Man Saves Two Different Babies from Building Window Falls on Two Separate Occasions

One thing is for sure, if you lived in Detroit in the 1930s and your baby jumped from a window, chances were that Mr. Joseph Figlock was going to be there to save the day!

In 1937, a baby fell from the 4th floor of a building, falling on a man who was passing below. One year later, exactly the same thing happened - another baby, another 4th floor window, same man. 

Street Sweeper Joseph Figlock was furbishing up an alley when a baby plopped down from a fourth-story window and struck him on the head and shoulders. Figlock and the baby were injured but not killed. But just like the man who was struck by lightningseven times, one year later, as Figlock was sweeping out another alley, two-year-old David Thomas fell from a fourth-story window and, you guessed it, landed on Figlock with the same results. (Source)

Baby Survives an 8-story Fall in His Mother's Arms After She Jumps to Her Death

In March 2013, a distraught Manhattan lawyer strapped her 10-month-old son to her chest and leaped to her death from an eighth-story window in Harlem — and the baby miraculously survived with little more than scratches.

Cynthia Wachenheim, 44, who left an incoherent 13-page suicide note castigating herself for being a bad mother, landed on her back after taking the fatal plunge. Baby Keston was in a harness. He bounced off his mom on impact and then rolled away fromher motionless arms.

Neighbor Steven Dominguez, 18, was walking to a grocery store with his mother, Adelina Dominguez, when he saw the woman fall. When he approached Wachenheim on the ground, he saw the baby crying on the sidewalk. (Source)

Woman Catches a Two-Year-Old Girl After a 10-Story Fall and Both Survive

In 2011, Wu Juping, a young mother from Hangzhou, a city in east China, saved the life of two-year-old Niu Fangyu, who fell from the 10th floor of a building, by catching the baby in her bare arms.

The accident happened while Niu's grandmother was running errands outside. The little girl woke up from her nap and her grandmother was nowhere to be found. She then climbed onto the windowsill, probably trying to find her.

A neighbor from the opposite building saw Niu's body hanging out of the window and a resident from the 9th floor tried to reach Niu by using a ladder, but failed.

Wu Juping rushed across the street just in time to catch Niu as she lost her grip on the windowsill.

The emergency room doctor ruled out injury to Niu's head or neck, but said that she may have suffered internal bleeding in her abdomen. The brave 32-year-old lady, who became a mother seven months ago, injured her arm.

Jack Ma, Chairman of Alibaba Group, the company where Wu works, also called Wu a "heroine" in his micro-blog, and the company declared that it would give Wu 200,000 yuan ($30,940) as an award for her good deed. (Source 1 | Source 2)

Baby's Miraculous Rescue after a Fall from a Skyscraper Caught on Camera

In 2013, a two-year-old girl fell from the fifth-floor window of her home in east China's Zhejiang Province, but luckily she was saved by a group of motorcycle couriers who noticed her on the window's ledge mere moments before she plummeted.

Five express mail carriers were taking a morning break in the Geshuiyang village of Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province, when they heard the crying of a little girl who was sitting on a fifth-floor window ledge.

It is believed the young girl had woken from a sleep and climbed out onto the window sill still disorientated.

The couriers rushed over and stood under the window. Just as they started to discuss how to save the girl, she fell. Fortunately the men were there to catch her and save her life.

As seen in surveillance footage, the men managed to cushion the fall.

Although the girl does hit the ground after slipping through the men's hands, the impact was significantly reduced and the girl was able to stand just after the incident.

Toddler Survives After Falling 20 Feet Out of a Window

In July 1023, 23-month-old Leo Fernando escaped a 20-foot fall out of a first floor window onto concrete with no broken bones, being left with just a bruise and a scratch on his knee.

Nurses said that the boy suffered just minor injuries because he didn't stiffen his body when he fell.

