Textures of Fall

 

Hello Fall nice to see you! It's finally feeling like fall here in South Central PA. Summer didn't want to leave, not that I minded a whole lot except it was so humid! Running the AC in October is very unusual for us. Now we have our first frost warning for the AM. Anyway unto my card. I just had to make another card with this adorable scarecrow from DRS Designs. This time I cut him out and added some burlap. I just LOVE the colors on this one! Used the plaid paper for my inspiration. That's it for today! Scarecrow Fun

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's new sketch time over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week we are sponsored by DRS Designs. I've used the Large Scarecrow and Happy Fall Y'All Greeting on my card. When I saw this adorable scarecrow I knew I needed to use some plaid paper. Went to my favorite for that Lawn Fawn, LOVE their plaids! After finding the paper I wanted I than found copics to match and colored my image. Which is a reverse for me as I usually color a pile of images than find papers later when I make it into a card. I added some strips of burlap and called it done. Love the colors on this one a lot . Colors of Fall

Hello! Today's card uses a stamp I've had for YEARS and never used. Unfortunately I have way to many of those. It's an un mounted stamp I think I got from DRS Designs at a stamp show, although I can't find it on their website? Maybe it's retired or my memory is failing me?!! I colored it with my pencils and found this YNS sketch to use with it. Still not sure about rounded corners but figured it's time to change it up a bit and just went with it. Sorta misfigured my paper size and had to move my enamel dots off to the side. Just LOVE making fall cards, think it's the warm color tones I like so much?! Fall Greetings

Hello! Had a bit of time to play today and here is one of cards I made. It uses a DRS Designs stamp that I cut apart after coloring to make it work for the sketch. Here is a card I made a few years ago with the same stamp left the way it was made. The paper is from a DCVW 6x6 pad called The Harvest House Stack. Love the non traditional colors in this pad. I had colored my image first and was lucky to find the perfect paper to go with it. I will say this picture doesn't do this card justice.....it looks much better in person! I have used Polka Dot Flower Trio and One Line Happy Thoughts Greeting on my card. I heat embossed my image and colored it with my copics. I added some stickles to the butterfly. Dusted off my corner punch, man its be ages since I used that! Added a few gems to finish it off. Love the colors on this one, kinda monochromatic??
