On My Kitchen Counter 4

Cold and snowy winter days are hopefully over.
They kept me indoors setting up
fruit and veg still life possibilities for future paintings.

Long winter days can drive one
bonkers and I sometimes resorted to playing with my food before preparing it.

With such colors,,, who could resist painting such beauties.
Too pretty to eat you say.
That is the best part,,,eating the props.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful start to springtime.

Back to the drawing board.....

Pantone Color of the Year for 2015

MARSALA is the color of the year ...a naturally robust and earthy wine red or burgundy.

Hearty, yet a stylish tone which is universally appealing and translates easily to
fashion, beauty, industrial design, furnishings and interiors....according to Pantone.

 A beautiful color for fashion.

A lovely color found in Mother Nature.

An appealing color for interior as well as exterior.

A beautiful way to start off 2015... with such a beautiful color!

What do you think of Marsala?
Read more about it and past colors of the year at Pantone.
You can also see past colors of the year here on my blog too.

Cherries 2

Hope your weekend is as sunny and beautiful as it is here in southern Germany.

I am working on more cherry watercolors.
One is in the beginning phase and the other in about phase three with about four.... or so more to go.

Have a great weekend!

Cherries

Cherries on my kitchen counter.
I am having fun doing a watercolor of this foto.

What are you having for dessert today?  Why not put a cherry on top. Or better yet..
why not have "a bowl full" of those juicy beauties.

I hope you are relaxed and ready for the purrfect Christmas.

I made some gift tags for some of my cat loving friends.

Gift tag salad.....ready to get attached to the presents.

I could not resist,,,,,I had to hang one on my door handle.

Tis the Season

Tis the Season....in a rainbow of washi tape colors.

Pick a color.

Any color.

Maybe you are a purple person.

Or a pink person.

I love the color orange.

I had fun using up some of my assorted washi tapes.
Some quick and easy Christmas cards.

I am sharing this with Take a Word.

You  know what they say don´t you...
A girl can never be too rich, too skinny or have
too much washi tape.

Mail

Snail Mail,,What´s That?
She obviously doesn´t remember what it is like to
receive a letter from a friend or maybe she doesn´t like
to send greeting cards. I think she has an attitude problem,,
don´t you?
Maybe we should all send her a get well card so she snaps
out of it,,,what do you think?

I am sharing this with Stampotique.
Have a sunny weekend!

Angel

Guardian Angel ATC
A sweet image with such an angelic looking face. I knew right away she would be the perfect angel.
She is adhered to some of my watercolor background paper with some added stars and an angel eyelet. Dried grasses are placed on the lower left with a braided gold strip and three punched stars along the bottom. I stamped a few gold swirls on the right side and edged the card with black ink. The last step was to place a subtle golden halo in her hair using antique gold paste.
There are many more beautiful angels over at Take a Word....go have a look.
