Merry Christmas Trees

Christmas is right around the corner so we are featuring a fun and festive card that has a handmade Merry Christmas sign that will put anyone into the holiday spirit.

I started off by using two Christmas different Christmas themed washi tapes from Eyelet Outlet.  The top portion is made from the Tree Washi tape and the bottom portion is made from the Vertical Tree Washi tape  that was embossed with a holly berry pattern.

Each section was highlighted with cut strips of the Gold Washi tape.

The center section features five glittery Christmas colored brads with a hanging “Merry Christmas” sign.  The sign was made from Green Glitter Washi tape, the Merry Christmas Washi tape and book cased by two Holly Brads.   The sign is hanging by some brown yarn.

This was a fun and quick card to make. You don’t need much to make something special.

Give it a try!

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!

I am still creating Christmas cards for friends and family! And, since I love pretty paper and ribbons, thought it would be fun to try creating a card using a stack of presents!

I cut my card stock in various gift box sizes and covered with a variety of my favorite Eyelet Outlet washi tapes! I embellished with brads, bling, and ribbon! So cute, yet fun and easy! I hope you are inspired to try!

Christmas Advent Envelopes

A fun Christmas season tradition of ours is to have an Advent calendar! This year, I thought it would be fun to have an envelope countdown! Each day counting down to Christmas you get to open an envelope! You could be treated to a gift card for a coffee or treat or it could be a "coupon" for a fun, family outing!

In this envelope, you could add a "coupon" to go caroling to a nursing home or in your neighborhood. Another idea would be to drive through a neighborhood that has a lot of holiday lights on display. Crank up the Christmas music and enjoy hot cocoa as you drive around!

Oh, I had so much fun creating this envelope! This one would be perfect for a "coupon" to visit a Christmas tree farm to select your tree! I hope you are inspired to create your own countdown envelopes to make time for memory making this holiday season! Extra tip: I would add my date numbers after planning which night is best for what treat or event!

December Calendar and Bucket List!

Do you have your December Calendar and bucket list ready to go?

The holidays are always such a busy and joyful time for making memories! I decided to go ahead and set up my December calendar with a bucket list of memory making items we would like to do before Christmas!

I enjoyed adding the Eyelet Outlet brads and washi tapes I had on hand to create a fun layout! To create the matching Christmas pajamas, I covered the white t-shirt brad from the jeans and t-shirt brad collection with snowman washi and used an exacto knife to cut off the excess!

From visiting the Christmas Tree Farm to watching a Christmas movie, I hope you make time to make memories with those you love!  Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Sweet Christmas Wishes!

Christmas is right around the proverbial corner and I am embarking on creating my Christmas cards!

I started with tracing and cutting a candy cane image from cardstock then added my red and white stripe washi tape to create my own large "candy canes". I added candy cane stamps and candy cane brads to the right border and the Merry Christmas washi tape to the left border. Lastly I cut a tag, embellished with my sweet greeting and added ribbon and a holly brad! I hope this inspires you to begin your Christmas crafting!

Reindeer Greetings

This is a fun reindeer I constructed with a die cut from Spellbinders.
I added a bit of distress ink around the edges of the head then some
fun embellishments from Eyelet Outlet.

I used plaid papers to add to the rustic feel then added a "Merry
Christmas" washi tape to each side of the card. Of course I needed to pretty
up the reindeer and I added a poinsettia brad to her ear. The square gems next
to the Merry Christmas sentiment fit in perfect. Finally I added a black pearl
on her nose and she is ready for Santa's sleigh.

Christmas Gnomes Camping

This was fun holiday card I created with a camper decked out for the holidays.
I colored it with Copics and then added a lot of gnomes from our new
Christmas brad collection. The gnomes seems to be having a grand
time at their campground.

The tree are also brads in the new collection and I really like the
snow effect on them. There are clear gems on all
the snowflakes for a little sparkle.

Finally at the bottom you will notice some Merry Christmas Washi Tape
from the Eyelet Outlet. There are lots of fabulous Washi Tapes in the store
so  be sure to check them out when you have a moment.

Christmas in July: Ho Ho Ho Edition

There's something about making holiday cards in July that helps to offset the hot and humid temps, don't you think? Eyelet Outlet's Santa and Mrs. Claus Brads are happy to celebrate all year long, and on this card they've brought along one of their Deer friends, a Santa Hat Brad and Santa Washi, with a sentiment out of Merry Christmas Tape.

Whether you're making cards for Christmas, Hanukkah, Back to School, Birthdays or "Just Because", Eyelet Outlet has all the brads, tapes, sequins, bling and paper flowers you could possibly want.

