Hellebores

Hello Everyone!  Today I have a tutorial up on the CopicMarker Blog using one of the latest Digi Images by Power Poppy called Hellebores.  The focus of the tutorial is the Feather Blending Technique and colouring this fabby image!  You'll find all the Copic Colours listed on the CopicMarker Blog, so pop over there for all the details!

I've used a base of Wisteria Wonder card and layered with Maja Designs DP.  I've printed the Hellebores Digi image onto X-press It Blending Card and then coloured it with Copics (find those details HERE).  I've cut this out with Labels 8 dies and then stamped the sentiment from Short Stacks in Versafine black ink.  I've matted the image with Wisteria Wonder cut with Decorative Labels 8 and attached to the front of the card.  To finish I've added a few sequins for a little sparkle!  :)

Stamps - Hellebores, Short Stacks (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Wisteria Wonder, Maja Designs DP
Ink - Printer, Versafine Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8 Dies, Sequins

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

JustRite Anniversary Vines

Hello Everyone! It's time for this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splicoaststampers and the website takes us to the China Online Museum.  There is a lot to choose from, but I was drawn to 'A Spring Breeze' - I guess because I like the pinks, greens and creams of the floral painting - what can I say, I like this colour combo!  :)  I had to go with a colour palette inspiration because I really don't have much in the way of Chinese themed stamps and such!  I've also been playing with these gorgeous new Open Leaf Vine dies....*swoon*.... I love how pretty and lacy they are!!

I've used a base of green bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla (pierced around the edge) and topped with some FabScraps Chic Pink DP.  Next I've die cut some Vanilla card using Fleur De Elegance die.  In the middle of the die cut I've randomly stamped some roses using Sweet Flowers and Vines in Angel Pink ink.  Next I've die cut four Open Leaf Vines in two shades of green card - these are great because they mirror image each other - and attached them as shown.  I've added several Prima flowers to accent the vines in pinks and ivory.  I've stamped the sentiment from Sweet Flowers and Vines in Rose Bud onto Vanilla cut, cut into a notched tag and attached under the flowers.  The corners looked a little bare, so I've stamped the heart element from Sweet Flowers and Vines in Rose Bud ink on each corner.  Finally I've accented with Silver Lining Crystal Drops by adding drops to each corner as well as the centers of two of the flowers.  I love the Crystal Drops, you can make them as big or as small and you need and give a lovely pearl effect!  *Happy Sigh*

Stamps - Sweet Flowers and Vines (JustRite)
Paper - Green Card (two shades), Very Vanilla, FabScraps Pink Chic
Ink - Memento Rose Bud, Angel Pink
Accessories - JustRite Open Leaf Vine Dies, Spellbinders Fleur De Elegance, Prima Flowers, Tonic Silver Crystal Drops, Paper Piercer

It's been very hot and stormy here in tropical Queensland since it is the middle of Summer, but I know that there has been massive Winter storms and huge amounts of snow in other parts of the world.  I hope whatever part of the world you live in that you are safe from the wild weather that's been happening of late!  Thanks for taking the time to pop by and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

JustRite Don't Forget Bouquet

Hello Everyone!  Today I was able to sit down in my craftroom and have a bit of a play with a couple of new toys from JustRite Papercraft!  Sigh - don't you just *love* new toys!!  :)  The stamp set I've used is called Multi Step Don't Forget Bouquet - it has LOTS of mix and match sentiments for all sorts of occasions and I know most people would make the hearts pink or red......but I decided to go with blue!  :)

I've used a base of kraft and layered with Pool Party card cut with Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor.  Next I've cut a piece of white and kraft chomping out the corners with a corner punch.  To one side of the kraft piece I've stamped the large heart bouquet image from Multi Step Don't Forget Bouquet in white ink and then added colour with the multi step pieces in blues and greens.  I've then taken the small heart image in the set and stamped those in green and then I found that adorable birdie and stamped it in Rich Cocoa.  It was at this point that I told myself to put the stamp set down because there are so many bits to play with it's a bit hard to stop!!  I've then added a little extra colour using white and green watercolour pencils.  Around these panels I've attached a sheer ribbon and a blue/green grosgrain ribbon.  I've stamped the sentiment (actually two different stamps since you mix and match the sentiments in the set) in Rich Cocoa across the bottom.

THEN I had a play with a new product that arrived in my mailbox - it's called Tonic Studios Nuvo Collection Crystal Drops.......OH MY, how awesome are THESE!!  A little squeeze (you may need to put a pin in the top for the first use) and you can create three dimensional pearly beads in whatever size you desire!  Be still my beating heart!!  There are many colours to choose from however the one that matched my project perfectly is called Neptune and I've added several drops to my project to give it that finishing touch!

