Firetruck 3rd Birthday Party

Stop, drop and roll! This clever FIRETRUCK 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Alison M. English of The English Pea Studio. I absolutely love it.

Here is what Alison had to say about the party-- “My little guy decided on a fire truck theme for his 3rd birthday party. Our local fire department has a gorgeous, restored vintage fire truck that graces the front lawn of one of their firehouses. I created the fire truck and fire hydrant from photographs that I took at that scene.

I wanted to create a modern twist using the chevron pattern throughout the décor. I also used small black polka dots on a white background mimicking the dots on a Dalmatian.

In keeping with a rustic, vintage theme I used burlap, old wood crates, mason jars, and old glass jars as containers. I found several lovely accessories – a hat, truck and fire hydrant you see pictured.
I carried the black and white polka dots through the food in offering chocolate covered marshmallow pops, white chocolate covered oreos, and white chocolate dipped pretzel rods. The cake was adorned with a Dalmatian and a red fire hydrant made specific for the event.

For an educational twist I used the words “stop, drop, and roll” on some of the elements and on the party favor bags – a fun way to remember a key instruction in fire safety.

We began the party with a tour of a local firehouse. The children enjoyed looking at the truck, learning about each vehicle, equipment, and the fireman’s attire and living quarters. Our tour guide was informative and fun and each child left the fire house with a hat and coloring book.
We headed back to my home for the rest of the festivities where we ate and opened gifts. In addition to the hats and coloring books each child left with a favor bag – designed to echo the same patterns used in the décor. The bags were filled with “fireman’s rope” (red twizzlers), “drops” (red cherry sours), and “rolls” (tootsie rolls).

The fire tour was a big hit with all the children and a fun and informative activity that was offered free to the public by our local fire department.
Fun was had by all!”

Fire Truck Birthday Party!

Today's winning party feature goes to this super adorable FIRE TRUCK 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Spotted Ink! So cute. Everything is displayed beautifully. And the photos are fantastic {taken by Chard Photography}!

Tiffany created a VIP Picnic for the party. All the food was designed to be easily put into a picnic basket. Even the birthday cake was packaged in cute mason jars with custom labels and custom "caution tape" ribbon. On the grass in front of the tents, she had a picnic blanket, picnic basket and personalized signs for each child so they would have a place to sit. In the basket, she created a card that said "It's a VIP picnic and we are so glad you've joined our bunch. Grab your basket and fill with with goodies for your lunch. And after you've had your cake, don't forget the basket and blanket, they are yours to take!" LOVE it.

Tiffany also hired a real, retired fire truck and two firemen that came to the party and gave the kids rides around the neighborhood! How fun!!
