Naked Spaces....

I've been working through my bag of yarn-y scraps of late, hooking away at some super cute crochet doily's to adorn some naked spaces in my home...

The pattern I'm following is a freebie by the amazingly talented team at 'Purlbee'... I'm using a mixture of 5ply cottons, straight from my scrap bag, and a 3.5mm hook... These are perfect 'mindless' crochet projects which take no time at all to complete...

This past week we welcomed a new member into our family, meet Sally....

She's made herself right at home and is spoilt rotten by each and everyone of us,

And it's Term 2 already - wow!!!! - Connie's school desk is a wool bale today - not a traditional schoolroom I guess but a place to learn all the same, right??

So while Connie works away on her Maths, Millie helps me take a few more yarn-y pictures for my Shop.... Mmmmm, ravelry red...

And later on today we might just get a chance to spend some time with these cuties too...

that day is TODAY....

The birthday celebrations came a week early here at 'Darling Downs' for our biggest girl of 6 - Connie, with the arrival of 3 miniature ponies late yesterday afternoon!!!

The excitement was bursting from each and every seam as my little girls savoured the joy of riding their very own ponies for the very first time....

I couldn't help but radiate from the side line as I watched my girls engulf themselves in the wonder of their new horses.....

I have a really good feeling about this new adventure we're starting on as a family of the 'horse-y' kind - I'm not sure why, but deep down in that place that always seems to be right, something keeps telling me that 'this is good, really good'!!!!!

It has been a good 6 years since Brad (DH) and I have had a horse but we always knew that one day they would enter our lives again, especially once we started a family - I guess that day is today...

Spring Seed Swap?

I had big plans of sharing a late Winter garden update with you all this post, full of beautiful pictures of Wintry produce such as peas (...
