Freezin' In Cleveland

Yesterday was a great lazy day here at the Hilton in Cleveland. I decided I did not want to go back out during the day because it just wasn't worth braving the cold. I blogged, surfed the net, and laid around watching tv. Ahhhh...

In the evening Dr. Hubby and I drove 30 minutes to the Great Northern Mall. Dr. Hubby was so patient while I went into "heaven"....errrr {cough cough}....I mean Archivers. For you non scrappers Archivers is to Scrapbookers as Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops is to Outdoorsmen. Then I went to Gymboree to spend my "Gym Bucks." I was in there for 2 hours...poor Dr. Hubby. He was a good sport though and roamed the mall on his own. This photo is the view out our windshield on the way home...it was really slick and I was SO glad to get back to the hotel.

I played around taking pictures with my Nikon to take my mind off the snow!

Funny story...This afternoon I got out of the shower and was getting dressed. I put on my new Betsey socks my parents got me for Christmas. They are SO cute and I love the signature on the bottom...so I thought I would take a picture. I take the pic and put my foot down off the bed...Dr. Hubby comes back from a seminar. He looks at me funny and says "I come in and see my wife naked* holding a camera...thats a little unsettling." LOL! *I had on underclothes.

We are heading home at 2:30 today!

Winning & Losing

The other day I made these 2 cards for a challenge on the AMR board. We had to make a Valentine card for a soldier serving in Afghanistan. I had so much fun making it...I made 2. I thought it fit well in my goal to be a "better" member of the community/citizen.

Well, those 2 cards won me all this great loot! I was SO excited!

Dr. Hubby took me to lunch at one of my fave restaurants. We do not have a PF Changs in our area so it was a special treat! Dr. Hubby felt $60 was a bit much for lunch...he is probably right...but it was SO yummy!

This evening we went to TJMaxx and picked up food from Wendys. Even with the yummy lunch I have done well on my diet! Speaking of diets...Manga Dork is trying to lose 2 pounds while I am on my trip. If she loses it she will get a new outfit...pop over to her blog and cheer her on!

I woke up this morning at 7:30 am with Dr. Hubby and he went downstairs at 8am. I turned off all the lights and got cozy under the covers...and then got back up at 8:15! I could not go back to sleep. That usually happens on the first morning. Now tomorrow is another story...see ya at noon! LOL!

It costs $11 for a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice...no thanks! I think I will venture out for lunch. So my breakfast = Diet Coke. LOL!

Hello From The Hilton!

Dr. Hubby and I arrived at the Hilton in Cleveland tonight. It is a "chilly" 2 degrees here! It is a pretty nice hotel...the best features are the TJMaxx and PFChangs across the street! LOL! I am trying my best to behave with my diet and I have been successful so far.

I am looking forward to spending romantic time with my hubby, sleeping til noon, reading, writing, watching tv, blogging, and exploring with Dr. Hubby in the evenings. There is an Archivers (scrapbook superstore) 30 minutes away! I will try to share photos while I am still here if I can figure out this laptop.

For 3 nights! Just me, Dr. Hubby, a laptop, a good magazine, a good book, and anything else I want to do! Woo Hoo! He will be at a conference during the day and then we can sightsee in the evenings! I SO need this.

If only it was summer...LOL!
