Noel .......

Hi everyone, 3 weeks to go ... can you believe it,  this year has flown.

Today I would like to share with you my very first Christmas card for this year.  Yes I am a bit behind but I hope to add this one over the next week or so.

For my card I have used a gorgeous stamp from Darkroom Door - Brushed Christmas Vol 2, it is the largest ornament in the set and I thought it would make a great Christmas Tree, so upside down it went.  Have to say I am very happy with the way it turned out.

The snowflake embellishment is a die from Memory Box - Shimmering Snowflakes.

Darkroom Door and Memory Box are available as a preorder by Bizzy Becs online store, together with lots of other goodies.  Supersavers on back on until 5th January 2016 and there are some gorgeous things is Bizzy Becs Choice.

Today is also the start of our new Anything Goes Challenge for December, so get crafty and come on over and join us.

Thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day.

Best Wishes ...

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we are having in Perth today, just gorgeous.

It has been a crazy busy week for us this week, our son and partner are moving back in today  until their new place becomes available.  So we have been moving furniture out to make room,  cleaning and scrubbing and clearing shed space to store furniture...amazing how you spread out when they move out.  But it is all done now so can now relax.

I managed to sneak a bit of time to make a card,  so today I would like to share it with you.

I have used the following:

Stamp set:  Full Bloom Vol 1 - Darkroom Door
Distress Ink Pads: Fired Brick, Barn Door, Shabby Shutters & Forest Moss
Memory Box Stencil: Mesh
Gesso - Claudine Hellmuth Studio Gesso

These are all available as a preorder via Bizzy Becs Online Store Here:

The ribbon, flower, cardstock and bling are from my own stash.

Until next time, Happy crafting.

Thankyou for popping by.

Happy Birthday

*   Not sure what happened but this didn't post when it should have done, whoopsie!!  *

Hi everyone, well the holidays for me are coming to an end sadly and it is back to school in a week, I have very much enjoyed not having to rush around in the morning and instead have had very relaxing mornings and enjoyed the time  cooking and catching up with family and friends.

Over the holidays we have been working around the house catching up with unfinished projects and as I type this am slowly getting the feeling back in my right hand.  Spent most of a day filling in holes and gaps in the kitchen.  Oh my,  talk about dead hand can hardly use it, and extremely sore but on the bright side there are no more gaps...

Today I would like to share with you a card I made using Darkroom Door Stamp - Full bloom V1, Distress Ink Pads in Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive.  These are all available to pre order together with lots of new goodies at Bizzy Becs online store.

Until next time, happy crafting.

Best Wishes

Wow can you believe it, there are only 7 weeks until Christmas!  How fast has this year flown, just crazy.

It is also the start of a new challenge at Bizzy Becs Store Blog and our challenge this month is 'Anything Goes'.

I have been playing with one of my new Darkroom Door stamps, Robin isn't it devine, so very cute.  I stamped it onto some watercolour paper and coloured it with Distress Ink Pads in Weathered Wood and added a touch of  Scattered Straw for the beak.

I also used Spellbinder Petite Circles and a Lawn Fawn die - Tag You're It.  This was teamed up with some gorgeous Green Tara Roses in various sizes.  The sentiment best wishes is a new Tim Holtz stamp Simple Sayings and is from my own stash.

Bizzy Becs online store has a great selection of  Stamps, Distress Ink Pads, Dies, Flowers and other goodies  for all your crafting needs, so pop on over and check it out. MFT dies have just been added to the store too!

Words that Inspire

Hi, well can you believe how many sleeps are left until Christmas.  This year has just flown by, so so scary.

Recently I joined on online group that use inspiring quotes as Art Journal Prompts and it is so much fun.  Today I would like to share with you the first of my journal pages inspired by a quote by Maya Angelou ~ Be a Rainbow in someone else's Cloud!

The background is a paper napkin with skeleton leaves which I attached to my journal with gel medium.  I then gessoed over the napkin to tone down the leaves onto which I sprayed Dylusions Ink Sprays and spritzed them heavily with water so that the coloured pooled and ran.

The colours used are Bubblegum Pink, Lemon Zest, Fresh Lime, Squeezed Orange, Vibrant Turquoise,  London Blue and White Linen.

As I know that Dylusions Inks will always move when wet I sealed the area that was to be  stamped with Schmincke Universal  Fixative and allowed it to dray thoroughly  before applying the paint.

The image is a Darkroom Door Line Art Stamp called  "Leafy Lady" which I stamped onto the page, hand drew shoulders and coloured the face and shoulders  with Ceramcoat acrylic paints, Molotow markers and Prisma colour pencils.

A reminder that there is still still time to join us for this months "Anything Goes" challenge at Bizzy Becs and that the Coupon Sale has been extended to the 31st October so hop on over and check out the recently added goodies at the store.

Thanks for dropping by, have a fabulous crafty week.

Warm Wishes

Hi welcome back to another month and the start of another challenge at Bizzy Becs.

Today I would like to share with you my card for this month.

Quite by accident I was playing with my Liquid Pearls ( Gold Pearl and Onyx Pearl) and was trying to put dots around the flowers and it looked well just awful.  So in an attempt to remedy this I got out the old credit card and scrapped the pearls around the background and tahdah ;  success, love how it turned out.

The stamp set I used is from Darkroom Door and is called Bold Blossoms and together with lots of others is available via Bizzy Becs online store.  Because I had already embossed the flowers with white embossing powder it acted as a resist and just by wiping with a baby wipe I was able to remove the liquid pearls from the flowers.

I inked around the edge of the card with Distress Inks in Pumice Stone and Black Soot  cut a little tag and using the sentiment from the set,  embossed it with black embossing powder and a couple of rows of machine stitching around the outside, done.

Here is a little close up view of the finished embossing and background.

Thanks for popping in, please check out the rest of the DT gals inspiration here and join us for this months anything goes challenge.

Just for You

Yeah!  Spring is here and I just love spring, it is my most favourite season of all, flowers blooming, birds busy making nests and lots of butterflies and dragonflies flitting around the garden.

September is also the start of a new "Anything Goes" challenge at Bizzy Becs and the card I made features a Darkroom Door stamp "Butterfly" which I have coloured with Distress Stains (Rusty Hinge, Scattered Straw, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers, Peeled Paint and Broken China).  I have also used Darkroom Doors Texture Stamp "French Script"  for behind the Butterfly and Garden Greetings for the sentiment.  I also used the Distress Stains to dye the silk ribbon.  It is interesting to note that even through I used the same colours as I coloured the Butterfly with,  when combined onto the ribbon it has gone a bit more green that I had hoped - note to self a bit more blue next time.

There is another fabulous prize up for grabs this month for our lucky winner a Die-Namites Die - kindly donated by Bizzy Becs online store, so please join us for this months challenge, we love seeing your creations.  Before you do check out the Design Teams creations and welcome our new DT member Mandy.

Thanks for dropping by and happy crafting.
