Unique Investment

Posted by abie on 9:56 AM in
One of my goals for the New Year is to control my expenses and start saving money for the rainy days. My husband and I have no control of our cash flow last year and we just spend and shop for things even if we don’t have a need for it. So for this year, we decided to look for ways on investing our money instead of just spending it to none sense things.

I have been searching the net for the best investment for our money until I stumble upon the site of Monex Deposit Company. I have learned from their site that best investment would be buying gold. Gold is a unique investment and they say that it is the best form of money since it is universally accepted and can be easily bought and sold and they are safe from inflation and deflation.

I’m already convinced that this is the best way to invest our money. I just have to call a Monex Account Representative so I can learn more information on how to invest on gold bullion.

Sick too

Posted by abie on 9:01 AM in
Bela have cough and colds since Friday, and now I’m sick too. I was not feeling well when we arrived home yesterday from Bela’s class at Little Gym and I had a slight fever late in the evening. I’m still not feeling well today but I can’t take a day off from work since one of my colleague is in vacation leave until Wednesday. I still feel a little drowsy and I feel I have no energy left. I will try to gauge myself if I can last the whole day. If not, I might just ask for my boss permission if I can take the day off.

Send Off & Birthday Celebration

Posted by abie on 9:00 AM in ,
Last night, I met up again with my High School friends for our send off party for Anna and Edhi and my birthday celebration. Our initial plan was to meet at Issa’s place at 7PM, have a small baby shower program for Issa, then proceed to our house for dinner (we decided to have our dinner at our house so Issa who is 8 months pregnant now won’t get tired in entertaining us). As usual majority of our friends are late. By 8:30 Pm, we’re all very hungry already and so we decided that we give our gifts for Issa and then head to our house so we can all eat and those who are late can just go straight to our house.

We we’re able to convince Issa and her husband to go with us even just for dinner so they can join our get together. By 10 PM, all my friends, together with their husband and kids, are at our house already. After dinner, we had a drinking session and Weng (Janelle’s husband) is our bar tender). Of course, our house was super noisy since this is the only time that almost all of us are present for a get together so we all have our own stories to tell. We didn’t notice the time passed and it’s already 2 Am when we decided to call it a night (or morning?).

It was really fun having seen all my High School friends once again. Hope we can do this every month. Calling Lala, you promised to organize the monthly get together of our barkada.

Below are some pictures.

Online Degrees

Posted by abie on 8:34 AM in
It’s my performance appraisal month again this January. I was just reviewing my performance appraisal report for last year and one of my long term career aspiration is to finish my graduate degree program and in the long run, to obtained a PhD degree. This has been part of my long-term career aspiration for two years now but up to now; I still have not accomplished it. I work full time and being a working mom also; it’s really difficult for me to study full time for my graduate degree.

But I still want to finish my graduate degree and PhD degree and so I was really glad to find out that Capella University is offering online degrees so I can pursue my graduate degree while I’m working and performing my duties as a mother. Capella is a reputable online university and they are the only fully online university that has state-approved programs in leadership and reading and literacy. They currently have 19,900 students from all 50 states and 56 countries so I can really be sure that they are the best online university for me. I’m really thankful that I found Capella University so I can now finish my graduate degree and hopefully my PhD degree as well without leaving my other responsibility behind.

Thanks for treasuring my blog Peachy. I really found a true friend in you. Sabi nga ni Howell parang ang tagal na daw nating magkaibigan. Here’s to more years of friendship.

Let me share this to the ff:

1. Jane whose blog I constantly visit as I love reading her stories of their family adventure and specially stories about her dear Sophie.

2. Ems – from officemate to true friends. Thanks to YM and our blog, we still remain in contact with each other.

3. Kitts – we never loose contact and we frequent each other’s blog since our w@w days and up to now that we are both happily married and have a family of our own.
