Famous quotes by Jose Mourinho

Despite hating Chelsea, I have the utmost respect for Jose Mourinho for his achievement in turning a small club with little history in EPL into a team that ALMOST made it to the finals of Champions League. It isn't easy trying to make 11 big headed players gel together and win. He won back to back Premiership crowns and he did it with style. Jose - if you're free, do come down to Malaysia and help us !

Just some quotes by the Special One.

During his time as Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho kept the football world entertained with a string of comments that took in the good, the bad and the downright ugly. Here, we look at some his most famous verbal volleys.

• 'Please don't call me arrogant, but I'm European champion and I think I'm a special one' - Mourinho introduces himself to the English press after arriving from Porto in summer 2004.

• 'In the second half it was whistle and whistle, fault and fault, cheat and cheat. The referee controlled the game in one way during the first half but in the second they had dozens of free-kicks. I know the referee did not walk to the dressing rooms alone at half-time' - Mourinho claims Sir Alex Ferguson had unduly influenced referee Neale Barry at half-time during a Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester United in January 2005. He was fined £5,000 by the Football Association for improper conduct.

• 'I don't regret it. The only thing I have to understand is I'm in England, so maybe even when I think I am not wrong, I have to adapt to your country and I have to respect that. I have a lot of respect for Liverpool fans and what I did, the sign of silence - 'shut your mouth' - was not for them, it was for the English press' - Mourinho defends putting a finger to his lips during the 2005 Carling Cup final against Liverpool, an action which resulted in him being sent to the stands.

• 'When I saw Rijkaard entering the referee's dressing room I couldn't believe it. When Drogba was sent off I didn't get surprised. There is something that tells me that in London the referee will be Collina, the best in the world. A perfect referee with personality and quality' - Mourinho claims in Portuguese newspaper Dez Record that Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard visited referee Anders Frisk's dressing room at half-time in the first leg of the teams' Champions League last-16 clash in February 2005. Mourinho was banned from the dug-out for two matches and fined £9,000 by UEFA for bringing the game into disrepute over his claims.

• 'I felt the power of Anfield, it was magnificent. I felt it didn't interfere with my players but maybe it interfered with other people and maybe it interfered with the result. You should ask the linesman why he gave a goal. Because, to give a goal, the ball must be 100% in and he must be 100% sure that the ball is in' - Mourinho questions the validity of Liverpool forward Luis Garcia' s goal which puts Chelsea out of the Champions League semi-finals on May 3, 2004.

• 'It is not a red card, of course not, and for the second time we have to play 55, 60 minutes without a man and the game is completely different. I shouldn't speak about the game, because the game is not a game' - Mourinho blames a first-leg defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League last 16 in February 2006 on the sending-off of Asier del Horno.

• 'We have played against them four matches in two seasons. (When it was) 11 against 11 they never beat us. That is the reality' - After 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp in 2006 which sent Barca through to the quarter-finals 3-2 on aggregate.

• 'The goalkeeper has the ball in his hands, slides and the number 10 cannot get the ball. He goes with the knee into his face' - Mourinho accuses Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt of deliberately injuring Petr Cech after the pair collide in the first minute of last October's match at the Madejski Stadium.

• 'It is not possible (for) penalties (to be awarded) against Manchester United, and it is not possible (to get) penalties in favour of Chelsea. If somebody punishes me because I tell the truth, it is the end of democracy, we go back to the old times' - The Chelsea boss fumed last weekend after seeing his side's penalty appeals against Newcastle turned down, a day after United were given the benefit of the doubt over a strong injury-time penalty claim by Middlesbrough in their clash at Old Trafford.

• 'A player who wants to be the best one of the world, and he already may be, should have the uprightness and the sufficient maturity to verify that against facts there are not arguments. If he says that it is a lie that Manchester United have conceded some penalties this season which have not been awarded against them, he is lying. And if he lies he will never reach the level that he wants to reach' - Mourinho hit back at Ronaldo after the United winger claimed his penalty rant proved his countryman 'doesn't know how to admit his own failures'.

• 'It is omelettes and eggs. No eggs - no omelettes! It depends on the quality of the eggs. In the supermarket you have class one, two or class three eggs and some are more expensive than others and some give you better omelettes. So when the class one eggs are in Waitrose and you cannot go there, you have a problem' - Shorn of the likes of injury victims Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba, Mourinho cooked up a surreal analogy ahead of Tuesday's fateful draw with Rosenborg.

Champions League - your first 11 ?

We (Ragu,Khugan,Mahesh and I) were sitting in the library chilling (pun intended). They wanted to go to the Exam Unit and I wanted to......*can't remember* . While talking about Champions League and the semifinals or finals ( i forgot), we decided to come up with our first eleven. If you think you can create a better team, just leave a comment.