Leo had been playing with his elder brother Jayhan, three, on their parents' bed when he fell through the open first floor window. His father, Antony, 34, who was also sitting on the bed, made a desperate grab for him and screamed as he watched his tiny son lose his grip on the window frame and fall to the concrete below. (Source)

Toddler Falls 80 Feet and Bounces into the Arms of a Doctor

In what was called a miracle by the French media, an 18-month-old infant survived an 80-foot fall from a sixth-floor apartment after being left unattended by his parents.

He had a stroke of luck when a passing doctor saw him fall and caught him before he hitthe ground. The doctor found no injuries but he was taken to the hospital for a check-up.

The toddler's fall was broken by the awning of Le Vincennes cafe – which was only in place because a mechanism had jammed and stopped it from being lowered. 

A witness living in a building opposite the apartment said that he saw the baby playing by the window with a girl a few years older. They were coming and going from the window, he said, and he had a feeling that something bad might happen.

Baby Girl Survives a 30-Meter Fall from a Cable Car Over the Swiss Alps which Kills Her Parents

A baby survived a 100-foot fall from a cable car – which killed her parents – by landing in a tree.

Rescuers heard murmurings in bushes and found the one-year-old in a baby carrier rucksack. The accident killed both her parents, but the one-year-old orphan managed to escape death.

The child's mother, 31, and father, 38, took the cable car, which was intended for freight use, to descend 2,700 ft up the Baerlaui Alp, Switzerland during a trek. Suddenly, just after starting, there was a sudden lurch which tipped all three out onto the rocks nearly 100 feet below. 

Mother and father died instantly from head wounds, but rescuers heard whimpering from a rucksack and it was the baby, who was severely hurt but alive. The rucksack was said to have cushioned the fall.

Authorities said that the man, a Swiss native who lived with his Canadian wife abroad, had returned with his family for a holiday in the region. (Source)

Toddler Survives a Three-Story Fall by Landing on His Feet

In March 2013, a four-year-old boy from Colorado survived a three-story fall, miraculously landing on his feet. Dylan Hayes fell out of the window of his Auroraapartment while his mother was shampooing her carpets. She had moved her couch to the wall when Dylan climbed on it to talk through the windows to the downstairs neighbors.

Dylan fell out of the third story window, did two somersaults in the air, and landed on the rock below on his feet. The screen he broke through suffered more damage than he did. He was hospitalized for 20 hours, wearing a neck brace as a precaution, but he was released with barely a scratch.

The mother has since moved out of her apartment to live with a relative and is looking for a new home -- on the first floor. (Source)

7-month-old Boy Survives a 40-Foot Fall After Being Thrown Off a Bridge

In 2012, a seven-month-old baby who was flung 40 feet down the Indira Gandhi railway from a bridge in Pimpri by his inebriated father after a quarrel with his wife miraculously survived the fall. The baby fell on a patch of thick grass between two railway tracks, cushioning his fall.

People who witnessed the quarrel and saw the man, Yuvraj Anil Deshmukh, throw the baby off the bridge thrashed him, and the police had a hard time rescuing him from their grip to arrest him.

Little girl Catches a Newborn Baby Who was Dropped from a Second-Story Window During a Fire

This little Georgia girl was hailed a hero for catching a baby who was dropped from a second-story apartment window during a fire. Zna Gresham, just ten years of age, caught the tiny newborn as she plunged 20 feet to the ground.

The infant was one of three kids who were launched out of the Atlanta block's window by a desperate mom whose home was quickly being overcome with flames. Her two other children, ages two and three, hit the ground and sustained minor injuries.

According to firefighters, the mom had no other option but to drop her children. Thankfully, everyone survived. (Source)

A woman in Pakistan has given birth to six healthy babies after attending a private medical clinic for a routine check-up.

The woman gave birth to four girls and two boys at the hospital in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Doctors said the sextuplets and their mother, who has not been named, were healthy and in a stable condition after their birth on Friday.

However, the family, from the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan were later moved to the Combined Military Hospital in Bannu for further observation.

Earlier this month, another mother gave birth to quadruplets in the Bhakkar district of Punjab, India.

