You've Never Had It So Random {MIA Edition}

Boy I can't believe it has been 10 days since my last post! I think that may be a record for me...lol. Here's a little of what I have been up to lately...

The kiddos have been enjoying summer! We bought a new slip and slide!

Wild Child has been driving me nuts with her mosquito bites. She keeps digging them into the blood...scratching off the scab...she's a bloody polka dotted mess. I threatened her with a trip to the ER with shots involved and she is finally letting them heal.

Dr. Hubby bought a new toy. A 1974 MG Midget. Riding in it is FUN, but it makes me feel FAT! lol

I made Julie's CHERRY PIE SALAD twice. Once for home and then again for Dr. Hubby's family reunion. YUM! Get the recipe HERE and prepare to fall in love with Julie and her blog.
Speaking of the reunion...we rode our 4wheelers to it and on the way back to my inlaws' home we got caught in a thunder storm. We were drenched...water drained from our clothes as we got off the 4wheelers...it was a blast!

Wild Child played her last tball game. We all wore matching team shirts to cheer her on this season!

After the game we ran into the WHS alumni parade. It kicks off alumni weekend in our little town. The 2 little ones ran around giggling and collecting candy thrown from the cars.
While getting new brakes on the Escalade I took the 3 girls to see TOY STORY 3. It was so good. Definitely take your kiddos to see it. I love hearing the little people giggles during a movie in the theater. The Disney Store has $5 plush TOY STORY 3 toys...we picked up Buttercup the Unicorn and Mr. Prickle Pants.
I visited my mom and dad for 4 days. I got to go shopping with my BFF Ruth and her sister. There are some great sales out there! Victoria Secret has Heavenly Flowers perfume at 75% off! The bottle I paid $48 for is now $12! I got me another one...
Hope all is well with you! I am off to read your blogs...

New Experiences

Yesterday evening Wild Child played in her first tball game.

She looked so cute in her little uniform. She is the only girl on the team and is easy to spot with a big white bow {with special baseball ribbon} popping out the back of her hat.

She didn't know what to think of all the people and the other team and the cheering. A tball game is one of the most entertaining events I have been to in awhile. One kid ran the bases backwards and then one boy decided to make "dirt angels" while playing the field...lol. Wild Child lost her helmet while running the bases...she just turned around, picked it up, and put it back on...then continued around the bases. Priceless!

Today Wild Child and I attended kindergarten orientation. She was SO excited to go to "Manga Dork's BIG school." We met the teachers, saw the classrooms, played on the playground, ate lunch in the cafeteria, and...

WE GOT TO RIDE ON A SCHOOL BUS! DisneyWorld should definitely add this to their rides! Those kids were SO excited they were bouncing up and down.
Lots of new experiences...she is growing up way too fast.

Celebrating the Arts

This past weekend I participated in an online crop at Scrap Sisters Studio. This layout was for a color challenge. I had the perfect paper pack from Stampin' Up!

This card was for a quilting challenge. I am going to give it to my mom for Mother's Day! She loves to quilt.

I got this cute pillow {Walmart} for my shaggy chair in the schoolhouse. Love the blingy message!

Wild Child preformed at her preschool show last night. It was a wild day yesterday. My mom had 6 different "preventative" yearly tests ran...MIL did the preschool run and got the kids to the show that evening....our butts hit the seats in the nick of time.

She was the color green. After the show we whisked her off to her very first tball practice. She is the only girl on the team. She is also "that kid whose father sponsors the team and his name is on the front of the tshirts." LOL.
Hope your week got off to a great start!

A New Interest...Addiction...Obsession...Call It What You Want

While in New Orleans it was impossible not to catch the Saints Spirit! (Still kicking ourselves for not going to that game!)

Manga Dork was the first victim...and then Dr. Hubby and I followed. Thinking it would "wear off" after we returned home, I soon found myself googling NFL...Superbowl...Saints. This sports thing is FUN! I am enjoying sports! Duck! Sorry...I was just preparing for the flying pigs! LOL!

WARNING...it is highly contagious...here's proof...

Even vampires are susceptible!

Who is your fave team (any sport)?
