Embossed Poinsettias

Hello! I decided it's time to get working on some Christmas cards! I recently picked up this Taylored Expressions embossing folder at my local stamp store and have been itching to play with it. Thought this weeks CAS(E) sketch would do well showcasing it?! Although as always I probably added a layer to many for CAS? I used a gold embossed poinsettia from the Gina K year of flowers set and added some gold nailheads. The sentiment is  Paper Smooches die. The challenges I'm entering are listed below. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Winter's Butterfly

Hello! Today I have my attempt at a all white card/challenge! I feel like it's missing something but couldn't decide what so left it be. I just used a Darice embossing folder and added 2 different large snowflake dies that I had. I covered the snowflakes with stickles and added some pearls. The sentiment is from an older Gina K set. Thanks for looking and challenges I'm entering are listed below. Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for the new Tuesday Morning Sketch.

Poinsettia Beauty

Hello! I'm on a roll this is my second post for the day! My card uses the Poinsettia from the Gina K Year of Flowers set and the sentiment is from a Sweet 'n Sassy set. These are so much fun to color! I added a few sprigs of green using my MS Branch punch an used some gold pearls to finish it off. Think this may be the first time I've used some Chevron striped paper? I really like how I looks on this card! Thanks for looking, Challenges are listed below.

Noel

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means its time for another great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! We are sponsored this week by our very own Debbie with a Christmas stamp set from Graphic 45 called Twas the Night Before Christmas. Thanks Debbie!

I have lots of texture going on with my card this week! I added a close up picture to show all the detail. The poinsettia is from Gina K's Year of Flowers. It is embossed in gold on pink card stock an then sponged with some Tim Holtz Spun Sugar ink. I added some gold pearls to the center to finish it off. Layered it on top of some burlap, pink twine and some MS branch punches. The Noel sentiment is a wooden tag that I had found last year at Target in the $1 spot. I Love how this one turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by.

    Happy Valentine's Day

Hello! I tried a new fun technique today! The technique challenge today over on SCS was Heat Embossing on Dry Embossing. I ran my Versamark pad over the raised Dry Embossing and then added my clear Embossing Powder. I couldn't get a good picture of it but the raised embossing is really shiny. Next time I might get brave and try colored embossing powder!! I didn't color my whole image I wanted my flowers to stand out. I thought the heart shaped flower petals would make a perfect Valentine's card for a friend! I added some pearls to the flower centers. List of supplies and challenges used is below. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week! I think we might be having some nasty weather headed our way.

    Winter's Butterfly

Hello! Today I have a pretty CAS card for you. The only stamping is the sentiment which is heat embossed. I inked up my CB folder with some Pink Pirouette ink before embossing, that made the snowflakes really pop! I added a big snowflake diecut and popped it up. I finished it off with lots of pretty pink pearls! Pretty quick and easy. My photo doesn't do the card justice, much prettier in person! Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it and enjoy reading all of your comments.

    Elegant Christmas

Hello! I have another Christmas card to share with you today, I LOVE how this one turned out!! I cut out my poinsettia and added some greens and popped it up with foam tape. I added pearls to the center and added some sparkle with my Sakura Stardust clear glitter pen. I never seem to be able to get the sparkle to show in my pictures though. I placed it on top of a strip of metallic silver CS that was covered with Lace and ribbon. I added more silver pearls to the centers of the diamonds on my CB'd background. Guess that about covers it, thanks for stopping by and have a Wonderful New Year!!

Designs stamps from the upcoming release and will be invited to join the Center Stage to create projects for the preview party, release party and blog hops this month!

I Love Fall! One of my favorite memories is of Acorns! My boys Loved playing with Acorns when they were little. They'd haul them around in the their Little Tikes dump trucks and Tractor Trailer. Not to count the numerous ones I'd find in the wash machine that they had left in their pockets! They are teenagers now and I'll still find an occasional one in the laundry, leftover from the acorn "wars" they have with their Dad! Boys will be Boys!! Thanks for walking down memory lane with me!