In October a 35-year-old woman gave birth to quintuplets - three girls and two boys -  at Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar.

That same month another woman had three boys and a girl in the Mianwalki district of Punjab.

MIRACLE STORIES - Prayer Healed Me From Hepatitis C

In the spring of 2004 I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. After doing research, the only way I could have acquired this disease is when I was in the Navy 30 years before. I had a regiment of inoculations before going overseas to Japan where I was to be stationed. They used a gun that shoots the medicine into your body. This gun spreads fine particles of blood and is used over and over. I picked up the virus then and it was dormant in my body till 2004.

I had 2 specialists confirm the diagnosis and I was set up for a liver biopsy to find out the extent of damage to my liver since this is an incurable liver disease. The Sunday before the biopsy, I was in my small group class at church and told them of my diagnosis and asked them to pray for me. The group leader sat a chair in front of the class and all the men in the class came up and laid their hands on me and prayed over me.

During the prayers I felt such a comfort come over me and I knew the Lord was there…I could feel Him. The following Monday, the Senior Pastor called me and asked me if I could come to his office because he wanted to have the Elders of the church and himself pray over me. I agreed and went to his office the next day. We went into the Pastors conference room with all the Deacons and Elders of the church and talked for about 30 minutes. Then the Pastor anointed me with oil and all the Deacons, the Pastor and the Elders of the church all laid their hands on me and the pastor prayed over me. During this, I felt the Spirit of the Lord in an overwhelming fashion, come into me and cleanse my body.

After the prayer was over I was in tears and told everyone in the room about the feeling I had. Several minutes later I left and went home. On Wednesday I went into the gastro-enterologist office and had my liver biopsy. When the results came back the Doctor told me that he had never seen someone healed from Hepatitis C but that was the case. He told me that I definitely had the disease but now I didn’t.  When he asked me what I had done, I proceeded to tell him about what happened at my church and about Jesus Christ my Savior. I have made a promise to the Lord that who ever will listen, I will tell the story of His power and mercy. How the Lord healed me from this incurable disease and will give Him all the glory.  I have had my blood tested every 6 months since this happened and I am fine…..no, I am more than fine, I am BLESSED. To God be the Glory!!!!

MIRACLE STORIES - Car Spins Out of Control Across Freeway

I’m a single mother of two–a boy and a girl about one year apart. A few years ago, back in the Spring of 2001, I was driving home from the park where we had my son’s 2nd birthday  celebration.  My kids were in the back seat of my 1989 white Toyota Corolla. I was driving on the 405 North freeway from the 2nd to the slow lane. As I was driving, I had decided to change lanes so I could drive a little bit faster.  I wanted to get home quickly because the kids were cranky and I was tired from the whole event.

When I was about to change lanes, on my right side I saw a gray Integra ( I believe ) that was going at the same pace as me and changing lanes at the same time. So I went back to my lane where I was going more slowly.  Suddenly my car jerked and started spinning. The steering wheel was out of control and I could not maneuver the car. All I was doing was holding on to my steering wheel.  I looked behind me and my kids were crying so loud, that I didn’t know what to do. I told them everything well be okay, and if this was our one last day of each other, that it was going to be okay.

The car was still spinning. I looked to my front window and all I can remember was my car heading to the edge of the divider, where it was going out of the freeway. When I saw where we were heading to, I closed my eyes, and prayed to God, asking Him this one last time take care of us, to help us right now at this moment. Everything was happening so fast that I couldn’t even think anymore. After I had closed my eyes and prayed for help, my car stopped.

I opened my eyes and I looked around the area and at my kids in the back, and I cried for joy. We were all alive in the middle of the freeway. All cars stopped and just waited to see if anyone was hurt. Soon enough, three people came up to me and asked if everyone was okay, and all I said was “can I please use your phone?”  They checked on my kids, and smiled and hugged them that we were all okay.  Then a man came to me and handed me his phone and I called my dad to tell him that I had an accident.  He came and had someone tow my car.