Now thankfully I have a lovely little selection of these Crystal Drops, so be prepared to see A LOT more of these!!!  :)

Stamps - Multi Step Don't Forget Bouquet (JustRite)
Paper - Kraft, White, Pool Party
Ink - Hero Arts Unicorn, Memento Bamboo Leaves, Teal Zeal, Close to My Heart Crystal Blue
Accessories - Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal Drops (Neptune), Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor, Sheer and Grosgrain Ribbon, Bruynzeel Aquarel Pencils, Corner Punch

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Tall and Rosy

Hello Everyone!  It's Australia Day here and most people go to the beach, have a BBQ, spend time with friends, play a little backyard cricket.......what did I do.....make a card of course!  LOL!!  Actually I did do some other things and enjoy our beautiful Summer weather, but I finished the day with a card using the brand new Power Poppy digi called Everything's Rosy.  I've also decided to make this a long card because this month's Power and Spark Challenge is to make a tall card and use a new technique or product!  I'm a little late getting around to making the challenge card, but you still have time to play along - but only until January 31st at 8pm!!!  By playing along you could WIN a stamp set of your choice from Power Poppy!!!  Which set do you have on your wish list????

I've used a base of Wisteria Wonder, layered with white punched both ends with a lattice border punch and topped with Maja Designs DP.  Down one side I've attached white and yellow ribbons.

I've printed the image and sentiment from Everything's Rosy onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (V20, V22, V25, V28, C3, C5, Y21, Y26, Y28, BG70, BG73, BG75, E50, E51, E53, G40, G43, G46, E21).  It's been cut with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with more Wisteria Wonder cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and then popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon.

Stamps - Everything's Rosy (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Wisteria Wonder, White, Maja Designs DP
Ink - Printer
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence, White and Yellow Ribbons, Bow Easy, MS Lattice Border Punch, X-press It Foam Tape

JustRite Lovely Lillies.....and Dies

Hello Everyone!  I've been playing with the new Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles dies again (I did warn you to be prepared to see these again LOL!) and this time have used a colour palette of orange and green, which I admit I not my 'go to' colours, but I kinda like how it turned out!

This time, I've used a base of Old Olive and layered with vanilla card that I've embossed with the largest Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles Die!  I thought this would make a really cool embossed border, so it's not cut - I really like the result!  With the extra length, I've used a border punch called Iron Gate.  Next I've taken a piece of orange card and cut it with the smaller rectangle die from Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles and wrapped a piece of vanilla ribbon around it.  I've taken more vanilla card and cut it with the larger of the two banner dies from Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles.  (Can you tell I'm a little addicted to this die set yet??????)  I've then used JustRite Lillies and Butterflies, which is a multi-step stamp set, to create the floral flourish on the banner die cut which fit perfectly!  I've then stamped the sentiment from Sweet Flowers and Vines and cut it with this little notched tag die......yep you guessed it, ALSO from Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles Dies!  To finished I've added a little bling to the bottom corner and the flower centres.....because you can never have enough bling!!  :)

Stamps - Lillies and Butterflies, Sweet Flowers and Vines (JustRite)
Paper - Old Olive, Orange, Very Vanilla
Ink - Memento Bamboo Leaves, Tangelo
Accessories - JustRite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles, MS Iron Gate Border Punch, Very Vanilla Ribbon, Clear Rhinestones

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!!

A Rose to Start the Year!

Hellooooooo!!!!  I know it's been a long time since my last post - each year I have two weeks holiday time at Christmas and I down tools and spend the time celebrating Christmas and spending time with family and escape reality for a while. Sadly for me, that time is now over and I'm back at work and getting back into the swing of things again.......even if my kids are still on Summer Holidays and I have to go to work!!  SIGH!

What better way to jump back into my creative space than to colour up this pretty rose by Power Poppy!  Actually, I've done a little 'pruning' on this one - it's actually a digi stamp called La Vie en Rose and if you look at the original, I've erased the notepaper and quite a few leaves and buds to be left with a beautiful single stem rose!  I've also created this for the Teapot Tuesday which the theme is - Make a card with the theme of taking life one day at a time.  I think we all need to stop and smell the roses!!  :)

I've used Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles to create the base cutting layers of white (the back part you can't see), pink and cream.  Then the smaller one to cut the Secret Garden DP.  Around this I've attached some beautiful pink trim.  Next I've used the next die in the set to cut a piece of cream and stamped the sentiment from Dynamic Duos Peonies and Tulips in Versafine Black.  The rose from La Vie en Rose (once I've edited it a bit in photoshop) has been printed on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV00, RV52, RV55, RV66, G20, G21, G24, G28, E21, C3, C5).  I've fussy cut this out and popped it up on X-press It High Tack Foam Tape and then popped the whole panel up on foam tape as well.

Stamps - La Vie en Rose,  Dynamic Duos Peonies and Tulips (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Cream, Pink, White, Kaisercraft Secret Garden DP
Ink - Printer, Versafine Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles, Pink Trim, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape

That's all from me today, hope you've all had a wonderful festive season and ready to get inky and inspired to stamp!
