Jives @ Cobi's 3rd Birthday Party

Posted by abie on 2:53 AM in ,
Just look at how kids had so much fun during Cobi’s 3rd birthday party:
Well aside from the good food, fun games, overflowing of prices and the good sound system equipment that we got like apc40, what contributed to the fun of the party was the presence of Jives.

Jives is the sing and dance group that we got to perform for Cobi’s party as per his request. What I like about them is they can make the kids follow them as they sing and dance to popular songs of Katy Perry, One Direction, Taylor Swift and many more. Once they start performing, kids will not hesitate to go in front and perform with them.

Thanks again for another great performance, Jives. Till our next parties.

Hi5 Musical Party for Cobi's 3rd

Posted by abie on 3:14 AM in , , ,
Cobi will be having a Hi5 inspired party for his 3rd birthday, which is in 1.5 months. I haven’t prepared much for the party but one this is for sure, hubby and Cobi has to bring out their banjo from musicians friend because they will be doing a musical number.

Well Cobi loves to sing and dance and it fits really well with the Hi5 theme so why not take this opportunity to show his talent on stage, right? He knows a lot of the Hi5 songs, Maroon 5 and One Direction songs so it is just up to him to decide what songs he want to sing. Yes you heard me right, Cobi will be the one to choose what song he wants. At almost 3 years old, he acts like a grown up already and he makes his own decision.

I just wish that he will not chicken out and he will be in the mood to perform and entertain her guests.

Our Little Explorer

Posted by abie on 10:47 AM in
Meet our little explorer:

He will be turning 2 years old in just a few days. He is indeed our little explorer as he is so curious that he loves to check out anything that he sees at home. He loves to touch the blade of the electric fan, the power outlets, and he even won’t stop bothering his elder sister’s pet bird. LOL.

This reminds us that we really should start baby proofing our home by installing kids switchplate covers, bumper guards, wall fence and more.

Just recently he had an accident when he bumped his head on the corner of the sofa. He had a contusion that my husband and I can’t even look at him. But I guess that it is part of growing up.

As what my parents always tells us, we don’t have to be over protective. We should let our kids enjoy and have fun as this is how they will learn.

To Blog

Posted by abie on 7:40 PM in , ,
I have to make a list here of the things that I need to blog as there are a lot of events that happened in the past week, before I totally forget about it:

1. Bela’s United Nations celebration. I already uploaded the pictures but I haven’t found the time to make a post about it yet.
2. Celebration of Bela’s birthday at Ocean Park.
3. Bela’s party at Hospicio de San Jose
4. Bela’s birthday dinner with our family
5. Bela’s birthday party at the Creamery
6. Bela’s Book Week Program
7. Jacobo’s 5th month birthday

See, I told you there is really a lot. I wonder when I will find the time to blog all about it as well as sort and upload all the pictures that hubby took in those events. Just watch out, if I find my blogging mojo, I will just sit down one day and blog all about the important events of our family for November.

Busy October

Posted by abie on 12:38 PM in , ,
October has been a very busy month for us. I still have a lot of things that I need to blog so I have to make a list before I totally forgot about it:

1. Bela’s United Nations celebration in school. Their section represented the country Hawaii. Howell took lots of pictures but I haven’t found the time to sort and upload it. Bela was even chosen as one of the representatives of Prep for the Prayer song which they performed at the last part of the program.
2. Country Fair at School as part if United Nations celebration also.

3. Bela and Cobi’s Trick or Treating at the US Embassy

4. The SSC Ballet Club’s open house. They are really strict during regular classes and they don’t allow parents to watch their kids during class. So when they invited the parents for the open house, we made sure that we are armed with our camera and video cam to capture every moment as Bela just so loves her ballet class.

I really hope that I will find the time next week to blog all about this.

Desperate

Posted by abie on 1:40 PM in , , ,
Can you recommend the safest diet pills that work. I am still breastfeeding so I am looking for a way to loose weight without posing harm to Cobi. I also delivered via Caesarean section so I am not sure if I can go back to the gym already to work out.

