Birthday Party Entertainment

Posted by abie on 6:38 AM in
We know that we needed entertainment for the party of my mom and dad so it will not be quiet and boring and of course, the only answer to that is a videoke machine.

We would have wanted to get a live band complete with their electric guitar, fender blues jr, bass guitar and more but we are working on a limited budget and there is not much space in our garage for this.

My aunt was the one who looked for a supplier where we can rent a videoke machine and she instantly found one just in our neighborhood. We got the machine for only P500 for 24 hours of use so we were using the machine up to the next day. LOL.

The videoke machine was a huge hit as it was never vacant because there will always be someone who will be lining up their song on queue. It did provide a great entertainment and it surely did make the party bvery lively and fun.

Get Halloween Spiders Invites to Start your Halloween Party Preps

Posted by abie on 3:17 AM in , , , ,
August is almost over and before we know it, it is already time to send your Halloween spiders invites for your Halloween party.

Every kid is excited for Halloween as they get to dress up in their favorite costume, decorate their homes with their parents and go around the neighborhood for trick or treat. But Halloween is not just for the kids but for the young at heart as well.

Adults can organize their Halloween party where they can dress up and be whatever they want to be for a day and party to their hearts content. So what does one need to plan for a perfect Halloween party? Here are some ideas:

1. Send out invitations for Halloween with spiders. Let your guests know when and where the party will be by sending them Halloween invites. You can easily order the invitations from www.invitationsbyu.com where you can find the widest selection of designs for Halloween invites. Ask your guests to dress up and come in their favorite costume. You can even have a best in costume contest and give prizes for the funniest and most creative costume.

2. Decorate the venue with spooky spiders, cobwebs, jack-o-lantern, grim reapers and more to add fun to the party.
3. Prepare for the food. Think of creative ways on how to transform your dining room and bar into a spooky place. Give the food and wine that you will serve with spooky names like “Shocktails wine” and the like so that it is in line with the theme of the party.
4. Think of fun games and activities for the party. Search the internet for fun games that you can play with your guests so the party will not be boring.

By keeping these ideas in mind, you are in for one spooky and scary Halloween party.

Looking for Invites for Oktoberfest Party

Posted by abie on 9:43 AM in , , , ,
It is just a few months away before Oktoberfest and so I am now looking for invites for Oktoberfest party. Just a few days ago, hubby was in Frankfurt, Germany to attend training. During that one week, he and his training mates were able to go around to explore Germany. One of the stories that hubby shared with me was the Oktoberfest which is an annual event held in Munich, Germany which last for 16 days from late September to early October. Hubby told me that it is a very festive event filled with a lot of merry making and large amount of consumption of German beer and food.

Good thing, I can easily order the invitations online from invitationsbyu.com. There are a lot of available designs to choose from and once I have selected the theme and design that I want, proof of the invites will be sent to me within one hour for checking before printing.

So once the invitations for Octoberfest parties have been sent, then all we need is some good German beer and food and we are all set for our own fun Oktoberfest gathering.

Jives @ Cobi's 3rd Birthday Party

Posted by abie on 2:53 AM in ,
Just look at how kids had so much fun during Cobi’s 3rd birthday party:
Well aside from the good food, fun games, overflowing of prices and the good sound system equipment that we got like apc40, what contributed to the fun of the party was the presence of Jives.

Jives is the sing and dance group that we got to perform for Cobi’s party as per his request. What I like about them is they can make the kids follow them as they sing and dance to popular songs of Katy Perry, One Direction, Taylor Swift and many more. Once they start performing, kids will not hesitate to go in front and perform with them.

Thanks again for another great performance, Jives. Till our next parties.

The men in Cobi’s life:
This picture was taken during Cobi’s 3rd birthday party held at Shakey’s Bluewave Macapagal. I am so thankful that they took time from their busy schedule to celebrate with us. We really felt the love.

Thanks again to all of Cobi’s Titos, Titas, Lolos, Lolas, cousins and friends who all came to his party, despite their busy Saturday schedule. You all really made his party extra special.

Hi5 Musical Party for Cobi's 3rd

Posted by abie on 3:14 AM in , , ,
Cobi will be having a Hi5 inspired party for his 3rd birthday, which is in 1.5 months. I haven’t prepared much for the party but one this is for sure, hubby and Cobi has to bring out their banjo from musicians friend because they will be doing a musical number.

