A Blue Birthday In My Sea Of Pink

Lately we have been a little tired {Wild Child asleep standing up in the kitchen one evening}...a little stressed...and a little sad. The main thing weighing me down was I found out a secret and it had me feeling like Vince Vaughn in his last movie. Ugh. The cat is out of the bag now {I didn't tell} and so other people can now deal with the situation. I'm done.
I decided we needed to get back to normal so I decided to do what I do best...plan a party! Friday was Toby {the Shih Tzu}'s 2nd birthday. With 3 girls I was loving all the blue! I picked up a gourmet doggy donut at the doggy bakery.

Toby was such a good sport even though he wasn't feeling very good. Earlier he had 2 shots at the vet. Poor baby.

He thought the blue icing on the donut tasted yummy!

I attempted a group shot. Not too bad...but Toby has his eyes closed...lol.

Toby loved his donut so much he didn't even seem interested in the real icing from Manga Dork's nose.

Still not impressed with Cutie's icing nose.

Wild Child loved her cupcake...she wasn't sharing even one drop of icing.

We gave Toby a Foofah dog and a squeaky rubby pacifier. Then we broke apart the donut.

Annie Louise even joined us for a bite...or three.

Thank you all for your sweet comments on my last post. Could you hear all those little violins playing their sad songs? The weight of the secret coupled with always feeling like I am being put down for being me and getting used to not being my teen's favorite person had crushed my spirit. I had to make some decisions. I needed some change. Change is good.

Happy Monday!

Bieber Birthday Fever!

On Friday night we celebrated Wild Child's 6th {OMG I can't believe she is that old} birthday! We ALL had BIEBER FEVER!

Every little girl wants a "kiss" from JB! We decorated a room at our local gym. There were LOTS of Justin Bieber posters and PURPLE! Did you know Justin Bieber's favorite color is NOT purple?! I know...I was shocked when I read this too. His FAVORITE color is blue. Purple is his SIGNATURE color.

Giant PURPLE gumballs!

Purple Jolly Joes!

We started the party with Rock Star tatoos and purple manicures.

Manga Dork and 3 of her friends were responsible for those...then I herded them to PIZZA!

My handsome Dr. Hubby impressed everyone with his balloon animal creations. He was a big hit! It really helped entertain the kids between party activities.

The first game we played was Pin The Tail On The Donkey. An awesome alternative would have been a Justin Bieber poster and red lipstick! Pin the Kiss On Bieber! We had several boys invited so I didn't think that would go over so well...lol.
Next we did a couple rounds of musical chairs to "Baby."

Since Justin's {yes, after this party I feel I have earned the right to just call him by his first name} CD is so HOT we played "Hot CD." The prizes I gave out for the games were purple grape scented bubbles, purple jump rope, purple bubble wand, purple sparkle shoe laces, and a purple handheld mini fan. All from the Dollar Tree except the bubble wand...all for $1 each!

A great group of kiddos. We had 12 kindergarteners, 3 preschoolers, and 4 teenagers! Wow!

There are no Justin Bieber cake kits available at this time. We had Walmart use purple, lavendar, and black icing with music notes. Ebay has lots of edible cake images for Justin Bieber parties. Just be sure to order early...shipping for overnight was gonna be $19!

After the kids were loaded with sugar from the cake and ice cream, we pulled up the pinata! This pinata is a pull-string! No wild and crazy kids swinging a stick! Only one string opens it! The kids take turns pulling one off. Fun!

We ended the party with present time! She was a very spoiled girl. Each kid took home their bag of candy, a sheet of Justin Bieber stickers, and a Justin Bieber coloring sheet.
Now I need to start planning a huge Sweet Sixteen for September!

All Tinked Out

On Sunday we celebrated Cutie's 5th birthday with a Tinkerbell party!

The littles were very excited. Manga Dork was playing the role of "cool teen" and was unable to enjoy herself. She sat texting on her cell phone in her coat.

Cutie was excited when her "boyfriend" showed up. OMG...this little boy is so cute and sweet you could just eat him. Adorable. She refers to him as her "boyfriend" like they are teenagers. It is precious.

We played musical chairs. We were all a little burnt out on "Baby" by Justin Beiber by the end of the party.

Cutie couldn't quit giggling while blindfolded for pin the tail on the donkey.

A really cute group of kiddos.

Last year Cutie hid under the table when we sang Happy Birthday to her. This year she was all smiles.

She closed her eyes and made a wish...

and then she blew out her candle! She clapped her hands and bounced up and down. It made me tear up how much she was enjoying herself.

