Pen Nibs....

Hi everyone.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs so come on over
and join us by sharing your card, layout etc.

For my card I have used some stamps from Darkroom Door and have
followed in a vintage style to create my Fathers Day card.

Supplies Used:
Darkroom Door  Eclectic Stamp - Pen Nibs
Darkroom Door  Background Stamp - Scratches
Taylored Expressions Die - Simple Strips Die
The Stamp Market -  Skinny Upper Alpha Die
Stampin Up Stamp - Plane and Simple (for Sentiment)
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad -  Vintage Photo

Versafine Pigment Ink - Onyx Black

To create some interest, I mounted the pen nibs onto black cardstock and then onto
a piece of cardboard, of which I removed the top layer after tearing around the edge of all pieces.

I then inked around the edges of the layers with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.

Thanks for looking

Have yourself a crafty day.

Take Time ....

Hi everyone, today I am sharing with you a card made for the new challenge that has started today over at Bizzy Becs.

I have been playing with my Darkroom Door stamps which have not been off the shelf for a while now, so thought it was time for them to be used again.

I used the Frame Stamp which I then coloured with Walnut Stain Distress Inks and then using the Coffee Stain Stamp and Black Soot stamped randomly onto the frame.  I still have some Tim Holtz  Rock Candy crackle paint which I then painted over the frame.  When the frame was dry I lightly inked the edges with Walnut Stain.

The Clock and the sentitment are from the Tick Tock Set.  The clock face was inked with Old Paper and also painted with crackle paint, then when dry I inked the surface with Walnut Stain.
After stamping the senitment I lightly inked the background with Antique Linen distress ink.

The Happy Birthday senitment is an old set from Stampin Up - Basic Phrases.

String, Feather, Hessian Ribbon are from my own stash.

These items are available to preorder via Bizzy Becs
Darkroom Door Stamps - Tick Tock, Coffee Stain and Frame Stamp
Lawn Fawn Die - Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables

"Remember if it is not listed just drop Bec an email and she will see if  can be ordered in for you."

Thanks for dropping by.

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Happy B-Day ............

Hi popping in today to share with you my latest card.

The image is a recently purchased stamp  by Wild Rose Studio - called Panda with Flowers, isn't she soo cute.

I have chosen to colour her with copics and have used my Gelly Roll pens in Gold, Teal, Blue and Red to accent the flower centres and hearts.  [Unfortunately this hasn't photographed that well.]

I have also used a My Favourite Things die - Blueprints 24 and a Die/Stamp combo from Taylored Expressions - Think Happy Thoughts.

These are available  as a pre-order from Bizzy Becs here.

The little bee is from Stampin Up and  is from an old set  - Picture  This.

Patterned Paper is from Lost and Found - Sunshine.

Have a wonderful day

Pocketful of Sunshine ...

Hi everyone

Well there have definitely been some very small pockets of sunshine over the last week here in Perth, alot less than I  would have liked.  After having beautiful sunny days leading up to last weekend, Autumn is definitely upon us with Winter just around the corner.  It has been freezing.

Yesterday I had a wonderful afternoon spent with a friend at the Perth Quilt and Craft Show at the Perth Convention Centre.  Unfortunately there was not a lot for paper crafters, but did manage to get a few bargains, none the less.

Today I would like to share with you a card made for a friends upcoming birthday.

I have used the following items which are available to pre-order via Bizzy Becs online store HERE.

Lawn Fawn Dies - Tag You're It
Taylored Expressions Stamp & Die Set - Pocketful of Sunshine
Taylored Expression Stamp & Die Set - Think Happy Thoughts

Also used from my own stash

Mini Prills by USA Artquest - Ice Queen
Spellbinders - Petite Circles
Stampin Up - Birthday stamp
Pink Ribbon
Copic Markers

There is still plenty of time left to join us for this months Anything Goes Challenge HERE.

Have a wonderful weekend

Sunflower Bouquet ....

Hi today I am sharing with you a card I made using a Shaker Frame.  These have been everywhere on my news feeds of late so wanted to have a go too.  Tried it onto an ATC last week and that went ok so decided to go bigger.

There are dies in the market now that take the guess work out of everything and  I have used a set from Memory Box called Shaker Rectangle Frames.  Firstly I attached acetate to the back of the frame then added onto the backing piece the elements that would make up the shaker - ie beads, sequins etc.   To adhere the frame to the base I die cut out of mounting foam another frame and stuck it to the back of the frame.

My image is from Taylored Expressions called Sunflower Bouquet and have had  it for a while and thought it would be a perfect accompaniment to the shaker box and perfect as a Mothers Day card and have coloured it with copic markers.  On the centres of the sunflowers there is copper coloured glitter but it is a bit hard to see.

The senitment is from my own stash and is a Stampin Up stamp.

There is a sale on a Bizzy Becs until the 8th of May, still a few days to go, so pop on over for all your crafty needs.

Also the start of our new challenge 'Anything Goes' so pop over to see the Design Team's inspiration for this month and join our challenge.

Until next time