Well Cobi loves to sing and dance and it fits really well with the Hi5 theme so why not take this opportunity to show his talent on stage, right? He knows a lot of the Hi5 songs, Maroon 5 and One Direction songs so it is just up to him to decide what songs he want to sing. Yes you heard me right, Cobi will be the one to choose what song he wants. At almost 3 years old, he acts like a grown up already and he makes his own decision.

I just wish that he will not chicken out and he will be in the mood to perform and entertain her guests.

Hi5 for Cobi's 3rd Birthday

Posted by abie on 8:02 AM in ,
In two months, my youngest will be celebrating his 3rd birthday. We are planning for a small party for him and we will be booking Shakey's as the party venue.

You wouldn't think that he will have a say when it comes to the party theme, but he does. When we asked him what theme he wants for his party, he answered without hesitation that he wants a Hi5 party.

So this means that it will be a party filled with lots of song and dance numbers. That is why the husband is busy now looking for fender jaguar at guitar center as he will be performing with Cobi and they will sing "Live While We're Young" by One Direction band.

I have also booked Jives, the sing and dance group, to provide a mini concert for the kids with some of Hi5 songs.

I am so excited and I am sure that this party will be a blast.

Bebots/Twitter Christmas Party

Posted by abie on 8:04 AM in , , , ,
On November 4, we will be attending our first Christmas Party. This will be for my Bebots/Twitter friends.

We usually have our parties early, as we are all busy especially during the Christmas season. And we made sure that we will be having an early Christmas party again this year as one of our friends from the US, Trin and her family, is here in the US to celebrate with us.

It will also double as a Trick or Treat event for the kids as the kids will come in costume and we will setup a Candy Buffet station, courtesy of Sweet Royals and as gift from our friend Apols, Ems and Faye (thank you girls).

As for the mommies and daddies, we are asked to come in our funny hat or fancy headdress for I am already looking for Women's Dress Hats at hat country so I will have something to wear for the party.

I am so excited already and I can’t wait to meet up again with all my online friends.

Just look at how busy our Calendar is:
• September 15 – Sandy’s 7th Birthday @ Valle Verde 6
• October 21 – Byko’s 1st Birthday @ Oasis
• October 28 – Ashley’s 1st Birthday @ Acropolis Clubhouse
• November 4 – Our Christmas party at Prestige Tower
• November 15 – Bela’s 7th Birthday party

Supplier Review: Bartenders at Work

Posted by abie on 8:46 AM in ,
During the wedding of my cousin last March, they had a mobile bar and all of us enjoyed it even the oldies and the younger generation in our family. That is why when I was planning for the party for my mom and dad, I know that we should get a mobile bar too.

We initially plan to get the same supplier as my cousins but luckily I found a good deal from one of the discount shopping sites, Groupon. I got the package for only P4,000 and is good for 30 – 50 guests already and it includes 5 international cocktails, 2 flaming shooters and 2 jello shots.

I was a bit scared at first to book them as it is the first time that I will be getting their service so I don’t know if they will be able to deliver or not. All our transactions are through text only so all the more I got a bit nervous. But I was really happy with the service that I got from them. They arrived early at the venue to set up the bar and the bartenders were really accommodating and friendly. They even created one of the drinks that we requested, which is not in their list. We extended for another 2 hours and the owner was so accommodating to our request that he also gave it to us at a discounted price.

I will definitely get them again for our future parties.

Mom & Dad's Joint Bday Celebration: Success

Posted by abie on 12:12 AM in ,
My mom and dad’s joint birthday celebration held last Easter Sunday was a huge success. It was a last minute decision on our part (my siblings and I) to host a party at home. Our initial plan was to rent a yacht, which can accommodate 30 guests, and we will have a party with the family and a few of my mom and dad’s friends. We also considered having the celebration either in Casa Roces (my husband and I’s favorite restaurant), Barbaras (and avail the promo from one of the discount shopping site) or the buffet dinner in Vikings.

But we figured that it will be more fun if our mom and our dad can invite as many of their friends as possible so we decided to just have the party at home.

I contracted my usual caterer, Blue Petals, to cater the food for the party, and then I got the personalized cakes from That Looks Tasty which is a recommendation from my good friend Mai and Thea, the mobile bar from Bartenders at Work and a videoke machine from one of our neighbors.

