Nutcracker Card

I really like the Eyelet Outlet Nutcracker brads and today I paired one with an Eyelet Outlet gift brad and pine tree brad.

I used images from Cricut Design Space to create a little border for my card that mimics my brad grouping. I added some gold glitter washi tape on both sides of my border.

After embossing the blue cardstock with a snowflake embossing folder, I decided to bring the snowflake touch forward with a few snowflake brads.

Skating Snowman

Hello EO fans! It's suddenly very cold here and it made me think of snow and one of the things I have fun doing with my family - ice skating! In the Carolinas, there's only a few places to do that in the winter but I think a visit is due.

To make this card, I used a snowman die from Spellbinders and then decorated with many brads and some bling from the EO store. The background was embossed and the blue doily is from another die set in my stash. I had a lot of fun deciding what to put in this snowman's hands but settled on the wreath and ornament brads. I put a jaunty santa hat brad on his head to give him a little more personality. To bling it up a bit, I added two strips of clear jewel bling to the hat trim and pompom. His buttons are black pearl bling. The Snowman, Prancing Deer and Gift Brads were the final touches for this simple and fun card.

Happy Birthday

We all need birthday cards and I'm trying to make up a stack to have on hand so I'm not scrabbling last minute this year.  Here's one I made today.

The colorful "Happy Birthday" image is from the Cricut Design Space image library.  As soon as I saw it, I knew the Eyelet Outlet Birthday Candle brad would make a perfect "I" for this card!  I topped the candle brad with a flame cut from our gold glitter washi tape.  I added a few balloon brads, a gift brad, and a party hat to finish it off.

Well, I'm off to make the next birthday card for my stash!  See you next week!

Oh Christmas Tees!

This festive trio of holiday t-shirt cards is one of the fastest projects of the year, thanks to a colorful selection of Eyelet Outlet holiday themed brads and tapes. From top to bottom: A Gift Brad atop Santa Washi; a Candy Cane over Gingerbread Tape; a Santa Hat on Ho Ho Ho Washi; a green Peppermint Candy bedecks vertical Red Tree Tape; Santa himself (from our Santa and Mrs. Claus set) brightens up some Brick Washi; a Pine Tree atop Santa Hat Tape; the sweet vintage-inspired deer from our Santa and Deer set is on Holly Jolly Washi; a Snowy Tree adorns Winter Character Tape and finally Santa from the Santa and Deer set over Tree Washi. The backing panels are made of extra-wide Wood Tape, Music Note Washi and Brick Tape, set against super-sparkly Glitter Red Tape.

No matter what combination of Eyelet Outlet brads and tapes you choose, they are sure to add up to the happiest holiday cards of the season!

wishes you a very Merry Christmas!

Nutcracker Buckle Fold Card

It's never too early to start on the Christmas cards and today I have another buckle fold card for you.  I used some digital paper from Happy Heart Studio on Etsy.  The set is called "Nutcracker Magic."

This paper paired so beautifully with the Eyelet Outlet nutcracker brads that I used on the buckle of the card.  I also added a few gift brads and gold glitter washi tape.

There are several YouTube videos demonstrating how to make buckle fold cards with punches.  I made mine with my Cricut and if you're a Cricut crafter, I've shared a template for this type of card on my Cricut profile in Cricut Design Space.

Christmas Tree Season

Do you feel the spirit yet? Nothing says Christmas more than a decorated Christmas tree! In this 5 x 7 card, I began by die cutting the word tree die cut out of green cardstock. I layered a rectangle of white cardstock with the Ho Ho Let It Snow Washi Tape and cut it with a die. Then I layered Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape on another rectangle and glued the green tree to it. I fussy cut around the tree shape and attached it to the red washi tape background. This allows the die cut to stand out on the red background.

Next I cut the larger background shape in white cardstock and adhered the main images together. I chose to use a dark red premade 5 x 7 card base from Michaels. I thought it needed more to fill in some of the blank spots so I added a strip of Tree Washi Tape and a strip of gold metallic washi tape. That is one of the rolls in a set of Skinny Holiday Washi Tapes

It was time to decorate the tree so I added all the various brads and bling shown in the Shopping List below. I love how this turned out. The brads enhance the tree die cut but don't overwhelm it.

Pictures with Santa

I've got a trivia question for you today.  What was the name of the department store in the movie, "A Christmas Story?"  It was Higbees! I love that scene as it reminds me of my brother and I visiting Santa at the Boston Store in Erie, Pennsylvania in the 60's. I created a Christmas card for you today that takes me back to that happy memory.

Eyelet Outlet's wide brick washi tape was the perfect background for my store front.  I also embellished the card with our gift brads, wreath, and stick on gems in green, clear, and red.  The star of the show, of course, is our Santa brad from the Santa and Mrs. Claus set.

I thought I'd sign off today with a different picture of myself than you're used to seeing.  Shhhh....don't tell my brother!

Happy Birthday Cupcakes and Presents!

January is an important time at my house because it's my husband's birthday month. It's a tradition that his birthday card has a doxie dog on it. It began decades ago when our fur baby was a doxie. Our beloved Tigger has been gone a long time but he is always remember during Steve's birthday. Funny how traditions begin but that's the story behind ours.

I saw this ephemera piece in a paper pad I have in my stash and of course my head danced with all kinds of way to make this really special using Eyelet Outlet brads, washi tapes and bling. I love it and I think my husband will too! It's so easy to take something good and make it great with EO embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by today for inspiration and fun using Eyelet Outlet brads and embellishments. Have a great day!

Santa Clause Is Coming To Town!