An interesting article from Goal.com regarding the tactical display by Special One and The Tinker Man. Well crafted and certainly true.

Will Chelsea do this for MU ?

I believe not. I do not believe Chelsea will do what we did back in 2005. And then Mourinho comes out and says this :
"They did it for us [in 2005] and we shall do the same for them,"
I still won't believe till I see it at the Bridge. Jose, even if we do lose this tie, we ain't going to let you guys get the FA CUP !

Paul Scholes stunner !

Paul Scholes

Paul Scholes, the architect in the midfield with his trademark run-ins and superb volleys, scored another stunner against Aston Villa. The goal coming in the second half , was United second of the night. This season has seen the best of Scholes in as many years. This season also marks his return after a lengthy spell on the sidelines last year due to an eye injury.

EPL Talk

The past few days, we have seen a couple of wonderful goals coming from players such as Kanu, Matthew Taylor ( Portsmouth) , Didier Drogba,Frank Lampard, Essien (Chelsea) and Huddlestone (Tothenham) and Bentley ( Blackburn) just to name a few.

Matthew Taylor

Didier Drogba

Many of the football pundits were talking about how well the shots were taken and how Matthew Taylors and Didier Drogba were gunning for the Goal of the Season since they have been banging superb goals like taking a stroll in the park.

What many people never spoke about was AGAINST whom this goals were scored ? That's right. The only reasons these goals became 'goal of the season' is because the keepers fail to save the ball from entering the net.

Tim Howard

Two of the best goals last week scored by Matthew Taylors and Didier Drogba was against this man, TIM HOWARD currently on loan at Everton. Sad to say, I had high hopes for him when he joined United back in 2003. I managed to watch the video that was compiled during his MSL days and they were amazing. His reflexes was superb, he had the agility and he was big. Then as usual , the 'MU keeper jinx' took its toll on Tim and he was loaned out. Thanks to him, Chelsea won 3-2 against Everton and closed the gap at the top to 2 points. Two so-called wonder goals by Frank Lampard (81st) and Didier Drogba (87th min). Thanks to West Ham for fucking up MU's game the other day. Arrgh.

__Football makes me emotional__

My bet is if Drogba can maintain his form this season, the following awards will be decorating his bare cabinets in his London home.
- Player of the Month ( December)
- Player of the Year in EPL ( If Chelsea wins anything at all)
- Player of the Year for the club

- European Player if Chelsea progresses till the semi-final the very least

Life is getting fun and tougher ...issh which one now !!!

Now days getting more lazy to update my blog.I just prefer to update it one shot. Let me get started then on my recent updates.

I had mock meeting on Tuesday (1300) for Tech Comm. Had to be there at 12.30 and meet the teacher to get our topic of discussion. We were there and the realise the room was a lab. Shits !! Then had to run to FCM building thinking we were in the wrong building only to meet up with other members who were running back in the opposite direction(FOE) thinking they were in the wrong building. The problem - the fucked up lecturer gave us the wrong room address. ( 4019 was supposed to be 4091) .How buuduooh can she get ? Then she was late summore. Reason being she overslept. Actually we tought it was lame till my frens knocked on her room door. She bangun tidur with her air liur meleleh keluar. Her face all messed up. We penat penat bangun and she sleeping.

Next was my game against ILC on Wednesday. We played with second string players and the score at half-time was 1-1. Shits. I left in one goal. How fucked up? Then we brought in de gempak players and won the game (2-1). All we could do was just sit and wait for the SEPAM game on Thursday. The next day all the Salsa players turun to support ILC. Match was heated up as SEPAM were losing 1-0 . Lingesh and I only made made it in time for the second half. ILC were playing way better compared to the previous day. the game ended with ILC winning 2-1.
The trophy now belonged to SALSA fc and their fans. The awards are as below :

Best defence : Salsa Fc ( 4 goals)
Best attack : Sepam Fc (18 goals)
Top scorer : Vimalan (Sepam - 8 goals)
Tops scoring game : Sepam (9) - Futard (0)
Best game of the season : Salsa (2) - Sepam (2)
Best female supporter : Piriya

Met Geetha on Wednesday nite for dinner since she will be leaving MMU by this sem. Went to makan in Dengkil. We had a lengthy conversation. It was worthwhile. As usual I was acting like a jerk cutting her off here and there...insulting her...making stupid jokes....man..when will i grow up and treat a lady as she is. ( Memo to self : must grow up !! ). Janji with friends summore to join them. Totally screwed that too..