Everybody that they invited came and the party was a huge hit. Thanks to the cocktails and shooters that made all the guests drunk (including me. LOL), which added fun to the party and the videoke machine plus my mom’s friends who are so game in showing their talent in singing.

Our mom and our dad were really happy with how the celebration turned out and my siblings and I were really glad, as we really wanted to make their birthdays extra special and memorable.

Mom & Dad's Joint Bday Celebration

Posted by abie on 5:56 AM in ,
I am looking for Grandparent gift ideas as my kids’ gift for their grandparents on their joint birthday celebration on Saturday:

My dad just turned 58 years old last March 21 and my mom will be 60 on April 6 and so we thought of having a joint party for them on Easter Sunday.

I have made arrangements already for the party and have booked the following:
• Blue Petals Catering for the food for the party. I have paid the 75% down payment already to confirm the event.
• Cake and cupcakes for the event from That Looks Tasty Goodies. I have finalized the cake design with Iya and I can’t wait to see how the cake will turn out.
• Mobile Bar from Bartenders at Work. I purchased a voucher from Groupon and have finalized the arrangements with the owner via SMS. This is the first time that I bought a voucher from Groupon site and have transacted with Bartenders at Work unlike my other suppliers who have either been recommended to me or I have tried already, so hopefully they will be able to deliver.
• Invitations care of my cousin, Joseph.
• Styro backdrop and additional food for the party courtesy of my sister in law.

We are all excited for this party. This is the first party that we will host in our new home and hopefully the celebrants and the guests will have fun.

Achieving the Kate Middleton Look with the Help of Real Hair Extensions

Posted by abie on 9:11 PM in ,
My friend will be attending the Christmas party of their department and the theme for this year’s Christmas party is “Icons.”

She can’t think of a better character for this theme than the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. She was the most popular girl for 2011 because she made all girls believe that fairytales do come true when she got married to Prince Charles. I was one of the many individuals who tuned in to watch the royal wedding, as they want to see how one of the most important events in history will unfold.

My friend was able to complete the get up that she needs to better impersonate Kate as she found the perfect dress and the perfect hat to complete the look. The only problem is that my friend has short hair.

Thankfully, clip on hair extensions can come to her rescue. She can buy these extensions from the leading only beauty supply outlet, LeeBeauty so she will be able to get the last piece of accessory that she needs to complete her Kate Middleton look.

We are both excited to see how her overlook will turned out with the help of the real hair extensions from LeeBeauty.

Meeting the Kids from Ulingan

Posted by abie on 9:11 PM in ,
I fell in love…..

We had a very fulfilling Sunday as we spent it with the kids from Ulingan. The daughter of my good friend Peachy celebrated her 3rd birthday, and instead of celebrating it with a grand party, my friend decided to invite the kids from Ulingan village for a party at Jollibee.

Ulingan (Charcoal City) is a community in Tondo, Manila where young kids gather charcoal as their livelihood to provide for their families. Most of the kids don’t go to school even if there is a nearby school in Ulingan since they believe that poverty and education don’t fit together. That is why a non-profit organization called Project PEARLS is helping this community.

Their mission is to help unprivileged Filipino children to have a better life by giving them PEARLS:
Peace
Education
Aspiration
Respect
Love
Smile

One of their priority projects is their feeding program to feed the hungry and malnourished children of Ulingan. Imagine these kids still working even with empty stomachs, so they can gather charcoal that they can sell to help their families earn a living. Project PEARLS also give scholarships so underprivileged kids can have an opportunity to have better education. They also have monthly medical and dental missions to look after the health of the families living in Ulingan.

I am so glad that I was able to meet the kids and some of the parents from Ulingan. I scoured over my discount coupons and vouchers so I can shop for a lot of grocery items that we will donate to the kids in lieu of the gifts to the birthday celebrant.

I like to say congratulations to my friend, Peachy. You truly made the kids happy that day and I am thankful to be a part of it. Now I can’t wait for the celebration of my daughter’s 6th birthday with the kids of Hospicio de San Jose orphanage as I am sure it will have the same effect on me.

Dessert Table, anyone?

This is the candy/dessert station that my SIL together with his brother, DIY for the birthday of her daughter last Sunday. So cute and so shabby looking. It just looks like those candy and dessert stations that I usually see online.

And since we realized that this could be a good business, my cousin, my siblings and I decided that we would start offering this service.