Santa Clause is definitely coming to town! It's hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away. Are you making last minute Christmas cards? I know I am! This was a fun one to make with a quick little watercolor window scene. The Santa and Snowman Couple Brads fit perfectly into the scene. The Gift Brads are a perfect accent to the stamped sentiment. I used two washi tapes on this card also. First the background to the window is Glitter Star Washi Tape. I also used Sparkle White Glitter Washi Tape under the die cut border.

I think this one was a great last minute project and it'll be popped into the mail on Monday. I hope you all have a great countdown to Christmas and that your holiday meets all your expectations!

Busy Little Elf

There's been quite a lot of hustling and bustling around my house the past few days as I prepare for the holidays.  I could sure use a little elf helper like the one I've created in this card, couldn't you?

My little elf is wearing a cute little elf hat brad from the Eyelet Outlet Elf Brads set and holding his suspenders in place are a couple of small white enamel dots.  He's calling out "Happy Holidays" with one of our Holiday Sayings Bubble Brads as he hurries by with his wagon loaded with Eyelet Outlet Gift Brads and a Holiday Sock Monkey Brad.

We hope you've been finding fun and creative ways to use Eyelet Outlet products in your holiday projects.

Ugly Sweater Party

We call them "ugly" but there is something totally fun and festive about Holiday Sweaters, especially in card form; and Instant Holiday Sweater Awesomeness can be achieved just by adding Eyelet Outlet Holiday Brads!

These particular sweaters are fussy-cut from a Photoplay patterned paper, but this idea would work with any sweater-shaped stamps, dies or SVG files; or swap for t-shirts if you live in a warmer climate! I chose to make mini-slimline cards with three sweaters across, but again, you could make a grid with LOTS of sweaters, or go clean-and-simple and add just a single one to each card.

My first card features a Candy Cane Brad, a Holiday Light and a Pine Tree; the latter makes another appearance on card #2, along with a Snowflake and an (on sale!Ornament Brad.

The third card sports a Bell Brad (also on sale!) a handsome Snowman and one of this year's brand new styles a Gift Brad.

There are lots more fun holiday brad styles in the Eyelet Outlet store, why not hop over and take a peek!

Fun With Felt

I've been having quite a lot of fun with felt lately and have found new ways to incorporate Eyelet Outlet brads into my felt projects.  A few weeks ago and shared my a fall themed banner and today I've got some Christmas ornaments to show you.

I iron fusible webbing to the back of the felt that I use in the designs.  I peel off the backing and then cut the shapes with my Cricut Maker and rotary blade.  Once I have them layered like I want them on one of the round pieces of felt,  I cover the design with a damp pressing cloth and iron.  The fusible webbing adheres everything together perfectly.  Then I embellish the ornaments with Eyelet Outlet brads and sequins and blanket stitch the rounds together adding a little bit of batting before taking the last few stitches.

Eyelet Outlet sequins are amazing for this project and they are available in lots of shapes and colors.  I stitched round ones on the Christmas tree and wreath and the pretty star shaped ones surround the angel.

I used a round jeweled brad in the center of my snowflake.  There's dozens to choose from at Eyelet Outlet.

In addition to the multi-colored round sequins, I added a gold star brad to the top of the tree and a few of our brand new gift brads underneath.

I have several more ornament designs on the drawing board, so check back in and see how I'll be using even more Eyelet Outlet products on them!

Under the Tree

The new Eyelet Outlet Gift Brads are fairly awesome on their own, but of course the best place for them is under a Christmas Tree, right? So that's where I (Lauren) have put them.

In this case the tree --decorated with Green Pearl Bling and a Glitter Enamel Star-- is stamped and the room is composed of five different EO Washi varieties: Gold Script TapeHeart WashiWood TapeStar Gold Tape and Christmas Pattern Washi, to be precise. But maybe my favorite thing is the art on the wall: a Nutcracker Brad, matted on a little scrap of Wood Tape, diecut into a frame shape.

is already thinking about
Christmas decorations!

Christmas Gnome Cutie - New Gift Brads

Hello! It's Janet here with a cut little gnome for Christmas. He's making Gift Brads deliveries today since we all know it's going to be impossible to order gifts after October this year! Ha ha!

This card features the Glitter Winter Washi Tape as the background. A Holly Brad decorates the sentiment. A cute little green Heart Pastel Shaped Enamel Dot decorates his hat. The gnome and his cart is printable art I purchased from Pink Gem Designs. I fussy cut him before applying with foam tape.

In case you didn't notice, four new brad sets were issued this week. In addition to Gift Brads, we added Female Cardinal Brads, Cupcake Swirl Brads and Iced Coffee Brads. They are awesome additions to add to your stash and will help get your creativity going.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy Creating Everyone!

Let's make some Christmas memories!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here, sharing a card using some of the new brads that hit the store a few days ago. What's more fun than new brads?! These Gift Brads are super versatile and can be used for any occasion. I paired them with our Gold Skinny Washi Tape and Green Enamel Dots to create a simple Christmas card. This is another design that would be easy to mass-produce for all those on your Christmas card list!

I cut a standard size A2 top-folding card base and layering panel from white cardstock, along with layering panels from dark red cardstock and red dotted cardstock. I cut the white cardstock and red dotted cardstock layering panels at an angle, butted them together and applied a strip of Gold Skinny Washi Tape at the seam. I stamped the sentiment in red ink, added the Gift Brads, and adhered the panel to the dark red cardstock. The finishing touch on the front was the addition of several Green Enamel Dots

I cut the inside panel from white cardstock and embellished it with strips of the red dotted cardstock and gold washi tape, stamped the sentiment in red ink, and adhered the panel to dark red cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