Today (Friday) went to campus to just reconfirm my status with finance. I was the only asshole from de house to get barred. All because of RM 187.50. WTF ? MMu can't run without my money is it ? Make me run and panic. Thanks to Raja who lent me RM 200, I manage to get myself out of the shit hole (barring list) and register for my subjects tomorrow.Finance is soo screwed. Why can't they come up with a more advanced system whereby an e-mail will be sent to ur freaking account. Wouldn't that be easier ? The queue was soo long it had to fold itself (not enough room to stretch). I wanted to line up but then saw ma frens who were kind enough to let me potong the Q. I believe in being truthful and lining kind-a-thing but in this case, it's better to be smart and get urself unbarred. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day. I'm going to PC fair in PWTC and hopefully it turns up well. God Bless.

Spoke too soon :(

After the last game with FOM, I was wandering when was the last time i had actually lost a game. The answer is none. My conclusion was bcoz i was wearing my lucky yellow shirt. Games in order :
Futard vs Salsa : 3-3
ICS CYBER vs ICS MELAKA : 2-1
Salsa vs Futard : 3-1
Salsa vs Sepam : 2-2
Salsa vs VascoDaGaMa : 2-0
FOe vs FOM : 1-1

I was happily bragging to Khugan about it till FOE played FCM. We lost 2-0. Godammit....it was painful. Anyway i came back and washed the yellow shirt to scrub off the bad luck i had gained from the game. I was supposed to go for the ICT thingy but then at the same time i had to go and buy the kurta for the dance next SAT. Money was still the prob but then i guessed an outing would have been better. Left for K.L at 11 sumthing and ate at McD (not really money saving!!). Jalan jalan with the gang. The girls took sooo lomg just to pick a dress but i think overall it was still fast for a GIRL (meanest shoping machines). The boys had difficulty finding the same 4 pairs. We opted for 2 of different kinds. Left KL at 7 and reached Cyber at 8 and the gang went dining. Started dance practise at 9.30.

Slept at 1 and slept and slept...too tired...

Winning - The feeling

Today is Saturday. No surpirse there. I'm in Cyber..Aaaahhhh..Sumthing wrong. Actually the reason i stayed back was becoz there was dancing audition (we got it) and today was the first league competition game between Salsa Fc an Futard Fc. I'm playing for Salsa as their keeper.Game started at 5.15 p.m. We scored 3 goals in the first half ( Mann-2 , Khugan-1) and second half we did some substitutions. They pulled one back becoz of some defensive and goalkeeping error (it really was not my fault) and the last 3 minutes they were awarded a penalty.Damm....I SAVED it...That was the best feeling i have ever felt during a football game. The pure joy, the faces of teammates and the wishes..beautiful...simply beautiful...

I learnt a thing or 2 during these past few day.Its about smokers.
1. People smoke to 'release' tension - big lie
2. Smoking makes u look cool - full of crap
3. " I can stop smoking anytime" - why start in the first place ?

The fact is :
1. Smoking kills u...
2. Smoking kills people around u too...

Now days its getting pretty hard to bitch about people because i have been doing my CNN work..informing people of this site..Me and my big mouth...God damm it.

"If you smoke and drink.. it's cool..even if you are an ASSHOLE "

Manchester United - My Team

Well lots of things have been said about the downfall of MU and that Alex Ferguson has been with the team for a long time and he is makin more blunders in a season than he has in his previous 15 seasons with MU. It all came down to the showdown with Arsenal at OT. I would not say it was a beautiful game but rather a game with its own physical way. Arsenal were simply outclassed. The inclusion of Phil Neville proved that Alex had his team selection rite. RVN seems to be lacking the confidence now days but with more games to come, I believe he will be back to his best. Rooney was the one who ended Arsenal unbeaten run when he was at Everton and here he was again to deny Arsenal their 50th unbeaten run game. People may say he faked the fall for a penalty but remember what goes around comes around. Remember what Pires did against Portsmouth in the dying minutes ? With good defending and had work MU will surely bounce back and retain the title. As for Arsenal may they are gonna attempt the longest losing team.

Lets talk about the current players that Alex has bought. Kleberson for instance is not a bad player. He was with the winning Brazil World Cup squad. He deserves more time to prove his worth. Playin in central midfield is his best position. Eric Djemba Djemba is an international Cameroon player who is capable of playing at a very high level with MU. He is good at defending and his body attributes can really intimidate opponents. His only weakness is his passing. Liam Miller plungged with injury is still a decent midfield player. A flexible player who can play on the right and central midfield. A good crosser and good at defending too. Ronaldo is summone we don't have to introduce any further. Tricks and skills are his middle name. His weakness - defending with the team.He does not go into tackles or pressures any oponents. Saha and Smith both are the typical out and out strikers unlike RVN. They prefer to work their way from outside the box b4 entering the 18 yard box. They are hardworking and put in tackles after tackles. Smith defied the odds when the left Leeds for MU yet he has proven his worth by being the top scorer with 7 goals till this very moment. Players may come players may go but MU is here to stay and win championship. May the force be with MU !!
