It's a family tradition...

Do you have family Christmas traditions?

With Christmas only days away, it is time to start our Christmas goodie baking! We love baking together and making memories as a family! I thought this 6x6 card would be a cute "invite" to come bake Christmas cookies! I started with the adorable gingerbread cookie image and colored her in using alcohol markers. I added the matte red enamel dot for her holly berry and green glitter enamel dots to her dress for additional sparkle! I created a banner for the bottom using the black glitter washi to border my "cookies" sentiment. Lastly I embellished with the adorable gingerbread brads!
I hope you have time this holiday season to make memories that will last a lifetime!

DIY Days

Good morning! This is Rebecca, and I’m happy to welcome you to the weekend!

A special welcome to anyone joining us in Orlando at Scrapbook Expo!

This morning I have a scrapbook page to share.

2017 was full of household projects at our house. I could just as easily titled this page, “ If It’s Not One Thing It’s Another,” or, “When It Rains It Pours.” It just seemed like we were always fixing, updating or replacing something.

I started out making a border with this wood plank washi, and then I noticed how nicely it lined up for a repeating pattern. And then I kept going and going......hey, why not use a whole roll?! I looooooove the pattern it made!

I posed with that Halloween display, but I swear we arrived at the store July 4. It certainly felt that way at the time.  Why do trips to home improvement stores take forever?!?!

Grab It Quick!

I have often been captivated by the people who use those "claw-grasping" machines to try to win a prize. I've never tried it myself, but I can't seem to pull my eyes away when someone else is playing... wondering if they will be able to maintain control of the prize or if it will slip from their grasp. Some of the prizes can be quite adorable - I always celebrate when a child wins the toy or stuffed animal of his/her dreams.

To create this card I used a variety of Eyelet Outlet brads for the toys and stuffed animals in the machine. And look... I think the Sock Monkey is going home with someone today.

I also used a red Matte Finish Enamel Dot for the handle and added three blue Enamel Dots to the card for some more fun.

I hope you have a CLAW-Some day, even if it isn't your birthday! And I know what would make it an even more CLAW-some day... if you'd head over to Eyelet Outlet and check out the great products there.

Washi 4 Ways

Good morning!  This is Rebecca, and I'm always happy to start the weekend with a "Welcome to Saturday" here on the blog!

This week I decided to get back to some page making.  The last page I made for the blog (my first project a few weeks ago) showed 5 ways to use bling strips. So today I thought I'd go with that theme and highlight another favorite with Washi 4 Ways.

1. First I used washi to make the border all around the page. I used a mix of wide, narrow and regular widths, but I also tore some of the pieces to create some irregular edges. I added dots and brads for embellishment clusters around the border, too.

Image may contain: 2 people, including Rebecca Delo, people smiling

2. I used a couple of the same tapes to make a coordinating matte for the picture.

No automatic alt text available.

3. I used a die to punch the "city" letters from strips of Foil Rainbow Washi

No automatic alt text available.

4. And I put these cameras on some scrap white paper, fussy cut the shapes, and then stacked them (with foam tape between the layers) to make a raised embellishment. The cameras on this tape have various sayings, and this one, "You smile. I smile.," went along with my title.

No automatic alt text available.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Game On!!

With a little time off from school and work,
whose game systems are going non stop?

My oldest two are having a kick back to a Just Dance Wii game.
It's rather sweet to watch these two, who are almost done with high school,
shake it down to hits from years past...
with a move or two.

Eyelet Outlet has a gamer move or two with Video Game brads and large enamel dots.
Show your love with a little Heart Jewel Bling.

Glitter washi tape bring a pop of color to any gamer's video dungeon!
The matte enamel brads add an interesting contrast to the glitter of the washi.

I hope you have a very pleasant President's Day holiday here in the US...
and at work/school around the globe.

Birthday Blossoms

Is it just me (Lauren) or do you think that nearly everybody would secretly like to have a teeny, tiny, non-embarrassing fuss made on or around their birthday? That's one of the reasons why I love to make special cards for my friends and family. It's a GREAT excuse to break out some of the many cool styles of Eyelet Outlet Flower Brads, as well.

On this card I've used Fresh Flower BrightsMini Stitched Flower Brads and... I've invented my very own NEW type of flower brad by adding Pink Enamel Dots to the centers of some suns from the Sun and Cloud Brad set, see?

I've scattered the different sized and shaped brads on top of some awfully pretty stamped flowers from a set called "Bold Blooms" by Pretty Pink Posh. Once I had all of the Flower Brads arranged, I went back and added even more texture and interest by giving some of the stamped flowers tiny Pearl Bling centers or Matte Enamel Dots. Finally I added a diecut sentiment with a tiny Mini Butterfly Brad to dot the "I" in "birthday".

I hope you are having a happy and colorful day, but if not... why not add some beautiful Flower Brads to your life! ♥

loves the fact that Flower Brads are allergy friendly
...and...
you NEVER have to weed them!

Create ART!

I just love it when "serendipity" comes into play and something fun and unexpected happens.  That's how I happened upon my card for today.  I have had a little stack of stamps that have never seen ink gathered together and wanted to use one of them for a card. I've been doing various projects all week and my desk has been a mess so before I could start something new I had to clear some space.  There were also a few stamps that needed cleaning stuck on the corner of my craft mat.  Somehow these bricks and this artist girl got stuck together and this idea fell into place!

The torn edges of the decorative washi tape frame the top and bottom of this brick graffiti wall, and the pink matte finish enamel dots echo the only other color in the focal image.  It is simple but fun design!

I hope you have plenty of opportunity to create ART this weekend! I plan to!  Have a great weekend!

Mascot Grad!

Graduation parties have been popping up here in Michigan.
Personalize a grad card with Eyelet Outlet's Graduation cap brads.
Simply add a cap to a stamped mascot image.

Go Dragons!!

Add glitter washi tape for added interest when you stagger it with regular washi.
Eyelet Outlet enamel dots add a bit of fun with out the shiny bling!

This weekend, we are setting up the Eyelet Outlet booth in

Come check out our brads and enamels....
and our inspiration boards!

Thanks for celebrating with us today.
Have a great 4th of the July Holiday this week!
