New Fallen Snow

Winter has finally arrived in southern Germany.

The new fallen snow blankets the land far and wide.

I had to shovel out my driveway....I´d rather be painting.

I do not fancy driving in or shoveling snow but I sure love

the scenery it makes. I spent the week making some of my

snowscene watercolors into winter cards.

I love cold weather and being out in a forest covered with snow.

I was even painting these winter forests back in June already.

A quick watercolor sketch of an alpine lake in Germany.

We don´t have an ocean but the view of the Alps

from one of our many lakes is always a sight to behold.

Countryside

A few views from a much larger watercolor of

the countryside around where I live.

This is a stream that runs by my favorite

rock area. This was painted this past Autumn

when all the grass started turning a wonderful

indian yellow.

My Neck of the Woods

Nothing like a beautiful day at the foot of the Alps.

A peaceful meadow.....

filled with wildflowers......

Even the horses love it here.......

.......running free at the foot of the Alps...

The first one to tell me the correct name of the castle in the distance gets a little "goodie" packet.

Can you name the castle for me? Walt Disney loved this place. Bonus question: Who knows the name of town I am in while taking these fotos of the castle?
