Edward Cullen...Diet Role Model!
After dinner the two little ones wanted a piece of a chocolate bar. I thought I could break off a couple squares and be ok...oh the yummy smell! I put it to my nose and inhaled...the muscles in my jaw twitched and I started salivating...
Climb Every Mountain
Last Thursday Manga Dork and I went to sign up for TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly). Since I knew it would mostly be older people I invited one of Manga Dork's friends to join with us. I knew she was planning on dieting over the summer. Well, when we got there and weighed I was in shock. Their scales weighed me 20 pounds heavier than my Wii! I even went to Dr. Hubby's office this past Monday to see if their scales were ok. Unfortunately TOPS scales are pretty accurate.
As part of my weight loss effort I decided to walk down and then back up our hill once a day. It's not quite as steep as this pic, but it sure felt like that to this fat chick. Yesterday as I was walking back up I did not think I would make it. I had to stop half way. Then I heard voices..."You can do it Mom." "Come on Scrappy you can do it." "Woo Hoo!" It was Manga Dork and her BFF Nicole cheering me on from the top. My own personal cheering section. I made it to the top huffing and puffing thanks to those sweet girls. Gotta love 'em!

Family = F*U*N!
We {LOVE} when our cousins come to visit. Manga Dork loves Cousin Ka-Ka alot!
Mother of The Year...I don't think so...children, don't try this at home.

The two little ones are in love with their Great Uncle Lige. Wild Child wouldn't let him out of her sight and of course Cutie Patootie has to do what she does!
Time to take Manga Dork to have her lip waxed!
Manga Dork took my camera {I can't believe I let her touch it!} and took several cool photos...I am so proud. However, I can't stand raw meat and this makes me want to throw up. The burgers were yummy though!
Happy Tuesday!

Yard Sales, 1100 Pound Birthday Presents, And Farm Feet
This weekend was our community yard sale. I think it adds up to about 20 miles of yard saling F*U*N! Dr. Hubby hauled my stuff down the hill on his trailer and I was in business!
SIL had a trailer full of stuff too...it really helped to have a partner when you needed to run to the bathroom...we were busy!
Well, after 2 days of selling I came out $240 richer...with no help from Annie Louise! What a lazy canine! I also came out looking alot like Mr. Krabs on Spongebob...I got a little sunburned...more than a little...
What do think Dr. Hubby was doing during all of this? Do you think he was right by my side selling? HA! Well, on Friday he worked...but on Saturday he went to Cabela's and picked up his birthday safe. It weighs 1100 pounds and cost more than it weighs! Can't wait til my bday! LOL!
I think I know the answer to the question "Did Cousin Bethany take a shower before bed?" LOL! Gotta love the farm! I will post later about the family fun we had!

Princess For A Day?
Here is the layout I did the other day for AMR's May Challenge. Instead of choosing a "real" winner they chose randomly...bummer. The enthusiasm for completing and even hosting the challenges seems to have dwindled...not much fun anymore. Anyhoo...the pics on this layout are from my sister's wedding. It was a winter wonderland. She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. I was her matron of honor AND I did all the flowers. These pics of mom and dad made me cry...I am sure there are tear stains on the paper somewhere. I just wish I lived closer to them.
Making plans for the Princess of the Day with my girls got me started thinking about what I would do if I was Princess. I am curious...
What would you choose to do? I want all the juicy details...

Summer Lovin'
Tomorrow will be Manga Dork and Wild Child's last day of school! Hurray! I love the last couple weeks of school. I go into planning mode. I get out a notebook and a pen and sit around coming up with ideas to make this the best summer EVER!
Here's what I have for this summer so far...
Manga Dork and I will be joining our local TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly). We are going to both try to drop 24 pounds by the time school starts again. There is a reward to be earned by Manga Dork if she accomplishes this task.
I am going to be traveling to my parent's home at least once a month with the 3 girls. I am hoping to get in a girls nite out with BFF Ruth each time too. I miss her alot.
Dr. Hubby and I will be celebrating our 15th anniversary on July 8th. He mentioned something about Niagara Falls...fingers crossed!
Princess For a Day...each girl will get one day completely alone with me...to do whatever she wishes. They won't know when it will be until they awaken to a **CROWN**.
4th of July...we usually host our "Firecracker Festival" at our home with Dr. Hubby's family. This is kinda gettin' old...so I think I may "revamp" it.
In August...Manga Dork, my mom, and I will be driving to NC to see Lil Sis...I am also hoping to meet the Purple Diva and Suzie...fingers crossed again.

I also come up with my own book club. It includes my kids and my niece and nephew. We usually get together with everyone on the farm once a week and they give reports of their assigned book. In the past they have earned stars for each book they read...they redeem them at an "auction."
I also have plans for some "school" at the schoolhouse for the little ones.
I am not finished planning...hopefully I can sit down today and think of some more.
Any great ideas? I would love to have some fresh ones...

The "F" Word
**Warning...this post may fall under the category TMI!
This past Saturday I was shopping at Walmart in the fishing aisle. I only had Cutie Patootie with me in my buggy...Manga Dork and Wild Child were with MIL in the toy section. I thought I could get by with something since we were the only ones in the aisle. Well, I mistakenly made a small noise. I knew I was in trouble when Cutie turned to look at me...

Cutie: MOMMY...YOU FART!
Scrappy: Shhhh!
Cutie: MOMMY...YOU FART OUT YOUR BUTT!
(Scrappy tries to hide behind the fishing poles)
I could have choked the cute little booger. She has the loudest voice and I know everyone heard in the neighboring aisles. I found out soon that I was not the only person being humiliated by their toddler. Later while I was washing my hands in the bathroom I over heard this conversation...
Toddler: Grandma you really peed alot.
Grandma: Yes...shhh!
Toddler: Grandma you are really old.
Grandma: Yeah...kinda.

Happy 34th Birthday Dr. Hubby!
Yesterday we celebrated Dr. Hubby's 34th birthday. We went to his parent's home for lunch and I brought along the party (cake, presents, decos).
Each of the girls gave him a present they picked out themselves. Cutie gave him a box of strawberry whoppers candy.
Wild Child gave him a bag of minnows for fishing. These were so gross, but she was so proud of her choice.
His parents gave him a set of horseshoes. I think I found a new talent! I'm not too shabby.
I gave him a gun safe...where is it?...he was supposed to go pick it up and decided not to since we don't have the area ready to put it. So once again it looks like I bombed on his present...maybe I will get Father's Day right.