I am really desperate to loose weight. It has been almost three months already and I haven’t shed even one single pound. But now that I am back at work, I am hoping that I will start loosing weight because I don’t eat as often now as compared to when I was just at home when all I do for almost the whole day is just eat. Plus add to that the daily stress that I get when commuting to and from work and my daily exercise in doing my work, so hopefully I will start to loose weight soon.

My Breastfeeding Tools

Posted by abie on 12:00 AM in ,
It is my second day at work today. Since my target is to breastfeed Cobi for a minimum of six months, I continued expressing milk even while at work. So everyday, I brought along with me my breastfeeding gadgets:

• My Electric Breastpump – This was a gift from my Twitter and Bebot friends. I am really glad that I got the electric pump because it is so much easy to use to express milk. If I have the manual pump, I might be needing compression stockings for my hand as it gets a little painful when expressing milk two to three times a day for 30 minutes per session.
• My Milk Storage Kits – So I can store my milk and freeze it while I am still at work and just bring it home so Cobi has milk for the next day.
• My Fridge to Go – I bought this from Indigo Baby online site and it has a cooling performance of up to 12 hours so I can see to it that my expressed milk is in a cool compartment when I bring it home from the office.
• My Milk Trays – I tried using it today but it takes longer for the milk to freeze using this as compared to freezing milk in the bottle.

I am happy that Cobi is still getting breast milk even if I have to go back to work already. I just hope that I will really meet my goal of breastfeeding Cobi for at least six months.

The Story of our Door Knob

Posted by abie on 9:07 PM in ,
We have a new door hardware. My husband, Bela and I are out that night as we attended the send-off party hosted by our good friend Meg for Fr. Lito at their house in Cavite. We were having a good time catching up, enjoying good food and listening to CB as he plays good music for us while he plays the piano when I thought of checking my phone and I was surprised to see that I have sixteen missed calls from my mom.

When I called her, she told me that she and Cobi went out and the nanny picked the wrong key and so they can’t get inside our house. She asked us to hurry up because Cobi’s milk and bottle is inside the house and so they can’t get it since they don’t have the key.

We have to leave the party early even if we still wanted to stay longer to chat with our friends whom we haven’t seen for a long time already but we really have to go home because I am sure in no time, Cobi will be ask for his milk.

We have just left the village and when I called my mom, she already asked somebody to destroy the door knob so they can open the house because Cobi has been crying already because of hunger.

It is so sad that we have to leave the party early but I am happy because my mom was able to find a way to gain access to Cobi’s milk and bottles as I really don’t want him to cry and cry because of hunger.

Cobi's Baptism

Posted by abie on 7:28 PM in ,
I am happy with the progress of our preparations for the baptism of Cobi:

• I already ordered the cake for the event
• I will be meeting up with my souvenir supplier this Saturday to pick up our orders
• We already stared distributing the invitations and we will continue distributing it this weekend
• I already bought clothes for me, Bela and Cobi which we will wear on that day so we only have to look for Howell’s Bab
• Hubby is already working on the tarpaulin

I guess we are all set for next week.

Cobi, Bela and Me

Posted by abie on 11:11 AM in , ,
This picture was just taken yesterday after Bela’s swimming class at Colegio de San Agustin and you can see how fat I am. LOL. I haven’t loose any weight and the worst part is I even gained weight. Now how pathetic is that? But I am really hoping that the lack of sleep and my breastfeeding will help me loose weight soon.

But I am really happy because Cobi is doing really ok. Thanks to prenate dha prenatal vitamins that I took while I was pregnant because Cobi is growing up to be a very healthy baby. He actually gained 3.4 pounds already only after a month and I am sure he will be as smart as his sister because the prenatal vitamins that I took when I was pregnant has ingredients that will really help in Cobi’s fetal brain and retinal development.

I am really thankful that Cobi is growing up to be a healthy baby boy and I continue to pray that he and his sister will stay fit and healthy.
