Parker and I were sitting at the computer looking at the adorable pictures of Miss Stella.
Parker: Mama, is it okay if you think that a baby that's not in your family is cuter than a baby that your own mom had?
Me: Ya, that's okay. Why, do you think Stella is cuter than Miles?
Parker: Almost.
The other day, Audrey and Parker were having this extremely typical argument:
Parker, at the tail end of another conversation: Mean either.
Audrey: It's not "mean either," Parkie. It's me neither.
Parker: Mean either?
Audrey: NO. ME. NEITHER.
Parker: Me neither?
Audrey: YES! (major hint of exasperation in her voice)
Poor Audrey; it must so hard being smarter than everyone else.

She is soooo smart!!!!How many 6 year olds would even consider that kind of correction. Hooray for Audrey for being who she is.
Love her

I can totally hear Auda say that! And such a cute photo of Parker - all hail fancy-pants cameras!
Smart and cute - sounds like a dangerous combination!
Is Parker 4?
hey sara,
yes, parker's four. he'll be five in april. and he's absolutely perfect. have i mentioned that? :)
ha! your kids are so funny. i always love your "quotes" posts!
ok, that is so cute. it must be tough being so smart!!!
btw- i love your encyclopedia. you are so clever! i hope you are making a book of it!
Parker is lucky that Audrey corrected him early in his life. My husband said "mean either" until AFTER we were married (because I hadn't noticed how he said it before), and I finally convinced him that it was "me neither." No joke. :) That boy is SO cute.
Poor Audrey.
We have the almost exact same "help" arguments between H & O. H has even been known to correct his grandmother for saying "bu-un" instead of "button". We are trying not to perpetuate Utah accents, but O has quite a strong one.
