The summer and relaxation are over, school and the kindergarten have started...
During the Olympic Games - within the confines of the Ravellenic Games - I had handknitted a scarf. I had learnt a lot and I have enjoyed it as well. For example it turned out that I purl the purl, that is I purl more than it makes good. So I had to translate the pattern for my twisted knitting...
The pattern - Narnia Shawl from Lily Go - is a bliss: it was pleasure to knit and last but not least it is a true beauty.
And it is mine and it is privately owned by me. Anybody can admire my scarf on me and can envy me. Definitely envy me. I had scant two weeks (at least 4 hours a day) work in it. I have so much spare time just and alone in summer, on the shore of lake Balaton (while it is raining), without television or computer and with grandparental help - of course...

Vége a nyárnak és henyélésnek, elkezdődött az iskola, óvoda...

Az olimpia alatt - a Ravellenic Games keretében - kendőt kötöttem, kézzel. Sok mindent tanultam közben és még élveztem is. Például kiderült, hogy a fordított szemeket fordítottan kötöm. Vagyis jobban fordítom mint kellene. He-he. Így a mintát lefordítottam fordítottra (most azt hiszem befejezem...).
A minta Lily Go Narnia kendője, egy igazi gyönyörűség: öröm volt kötni és nem utolsó sorban egészen szépséges lett a végeredmény. Éppen elkészültem a záróünnepségre.
Ja, és ez az enyém, tehát a sajátom. Majd rajtam meg lehet csodálni és lehet irígykedni is. Csekély két heti (mondjuk naponta legalább 4 óra) munkám van benne. Ennyi szabad időm csak és kizárólag nyáron lehet, Balaton mellett (rossz időben), TV, számítógép nélkül és nagyanyai segítséggel...

Braid Scarf

 

My original intention was to make an universal pattern which can use as a shawlette in summer and as a scarf in winter. And can be knitted as one piece of course.
The new scarf is a crossbreending of the Chain Shoulderette and a triangular scarf. Its shape is a strange narrow halfcircle which was formed one pair of short row sections (Chain Shoulderette has three pair section), divided by a short straight part.
I think it turned out nicely. The pattern is easy to follow (just for me at this moment).

Az eredeti elképzelés szerint olyan izét szerettem volna kitalálni amit nyáron "kendőcske"-ként, télen pedig sálként funkcionálna. És persze egy darabban kötődik.
Ez az új kendő a Chain shoulderette és egy háromszögletű kendő keresztezése. A formája furcsa, elnyújtott félkör, amit egy pár rövidített sorokból álló "szűkítéssel" alakítottam ki (Chain shoulderette-nél három pár rövidített részt használtam), amit egy rövid egyenes szakasz tagol.
Szerintem egészen jó lett a próbálkozás. A minta könnyen követhető (per pillanat csak szerintem).

Wrap for myself

Made for me. It can be used as a cowl or a wrap.

This pattern basically a Möbius scarf. I select an elastic and decorative stitch pattern which both sides are similar but finally I blocked it hard so it isn't springy any more. I love it this way.

Vállmelegítő vagy kámzsa saját használatra.
Tulajdonképpen egy möbius sál. Kiválasztottam egy rugalmas és csini, mindkét oldalán azonos mintát, de végül olyan erősen tűztem ki, hogy minden ruganyosságát elvesztette. Imádom.

Scarf for Husband

This was his present for Christmas. I hope he will like it!

The pattern is like the camel scarf.

Butterfly - Modified Frost Flower lace

I simply love this pattern, which derives from the frost flower lace. Almost perfect - I want to modify around the single butterfly motif only.

I plan to knit this scarf several times, I am curious about how the same lace pattern looks like made from different weight yarns.

The first scarf - or stole the more - is knitted from a 5 ply extra fine merino yarn. The result is entirely satisfying: it is wonderfully soft and warm, and it's size made it suitable to wrap yourself nearly completely.

Egyszerűen imádom ezt a frost flower csipkeminta változatot. Szinte teljesen tökéletes -  csak a magányos lepke motívumoknál szeretnék egy kicsit finomítani rajta.

Terveim szerint ezt a sálat megkötöm többször is - nagyon kíváncsi vagyok, hogy ugyanaz a csipkeminta hogyan mutat különböző vastagságú fonalakból.

Az első sál - vagy inkább stóla - extra finom merinó gyapjúból készült. A végeredménnyel maradéktalanul elégedett vagyok: csodálatosan puha és meleg, a mérete pedig alkalmassá teszi, hogy az ember szinte teljesen beleburkolózzon.