Magical Mountain Christmas Drive

Hi everyone. It's Janet back with another holiday card! I certainly have enjoyed breaking out the Christmas stash this month! It's been so hot that it makes it a pleasure to work on crisp winter cards. This time I've made a mini slimline card for your viewing pleasure!

Today I've brought you a cute mountain truck scene. This little red truck with a cheery wreath is driven by no other than Santa himself! He's loaded the truck bed with an ornament, tree, snowman and present! He's driving along a peppermint road with wintery glittered trees and majestic mountains. It even includes a Merry Christmas sentiment across the card. All of this is created by Eyelet Outlet brads, Washi Tape and bling!

This card was really quick to make when the background is almost all washi tape and EO brads and bling complete the scene. This particular truck stamp is from Art Impressions. It's called Christmas Truck Set. It's perfect to load up with your seasonal embellishments.

Ho Ho Ho with Some Washi Tape

Can you believe it? It's almost Christmas. WOW! I'm so excited, are you? But I couldn't let this pre-Christmas day go by without one more Christmas card for 2019.

The background is made entirely with Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape:

I attached the strips of Washi Tape to a piece of sturdy white cardstock; cut it with a die and then reassembled the pieces.

Poinsettia's are Pretty!

Good Thursday morning, crafters!  Just under two weeks until Christmas and yikes!  My Christmas cards are not in the mail yet!  They are ready, but just finishing up addressing them. Here's one of this years cards.

I love the way this stair step card shows off some of Eyelet Outlet's gorgeous holiday washi tape!  On this card I used the poinsettia tape on the sides and the Merry Christmas tape across the bottom.

Also on this card, I used Eyelet Outlet gold stick on pearls for the center of my poinsettia and accentuated the greenery behind the poinsettia with one of our great pine cone brads.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you'll follow the links in the post to find great holiday embellishments at Eyelet Outlet.

Until next week, keep on crafting!

Ornamental Merry Christmas

Did you see the big announcement earlier this week? Eyelet Outlet is having a sale - and today is the last day. You better hurry if you want to take advantage of the 20% off on any purchase of $20 or more. It's easy to do. Just go to the Eyelet Outlet online store and add $20 or more to your cart. Be sure to add the code - decsale - so you'll get the 20% off discount.

There are so many items to love at Eyelet Outlet. I'm sure you'll find enough to get the discount with no problem.

Here's a little inspiration. Can you tell how many Eyelet Outlet items I used on this card? Is it two? How about three? Okay I'll give you a hint - it's somewhere between 4 and 8.

Look closely!

I used 6 different Eyelet Outlet items on my card:

To create my oval sentiment, I adhered a piece of Merry Christmas Washi Tape to White cardstock and then punched it out with an oval punch.

Hip To Be Square

I (Lauren) like square cards. I'm even willing to pay the extra ounce of postage, to get that beautiful shape and a slightly larger canvas to decorate with Eyelet Outlet Brads, Bling, Washi Tape and Paper Flowers!

With the exception of the card base and diecut snowflakes, my first card is composed entirely of Eyelet Outlet goodies! The background panel is made of Checked Tape, inset with gorgeous new Cardinal Washi flanked with Skinny Xmas Tape. The center of the stacked snowflake (which includes a white Paper Floweris fancy new Snowflake Bling; I've even adorned my clear Swirl Bling with some smaller Snowflake Bling.

My second card features a commercial patterned paper, but I love the way I could add a bunch of different tapes right on top to customize that fun plaid! I've got more Checked TapeCardinal Washi and a different Skinny Xmas Tape, not to mention a cool scripty Merry Christmas TapePoinsettia Washi and a red dotty Skinny Tape; all of which is flanked by festive red Jewel Strips. I lined up my snowflake diecuts this time and topped them with a white Paper Flower and finally a beautiful Cardinal Profile Brad.

Wishing all of my American friends a very Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, and an Especially Nice Thursday to everybody else! ♥

still really realllllllllllllllllly
loves washi tape!

Welcome to the Claus' Igloo

You might not know this, but Santa and Mrs. Claus live in an igloo... or maybe, just maybe, the igloo is their second (vacation) home. In any case, it looks like Santa is welcoming us to his home.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Eyelet Outlet has some new products - just in time for your winter/Christmas crafting. I used some of them on today's card, as well as a few other Eyelet Outlet products.

One of the new items on my card is the Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape. It really is gorgeous tape, it just is shy when it comes to photography. 😉No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to get a good picture, due to all of the amazing glitter.