During present time Cutie opened the present from her "boyfriend." She loved it so much she threw it down and attacked him with a hug and kiss on the cheek. She is so rough. Wild Child is holding her iPod videoing the "attack."
Now only 5 weeks til Wild Child's party...

My Baby Is What!?

Happy

5th Birthday!

Cutie Patootie!

You made "4" look adorable.
You bring so many giggles to our family. You keep us entertained with your antics.

I can't believe you still put your "bappy" in your mouth.
I love how you add an "okay" with a southern drawl to the end of EVERY question.
I love how you say "awesome" when you think something is great.
I love how you talk about your "boyfriend" like you are a teenager.
I love your hugs.
Have a great year being "5."

Thirty-six {OMG that's closer to 40 than 30}

Here's how my 36th birthday was celebrated...

I started off the day eating cold pizza {my fave breakfast} in front of the laptop. I loved reading all the birthday wishes on my blog, scrapbook message board, and facebook! I felt REALLY popular.

At 11:30AM I had to go pick Cutie up at preschool. We went to Dr. Hubby's office and while talking to him I almost burst into tears. I'm not sure why!? Then we went to the library to pick up some books...I had to wait outside a minute to compose myself...I was in tears again. Weird?!
Next stop was the grocery store. Cutie became impatient waiting for me to let the tears "pass" in the truck. Before going home we stopped and picked up chinese for lunch and dinner.

All afternoon my emotions were in hyperdrive and I went from one mood to another. It was bizarre. I felt extreme excitement and anxiety all at the same time. I was SO hyper! Finally by evening it settled down. My MIL came and got the 3 girls to spend time with at her home. I took a shower.

Dr. Hubby came home. He said my emotional issues were probably from the accident. He said I have been freakishly cool with the whole thing and it was just "catching up with me." He said we were going to go down and visit his dad {who is on the mend from chronic pneumonia}. Turns out I walked in on this...

I was so surprised! I am usually the one in the family that does this for everyone else! I am so glad my relationship with my inlaws has been mended. I felt loved. My MIL is blond so my candles were 35 + 1...the 1 was a customized 4...she cracks me up!

The day ended with one of the BEST family photos we have EVER had taken! Now if only I hadn't been in my pjs with wet hair...lol. It's gonna be a good year!

My Birthday Is Here!

This is what my sweet Dr. Hubby gave me for my birthday. I LOVE it. It has 20 clear and 40 jet black swarvoski crystals. I {heart} swarvoski! The sparkle from this watch caught my eye and I had to try it on a couple weeks ago while we were shopping. He went back and purchased it for me.
He also gave me a cute card about cuddling. The envelope was addressed:
To my darling, exciteable, beautiful, wonderful, sexy, considerate, hard working, passionate, forgiving, motherly, and rambunctious wife
I loved all those adjectives. They made me smile and giggle. They meant more than all the sparkly swarvoski crystals in the world.
I am a lucky girl.

Proof That Manga Dork Is Not The Only One Getting Older

Well after I slept in til the extremely late hour of 8:06 {I tried to knock myself back out but it didn't work}...

we headed to the Charleston Town Center. Two levels of retail therapy yumminess! We had chinese for lunch to build up our energy.

The girls were ready to have F.U.N.! I had to do alot of sitting because of my creaky old back. 9 days til Wild Child's cast comes off! Hallelujah!

It was fun watching the outside screen while they posed in the photo booth.

I love these 2 girls. We have laughed so hard. I offered to let them roam the mall alone, but they wanted me to stay with them...made me feel VERY good.

Well, hello Mr. Beiber...do you have BEIBER FEVER? He just wants to make U SMILE! Do you have SOMEBODY TO LOVE? He can't help he is so EENIE MEENIE! mwhahahaha!
One bonus to this trip is that we actually found Manga Dork's homecoming dress! Love the lime green socks!

For dinner we took a detour from WV to "Texas." YUM!

It has been so much fun spending time with this crazy teen. The mother/daughter time is priceless...although we did work Dr. Hubby's credit card pretty hard. OSU beat Miami! WooHoo!

We ended the evening with a dunk in the pool and a movie in our room.
These 2 teens are such hard partiers...believe it or not they were SNORING before the end of the movie! This creaky old 35 year old who is not a night owl WAS THE LAST ONE STANDING! Wimps! Maybe I not getting too elderly...
Happy 15th Birthday Manga Dork! I luv ya!