I never believed that a miracle could happen and it’s given by GOD, but now I believe.  I am grateful my kids are alive with me to this day. I know now that I do have something to accomplish in this EARTH, if HE had given me another chance to live.

MIRACLE STORIES - A Helping Hand Saved Me From Raging Sea

In Malta, the small island I come from, summers are usually hot and dry and the month of June 2007 was no exception.  My friend phoned me up suggesting we head down to the beach for a swim to relax and cool down a bit.  I wasn’t really in the mood for that but on second thought I decided to follow.  Little did I know what was in store for me!!!

On arrival at the sandy beach, my friend literally jumped into the water, but I decided to sunbathe a little bit before getting into the sea.  She started calling me to join her, but I realized that the wind was slightly increasing its speed and this was creating waves, so I was very cautious. I just sat down in the shallow water instead of heading out to the deeper water.

Suddenly, a wave that was about half a meter in height rocked me back and forth on the spot. I never trust the sea, so alarmed, I decided to go back onshore.  That was the worst idea I could have thought of, because on standing up, a higher wave hurdled in and pulled me out at sea.

Now the waves were very high, about 2 meters and my survival instinct took over and I started struggling to swim ashore.  Instead of swimming, towards the shore, the high waves dragged me out and from the point I was at I couldn’t see land nor anyone around.  I think I must have been dragged about a mile out at sea, and this was just the beginning.

The waves were now of enormous height and the wind increasing rapidly and panic overtook  me.  I am a good swimmer as I used to train aquatic sports and I also have Life Saving At Sea Courses and a member of the St. John Ambulance Brigade so, I was supposed to be trained. But at that moment in time, anything I knew felt useless.

I started crying, shouting and panicking…I felt I was going to die and it seemed to me a terrible death.  At that very moment, something took over and I sort of ‘regained my senses.’ I was full of courage and decided that I couldn’t give up on my life now.  So I started counting the waves and calculating their speed.  The sea must have been force 8 or 9.  At first I didn’t manage and the sea was pulling me out again, so I started to dive into the waves and using my strength towards the current by diving.

Somehow, my strategy was working and after a grueling 45 minutes out at sea, I made it to the shore. On swimming in, I could hear people shouting and an ambulance was being called.  To this day, I can’t figure out how I managed to arrive back on land.  My strength was gone, my mind blanked out, so for sure it must have been the hand of God.  At least, that’s what the witnesses told me.

That day, in the same rough sea and at the same beach, a life was lost.  So I must have been either lucky or had an extra helping hand from up above.  You decide, I think I already know.

MIRACLE STORIES - Miracle of Divine Intercession Saves Baby Girl

After I left my abusive husband, I moved back to my hometown. I had no idea what I was going to do and needed to be sure my family and I were safe. I was also concerned about my children’s health, especially my baby who was just 9 months old.  She tends to become sick without showing any real symptoms.

After we arrived back to my hometown, something was amiss with here. I kept taking her to doctors and they kept telling me nothing was wrong. I woke up one Sunday morning, only to feel the coldest cold I have ever felt. Then I saw an angel standing to my right and was told to “leave *the name of my hometown.*”  His voice was so authoritative and so magnificent, I dared not disobey. I immediately started packing and since the next train was 3 days away, I had made plans to call some churches in case I need help en route to my destination.

When we arrived at a stop for an hour layover, I took my baby to the nearest walk in clinic. The doctor examined her and explained to me, she was only there covering for another doctor and that she thinks my daughter may have double phemunia. She also explained to me that normally they would send for xrays first then call the patient if any thing was wrong.  But in this case, she explained, she felt my daughter was very sick. She did give me a prescription for my daughter. I called a minister and explained my situation and they allowed me to stay with them for a few weeks.

A few days later, I did receive a call from the doctor’s office after they received the x-rays back. It turned out that my baby did in fact have double pneumonia and it was the type that could not be heard with just a stethoscope. My baby now is 21 and engaged. I thank god for the miracle of divine intercession especially for sparing my daughter’s life.
