Home Is Where Your Heart Is

Over our lives, many of us move to different cities, states, or even countries. This is true for my family as we've lived all over the world. Although every new location is different, there is always one thing that remains the same…Home is where your heart is.  This heartfelt card was made to remind us of just that.

I created it by layering several different shapes of card stock and then added the beautiful sentiment on front. I decorated the sentiment with an Eyelet Outlet Wreath Brad and an adorable white Cat Brad which makes the scene all the more welcoming.

The outer edges of the sentiment have orange Jewel Bling for sparkle.

The outside corners of the card have round Pearl Brads in silver and navy blue and the three cardstock wreaths in the middle each have an orange Jewel Bling to bring the sparkle throughout the card.

Wherever life brings you and whatever travels are in your future always remember that home is where your heart is.

Winter Wonderland Town Gift Box

So, Christmas is over, but the holiday cheer is still flowing! I’m ready for some SNOW!!! For this week's creation for Eyelet Outlet, I wanted to make something extra special that can be used anytime of the year. I made this with winter and snow in mind.

As you can see, it is an adorable gift box with a beautiful candy cane and snowflake embossed paper ribbon on top. The front of the box is adorned with three white snowflake brads that match perfectly to the paper I used to make the box.

Once you lift off the lid of the present, two of the sides fall down to reveal a serene 3-D Winter Wonderland Town that awaits you inside.

One side of the box has a beautiful sentiment accented by four large clear bumpy jewel bling

The other side has a pocket that has a blank embossed square of paper to write your special message.

If you look through the wintery trees in the forest, you will see a cozy cabin surrounded by snowdrifts. The roof has a wreath brad on top where I added some red jewel bling to look like holly berries.

It wouldn’t be a Winter Wonderland Town if it wasn’t snowing. The snowflakes are the clear jewel bling mixed with several of the white glitter enamel dots.

When it snows, you MUST make a snowman so our Winter Wonderland town has its very own snowman brad that welcomes all guests that come to visit.

The Winter Wonderland town holds another special surprise!  Turn off the lights and our cozy cabin is all lit up!!

This Winter Wonderland town gift box was so fun to make, and it is so versatile. I can make it for any season, any occasion, any event, and I know that Eyelet outlet will always have all the extra embellishments I will need to make it extra special.

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Christmas Advent Envelopes

A fun Christmas season tradition of ours is to have an Advent calendar! This year, I thought it would be fun to have an envelope countdown! Each day counting down to Christmas you get to open an envelope! You could be treated to a gift card for a coffee or treat or it could be a "coupon" for a fun, family outing!

In this envelope, you could add a "coupon" to go caroling to a nursing home or in your neighborhood. Another idea would be to drive through a neighborhood that has a lot of holiday lights on display. Crank up the Christmas music and enjoy hot cocoa as you drive around!

Oh, I had so much fun creating this envelope! This one would be perfect for a "coupon" to visit a Christmas tree farm to select your tree! I hope you are inspired to create your own countdown envelopes to make time for memory making this holiday season! Extra tip: I would add my date numbers after planning which night is best for what treat or event!

Hear the Quiet

I don’t know about you, but I start making my Christmas cards in June.  I love to design and create an individual and unique card for each and every one on my list and let me tell you, it’s a pretty big list.  But with all the fun and inspiring accessories available from Eyelet Outlet, I have no problem doing just that!

This simple, yet beautiful card measures 6.5” x 5”. I’m not one that sticks to the conventional card sizing guidelines. I let the card be the size it turns out to be and then make an envelope that will fit it. 😊

To create this peaceful winter scene, I sat a Cardinal brad and a Cardinal Profile brad upon a tree branch that hovers over three Pine Tree brads with added snow. The wallpaper is adorned with 4mm Clear Jewels to give it that extra holiday sparkle. The final touch is the festive Wreath brad hung above the windowsill.

Pictures with Santa

I've got a trivia question for you today.  What was the name of the department store in the movie, "A Christmas Story?"  It was Higbees! I love that scene as it reminds me of my brother and I visiting Santa at the Boston Store in Erie, Pennsylvania in the 60's. I created a Christmas card for you today that takes me back to that happy memory.

Eyelet Outlet's wide brick washi tape was the perfect background for my store front.  I also embellished the card with our gift brads, wreath, and stick on gems in green, clear, and red.  The star of the show, of course, is our Santa brad from the Santa and Mrs. Claus set.

I thought I'd sign off today with a different picture of myself than you're used to seeing.  Shhhh....don't tell my brother!

The Eyelet Outlet Caroler Brads are out on the town, singing their joyful holiday song!

It's a beautiful night under a Star Night, Star Bright sky, with Sparkle White Glitter Tape snow glistening on the pretty Penny Black Build-a-House diecut village. Accents of Brick Washi and Wood Washi are scattered throughout the homes, with scraps of tan, brown and white patterned paper adding variety. A Wreath Brad, some Snowy Trees and a friendly Snowman complete the design.

Silent Night, Holy Night

How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is given!

I enjoyed creating this Nativity card in honor of the Christmas season. I started with stamping and fussy cutting my stable and used the black glitter washi tape to the background. I added the Wreath brads on the posts. Next, I stamped, colored, and cut out the Holy family. I added purple beads to Mary's shawl from the purple pearl strip. Lastly, I focused on creating my card base, I used various blue inks to create a night time sky and added trees and coloring along the bottom. I finished off with using bling from the fancy long zig zag bling for glittering stars!

I hope you are making great progress on your Christmas crafts and greeting cards! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Here We Come A Caroling...

I am excited to share with you a Christmas Greeting Card today featuring the new adorable caroler brads!

