Valentine Postage Collage

I just love the versatility of Eyelet Outlet products and was exited to create a wintery Valentine themed postage collage! In staying with a winter theme, I used the snowman couple brads as my focus and added white glitter washi tape for snow and a red enamel heart. Next, I stamped "you melt my heart" sentiment as well as some script, postage lines, and hearts.

I filled in my other postage stamp spaces with Happy Valentine's Day glitter washi, wintery glitter tall tree washi tape, and vintage washi tape! I added a few red rose brads to finish off my card!

And since I was having so much fun! I decided to decorate my envelope too! I added the skinny red and white washi tape and some Valentine themed stamps to finish off my project! I hope you enjoy! What a fun way to play with a variety of Eyelet Outlet washi tapes, brads and more!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Eyelet Outlet Glitter Tape and Winter Wildlife Brads are not JUST for Christmas, this is the perfect time to employ them for post-holiday thank you cards! The mama and baby Polar Bear Brads are right at the edge of the wide Glitter Tall Trees Tape, framed up by Glitter Gold Tape. The handsome Deer has paused near a Snowy Tree Brad in front of some gorgeous Glitter Winter Tape (like the Tall Trees Tape it's 1.25" wide... perfect for scenes!) framed by Glitter Blue.

Whether you need to make fast Thank You cards or just get moving on winter birthdays and Valentines, the Eyelet Outlet Online Store has all the embellishments you could wish for!

Hanging with my Gnomies!

These little Gnome brads were just too cute to resist!

I thought a fun wintery card would be a great way to use these adorable Gnome brads! I started with stamping and coloring my gnome girl and fussy cutting her out! I then added the glitter tall tree washi tape to the top with my parade of gnome brads! Aren't they the cutest little posse? I stamped the sentiment in the middle, cutting out the inside of the "O" to add a little peeking gnome! Lastly, I added a strip of glitter black washi to the bottom! So fun!

I hope you are enjoying a great start to the NEW YEAR and this winter season! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello Christmas Crafters and Card Makers! Here is a card I created with a postage stamp style image and fun Eyelet Outlet accessories!

I started with the Christmas postage stamp image and added some coloring to the background using alcohol markers. I then added some sparkle glitter for snow and embellished with the Snow Tree Brads. To create my background I stamped the sentiment in blue to coordinate with the border washi tape called "glitter tall tree washi tape wide" and added the most adorable little reindeer brads from the set Santa Deer Brads!

I hope you are making great progress on your Christmas crafts and greeting cards! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for your crafting needs!

A Walk in the Woods

As much as we enjoy seeing the leaves return in the spring, there is definitely something to be said for the loveliness of bare trees, where we can see the trunks and the branches... and any wildlife that might be passing... so clearly. In this case, the wild life consists of Eyelet Outlet Deer Brads, in a forest where a few Snowflake Brads are softly falling. There are also four styles of EO Washi on this A2 card: Wood TapeTwig TapeGlitter Copper and Glitter Tall Tree Tape.

The woods are created with Penny Black's Woodland Scene dies, which look wonderful with both pieces stacked together; but it turns out they look equally nice when used singly, as on this slimline version. The trees have been cut from cardstock to which neat strips of Sparkle White Glitter Tape have been applied, to make a sparkling snowy scene. All three styles of our Cardinal Brads (Cardinals, Female Cardinals and Profile Cardinals) stand out beautifully against the snowy trees and blue sky, while flurries of Red Snowflake Bling drift downwards.

There are plenty more birds and beasts, flora and fauna, in the Eyelet Outlet Store, you should probably go and check them out!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Have you started your Christmas shopping? These cute little shoppers have it all "wrapped" up!

I love Christmas shopping! And it looks like these cute shoppers are ready to go! In creating my slimline card, I started with my background using the "Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape", "Glitter Black Washi Tape, and black cardstock. I then stamped my VW bug and van on cardstock and colored in with markers! After fussy cutting them out, I embellished by adding the "Caroler Brads" as my drivers and the "Gift Box Brads" to the top of the VW van! Lastly, I added my sentiment in white.

Can't you just see these happy little gift givers spreading cheer! I love creating holiday cards! I hope you enjoyed this one! Be sure to visit Eyelet Outlet for your holiday card crafting needs!

'Twas the Week Before Christmas...

...so there's time for just one more Eyelet Outlet holiday card design! This one has a winter vibe (which seems appropriate on the second official day of that season!) featuring a double row of the beautiful Glitter Tall Trees Tape in the background, and an ornament bedecked with a Deer Brad, some Pine Trees and a couple of Snowflake Brads, dangling from a Jewel Strip hanger, with a small scattering of Snowflake Sequins.

