paint which I then painted over the frame.  When the frame was dry I lightly inked the edges with Walnut Stain.

The Clock and the sentitment are from the Tick Tock Set.  The clock face was inked with Old Paper and also painted with crackle paint, then when dry I inked the surface with Walnut Stain.
After stamping the senitment I lightly inked the background with Antique Linen distress ink.

The Happy Birthday senitment is an old set from Stampin Up - Basic Phrases.

String, Feather, Hessian Ribbon are from my own stash.

These items are available to preorder via Bizzy Becs
Darkroom Door Stamps - Tick Tock, Coffee Stain and Frame Stamp
Lawn Fawn Die - Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables

"Remember if it is not listed just drop Bec an email and she will see if  can be ordered in for you."

Thanks for dropping by.

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Shaker Card - Best Wishes ....

Hi everyone.

Firstly I would like to wish all the Dads out there a very Happy Fathers Day for Sunday - hope you are all spoilt rotten.

Today I would like to share with you my card made for the new challenge over at Bizzy Becs for the September Challenge.

I am really loving Shaker Cards at the moment and could not resist the temptation of turning the new Darkroom Door stamp - Mason Jar into a shaker - what fun.

I filled it with different coloured sequins , small beads and multi coloured prills.  I picked out the blue  from the prills and added small gemstone beads to the bow to co-ordinate.

Darkroom Door Stamps:  Mason Jar, Daisy & Simple Sayings

Darkroom Door is available as a preorder via Bizzy Becs online store here: So don't forget to pop on over and check all the new releases.

Until next time Happy Crafting.

Thanks for dropping by.