I think these little happy carolers are so cute and festive! I started with Kraft cardstock to create a 5x7 card and distressed the edges using a dark green ink. I then began measuring the top of my card for placing my wreaths and banners. After placing the wreath brads, ribbon, banners with added jewel brads, I went to work on creating the center portion. I love the Christmas hymn, Joy To The World, so I added a portion of the sheet music for my middle and layered on to a fun Christmas floral patterned paper! I added my sentiment in dark green and embellished with Christmas carolers and snowflake bling jewels.

This was a fun card to create! I loved making the banner across the top! Here is your shopping list for Eyelet Outlet products used!

Magical Mountain Christmas Drive

Hi everyone. It's Janet back with another holiday card! I certainly have enjoyed breaking out the Christmas stash this month! It's been so hot that it makes it a pleasure to work on crisp winter cards. This time I've made a mini slimline card for your viewing pleasure!

Today I've brought you a cute mountain truck scene. This little red truck with a cheery wreath is driven by no other than Santa himself! He's loaded the truck bed with an ornament, tree, snowman and present! He's driving along a peppermint road with wintery glittered trees and majestic mountains. It even includes a Merry Christmas sentiment across the card. All of this is created by Eyelet Outlet brads, Washi Tape and bling!

This card was really quick to make when the background is almost all washi tape and EO brads and bling complete the scene. This particular truck stamp is from Art Impressions. It's called Christmas Truck Set. It's perfect to load up with your seasonal embellishments.

Sleigh Rides

I love the versatility of the Eyelet Outlet sleigh brads.  They pair with our Santa brads, prancing deer brads and today I've paired it with our horse brad for an old fashioned sleigh ride.

I've also used the wreath brad on the barn.  I love how this turned out and believe I'll made a few more soon so that I'm ready to send my Christmas cards on time this year!

We'd love to see how you've used the sleigh brad in your projects, so join us over at Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook Group!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

The signs of the season have begun at our house with a big uptick in the number of times UPS is showing up at the door with deliveries and I bet it's the same at your house! That happened to inspire a Christmas card this week.

I started with a basic stair step fold.  This one is from Anna's Window Frame Cards and is available in the Cricut image library.  I used a brick patterned digital paper on the back ground.  For the lights above the door, I added red, green, and clear stick on gems and  some clear swirl bling on the shrubbery. I embellished the door with an Eyelet Outlet wreath brad and used a tiny brass round brads for the door knob.  I found an image of some Amazon boxes on the internet and uploaded them to Cricut Design Space and used print-then-cut on those.

Now to get those Amazon boxes opened and those gifts wrapped!  Thanks for stopping by today and we'd love to see how you are using Eyelet Outlet products in your holiday projects!  Please share on our Eyelet Outlet Fans Page on Facebook!

Gingerbread House Gift Box

The weather has started turning cooler here in Central Texas, so it's easier to turn my attention to Christmas crafts than it was when we were still in the 90's.  Today I've got a great little gift box to show you that is loaded with awesome Eyelet Outlet embellishments!

This gable box is from the Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes image set. The roof has a slit in the center that slips over the handle of the box and lifts off to open which I thought was so clever.  Placing the brads on the box is super simple if done before actually assembling the box.

I thought the holiday red and green enamel dots were a great way to embellish the scallops on the roof, but any of our stick on gems would also be cool.

For snow around the base of the box I used a strip of silver glitter washi tape. I added a wreath brad to the door and some holly brads to the windows.  The star of the show though has to be Eyelet Outlet's brand new Gingerbread brads!  The set includes a little boy and a little girl gingerbread person!  I also added some more sweet touches - the peppermint candy brads, candy cane brad, and lollipop brad.  The roof seemed like a great opportunity for one of our prancing deer brads pulling Santa's sleigh brad!

See these and more holiday brads from Eyelet Outlet here!  Thanks for being with us today!

Death Before Decaf!

It's that wonderful time of year once again: by which I (Lauren) mean both the holiday season AND the winter Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop! Thus I decided to make some giftcard holders that combine my love of coffee, holiday cardmaking and Eyelet Outlet Coffee Brads and Coffee Stamps!

I made a very simple folder; it's just a piece of 3.5 x 8.5" kraft cardstock scored at the 2.5 and 6.5" point, to create a little pocket inside which can hold a giftcard OR a check, money, a little note, even some small photos. You could make these out of double sided patterned paper to save having to trim little panels to decorate the outside, but I always seem to have loads of little patterned paper off-cuts and this is a great way to use them up!

Once I'd covered the pocket, top flap and back panel with cardstock, it was time for the fun part: decorating! I covered a small scrap of white cardstock with Eyelet Outlet Merry Christmas Tape and diecut it into a heart which is slightly narrower than the top flap, but hangs down a bit over the pocket area. This hides the place where I secured seambinding to the front, but still leaves room for the bow that literally ties the whole thing together. I used my Stephanie Barnard dies to create the coffee cup out of lighter kraft and the lid and front panel from this fun argyle-inspired Christmas Pattern Washi. I added a green Paper Flower, anchored with a Wreath Brad, decorated with some tiny red Pearl Bling berries.

In the second version, I decided to get a bit more coffee-centric, so I stamped the coffee bean from our Coffee Stamp Set in an all-over pattern and used a brown Tombow with a water brush to add color. This time my diecut heart has vertical-oriented Red Tree Washi and the cup is adorned with Santa Tape flanked by Skinny Stripes. And to hold on the flowers, one those awesome beans from the Coffee Brad Set which also contains both red and white coffee cups!

Be sure to hop over and see all the amazing cards at the Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop, and leave a little love for Amy Tsuruta and the other Coffee Elves who are working so hard behind the scenes at these events! ♥♥♥