Wishing you a warm and wonderful First Week of Winter!

It's in the Bag!

I (Lauren) love giving super-fancy presents to my friends and family for holidays and birthdays, but I definitely don't like paying fancy prices for giftwrap and bags; especially when I have lots of lovely Eyelet Outlet Bling and Washi Tape to make my gifts stand out!

For these gifts I wanted a really elegant winter and festive feeling, without embracing any particular holiday, so I went with lots of blue, silver and white. I used Glitter Winter Washi on my first bag, and surrounded it with Glitter Silver Star Tape plus Silver Foil Skinny Tape. My diecut snowflakes are topped with 1 1/2" Snowflake Bling and Bumpy Heart Bling and I've scattered some Blue Pearl Bling and Snowflake Sequins around for good measure. My second design features Glitter Tall Tree Tape surrounded by White Foil and Twig Tape

Whatever colors, themes and holidays you love, I bet there are Eyelet Outlet Brads, Bling, Tapes and Sequins to make your gifts as beautifully individual as you are! ♥

hopes you have a very
Happy New Year!

Making a Scene

All you need to make the *GOOD* kind of scene, in a cardmaking sense, is a judicious combination of Eyelet Outlet Brads and Glitter Tape... and ok... maybe a little bit of Bling, as well. Which is what I (Lauren) have used to make these two winter wonderland cards:

This Glitter Tall Tree Tape has the perfect colors, the perfect (wide) width and the perfect amount of glitter, of the variety which absolutely DOES NOT leave a sparkly trail wherever it goes. This I needed no more than a few torn paper mats and some Pine TreePrancing Deer and Snowflake Brads to make a perfectly peaceful winter scene.

I've used a second variety of Glitter Tree Tape on my second card, which I framed with Blue Marble Tape and some Fancy Pearl and Jewel Bling before attaching my Moose and Pine Tree Brads. I've bordered the vertical sheet music panel with some Glitter Star Tape and allowed my Snowflake Brads and a few of the tiny gems from the Pearl Bling to cascade down the front of the card.

I expect there are nearly endless combinations of Glitter Tape and Brads that would look beautiful on holiday --or even just winter-themed-- cards. I hope you'll be inspired to try your own variations!

appeared on xmas cards and tv shows!

A Magical Season

In cardmaking, I've always been inspired by someone or something.  It may be something I've seen in nature, something I've read, something heard/seen on TV, or even some colorful scrapbooking paper!  In this case, it is washi tape; specifically, Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape - Wide.

The first time I saw it, I was amazed that washi tape could be so magical!  Once put on paper, the forest scene with the snow-covered road, the sunrise, and the tall pine trees comes alive!

I sat down to make a card using the washi tape not knowing how I would use it.  One thing led to another and here's the result:

The Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape is nearly 1.25" tall, but I wanted to make the trees even taller to make it the feature on the card.  The way to accomplish that is to:

1.  Cut a strip of washi tape and place it on a piece of white paper cut the same width as the card.  Allow for about 4 inches in length although this will be trimmed down later.

2.  Cut a second strip of washi about an inch wider than the original strip.   Cut this strip in half --- the upper portion will be used to extend the trees and the lower portion will not be used at this time.  It's important this cut be accurate and it can be cut on a paper trimmer.

3.  Line up the strips carefully butting up each piece to each other matching the trees.   Avoid overlapping the strips.  Press the seam down to generate a smooth transition between the two strips.  Add another strip in the same manner.

To finish the card, the ends are cut to the width of the card and the top and bottom are cut to the size of the image.  Gray pearl strips are applied to frame out the picture.  In the completed picture above, the picture strip is popped up on matching green cardstock which is cut to desired size.  To complete the card,  Snowflake Bling (1.5") is applied either in full snowflakes or cut in pieces for further effect and a sentiment of choice is added.

This card was so much fun to create.  The washi tape, gray pearl strips, and snowflake bling are inspiring materials to use and led me in a direction that was unexpected!  Create some fun for yourself by taking time to go over to the Eyelet Outlet online shop and find some inspirational embellishments

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Eyelet Outlet has some new products - just in time for your winter/Christmas crafting. I used some of them on today's card, as well as a few other Eyelet Outlet products.

One of the new items on my card is the Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape. It really is gorgeous tape, it just is shy when it comes to photography. 😉No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to get a good picture, due to all of the amazing glitter.
