Lalaloopsy Doll + Sewing Birthday Party

This adorable LALALOOPSY DOLL + SEWING BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Beth Kruse of Beth Kruse Custom Creations. I love her take on a party theme centered around the ever popular, Lalaloopsy doll!

Beth said-- "My daughter really likes the Lalaloopsy dolls and I loved incorporating so many of the handmade details they have into a party.

For the invite, I drew inspiration from the outfit my daughter’s doll Misty Misterious always wears.

I saw a cake on Pinterest that had a giant fondant Lalaloopsy doll on top. That's a little outside of my decorating comfort zone, so I thought I could recreate the bottom half and add my own twist on top. {to see the original check out my pinterest board}. It's not perfect, but it's really important to me to make my own cakes.

For the cookie suckers, I used this recipe but followed these directions.

For the drink cup labels, there were 2 versions that will be available in my shop- this pink and then one with the multi colored scallop polka dot background from the printed banner.

The favors included: a button barrette, Lalaloopsy pencil toppers {found at target}, and a bag of color coordinating candie."

Buttons & Bows 5th Birthday Party

Today's party feature goes to this darling BUTTONS AND BOWS 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Dawn Bennett of Ruby May Designs. Oh my heart, I think I've seen a little bit of heaven. I absolutely adore this party. So delicate. Love the soft pastel colors. Love the shabby chic hutch. Love the button cake. Love the bow cookies. Love the sweet candy. Love. It. All.
This party was for Dawn's little girl, Ruby. It was her 5th birthday party. Dawn made the cake, cupcakes and bunting...and also made the welcome board and name letters. The beautiful bow cookies were ordered from a local baker, Nikki Cougle. The cute personalized favor bags were ordered from PapernookPhotography by Sharkey Photography.

Thank you for your submission, Dawn! Such an adorable party. I'm sure Ruby and her little friends will never forget it. Congratulations on being chosen as today's party feature!

All the adorable button treats were created by Roni Sugar Creations. Everything else was made by the talented Chelsea {Crow Candy Photography}. Thanks for your submission, Chelsea! You did such a wonderful job. Congratulations on being today's winning party feature!
