Baseball Guys
The boys had awesome Fall baseball seasons this year. They both played on the Rangers: Miles in 10U and Parker in 14U. We loved Miles' coach so much. He is the grandpa of one of the boys and likes to call Miles "Toy Cannon."
Miles pitched, played catcher and first or second base. He had a great season! I don't have as many pictures of Parker playing because it is not as cute to take pictures of 13 year olds. He excelled on first base for most of the season.
Neal and his dad took the boys to one of the Texas Rangers' playoff games. I love this picture so much!

Baseball rules.
There was a week that Miles and I had a lot of time to ourselves. Audrey was at Girls' Camp and Neal and Parker were at Scout Camp, so we went out to the Frisco Rough Riders' game! They are a minor league team that plays nearby. We sat right behind home plate next to a bunch of MLB scouts. It was pretty cool!

Miles with his Rangers team. They had an incredible season!
Miles and Parker both played on their league All-Star teams and they did awesome! Miles' team won the tournament! Here he is with some of his fellow Rangers: Britten, Jack and Maddox.

Rangers Games
We purchased a five game set of season tickets from our new friends. The seats are great, and we are having a great time enjoying some games this spring! Here are some shots from some of the games.
We went to one of the games with our home teacher and his daughter, Max and Hanna, who are big Rangers fans. They are getting ready to move to California, and we will miss them so much!
Miles' friend, Benjamin, was at one of the games, too, and just a few rows away! So he went to sit with his buddy for a few innings.
Neal and Parker went to one game with our friend, Marc, and his son, Reed. Reed and Parker are carpool, school and cub scout buddies. They've been friends for years! They had a blast at the game, and were pretty wiped out by the end. Obviously. Off to school the next morning, though!
We have tickets for at least four more games before the season is over. We love the Rangers!

Sportses
The boys are full-swing in Sports mode again now that baseball is back on the calendar. During the winter off-season, the boys started karate and they completely love it. They are both gold belts, and it is becoming challenging to get them both to class twice a week, but we are attempting it for now. Miles was looking particularly tough the other day, especially in his new "sparring gear."
Parker is on the Angels, and was looking particularly FREEZING after a 30 degree practice a couple of weeks ago. Kids here have to be able to play in extreme cold and extreme heat. They are tough Texans!
Miles at his first game with the Tigers.
At Parker's first game, he played first base, his favorite position. When it was his turn at bat, he let the count go full and then hit an in-the-park home run! It was awesome and I'm sure he'll never forget that moment. Next at-bat, he did the exact same thing. This dude can play! My favorite part of both runs was watching him cross the plate. My not-very-expressive boy was completely thrilled and watching him experience that was so fun! I love baseball.

Fall Ball
Both of our boys are playing baseball during the Fall season. It is the only sport that has caught their attention so far, and we aren't complaining. They are both really talented and are having a lot of fun! Parker is on a team that he was invited to join, called The Smokin' Horns. They are named after the coach's competitive BBQ team, which is awesome. They don't have their uniforms yet, so when they do, more photos will be posted! Parker is playing first base most of the time, and he is doing great. Below, they were practicing on a really hot afternoon, sweating it out and working hard. Texas kids have to be really tough.
Miles is on the Giants this season. We are all making new friends and Miles is doing well, as usual. Getting big hits and making outs, which is exciting stuff for teeball! The Giants had their second game this morning. Miles was ready to go!
Here he is in his shades, getting his fielding assignment.