So for your party needs, contact us at:

Ribbon, Caterer, Magician & More: All Ready for the Party

Posted by abie on 12:45 AM in
Last Saturday was the first birthday celebration of my son, Cobi. There was a typhoon that week that I was so worried the night before the party because it is still raining very hard so I am a sure street will be flooded and my guests might find it hard to go to the party venue.

But thanks to all my friends and family who prayed with me as we were given a good weather a few hours before lunch time and so by 3 PM the venue is almost full with all our families and friends who wants to celebrate this big event with us.

Everything is already ready for the party. The magicians, the caterer, the acrobats, the food carts and even the photo booth. I even wrapped all the prizes for the games in paper bags and ribbon (which I bought from Papermart.com) so it will look presentable on the prize table. The gifts for the adults have also been wrapped using organza bags so it really looks so pretty and presentable.

I talked to my supplier the night before and informed me that I can just let her know if I want to cancel the party and I didn't even know or think that cancelling is an option. But I just let go and left everything to Him and we received a miracle that day as it did not rain and almost all our closest friends and relatives made it to the party.

It was the most unforgettable birthday we had so far.

at Valle Verde 6 Clubhouse

So tomorrow is Cobi’s 1st birthday party. I have been preparing for this for almost a year already (I started planning when he was 2 months old) so I am really excited to see how my planning will all turn out.

Hubby wanted us to wear something bright and colorful and thankfully I was able to buy some nice and colorful clothes for us to wear tomorrow. Hubby and Bela will also wear funny t shirts during their song number.

I just wish that typhoon Falcon will finally go out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility so I can finally have a peace of mind that everything will turn out great tomorrow.

See you all there!!

Bela's Party @ Hospicio de San Jose

Posted by abie on 10:25 PM in , ,
Yehey, P-Noy declared November 16 as a non-working holiday. November 16 is the birthday of our princess. We initially planned to treat her out on that day like go to Ocean Park and check out their new attractions or go to the Science and Discovery Center at Mall of Asia. But we suddenly had a change of plans because I did not plan in advance Bela’s celebration with the kids at Hospicio de San Jose. I tried calling them last week to schedule Bela’s party there but all their weekends are already booked so I have no choice but to schedule it on the exact birth date of Bela.

I thought that it will just be our family who will celebrate with Bela and the kids at Hospicio but thankfully P-Noy declared 16 as a holiday so my other relatives can join us as what they always do every year.

This will be our fourth year to celebrate Bela’s birthday at Hospicio de San Jose and our family is really looking forward to see all the kids again.

MBAP / Twitter Xmas Party

Posted by abie on 10:00 PM in , ,
Yehey, our official party planner Jacqui already started to plan for the MBAP Christmas party. We first asked for everybody’s availability and since December is a busy month for most of us, so we decided to have it early.

Majority voted for November 7 and we will have the party at Shakey’s Blue Wave Macapagal. We all agreed to extend the invitation to our Twitter friends as well so it will be a grand Twitter EB too.

We will have exchange gift for all the kids and the white elephant game for the mommies and daddies. We already started to collect contributions so either Jacqui or I can go to Shakeys this weekend to pay the P2000 reservation fee.

We will be getting the party package from Shakeys so we don’t have to worry about the party games, hosting, balloons and loots bags for kids. We are also asking for raffle donations from our overseas Twitter friends. LOL.

Everybody is really excited as we are sure that it will be a blast.

Sports Themed Christmas Party

Posted by abie on 10:19 AM in , ,
We will be having a themed Christmas party for our family reunion this year. My aunt asked for my help to help the boys in our family with their costumes and as I was surfing the net for Christmas costumes, and I landed at the site of NFLUniformset.com. My family is real sports fan so I am sure they can’t say no if I ask them to come to the party wearing the uniform of their favorite NFL teams.

I checked out the site of NFLuniformset.com and they have a lot of cool NFL Merchandise like uniform set, sports equipment, masks, hats and even a NFL uniform set team locker which would be a great decoration for the party. Check this out:

I am sure all the boys in our family will be so proud and excited to come to the party wearing this cute NFL uniform set. Who wouldn’t? If you check out the site of NFLUniformset.com, you will find a lot of great NFL merchandise. Even collectors are buying from this site as they can put on display this NFL uniform sets and put it as part of their collection.

Check out their site if you are one NFL fan also.

This post is brougt to you by the site mentioned above.
