Turn That Frown

Happy Saturday! And welcome to anyone visiting us at CKC - Lancaster this weekend!

This is Rebecca, and today I’m coming to you from the road. I had the chance to get away and spend the weekend with family in my hometown, so we’re enjoying some R&R on the farm. Anyone else finding the summer is just flying by at too fast of a pace?! I need these couple of days in the country to sloooooow down.

I had to finish my card here on location, so I thought I’d take the picture with my favorite view :). You can’t frown on a night like this!

A Pink & Main alphabet set was used for the sentiment stamping.

Wherever you are, have a great weekend, and no frowns allowed!

It’s A Party

Happy Saturday! It’s time to welcome the weekend and anyone visiting the Scrapbook Expo Show in Duluth, GA. Please stop by our booth and say hello!

This is Rebecca, and today I made three coordinating invitation cards. I guess it’s time to find an excuse to host a party and wear a fancy dress!

The Merry Days

Happy Saturday! This is Rebecca, and this morning I’m continuing the Christmas in July theme. But this time I did it without using any Christmas themed products!

I used all Eyelet Outlet items to create the banner:
Bling Strips (to make the letters in “merry”)
Dog Bone Quicklets (on sale!)
Pearl Bling (multi size)

I didn’t set the eyelets. Instead, I just threaded them onto the twine and put the banner pieces on foam so it was the same height as the eyelets. I secured the bones in the corners with small glue dots. I love the result!

Staten Island Ferry

Happy Saturday! This is Rebecca, and today I am jumping on the Christmas in July bandwagon with a holiday season scrapbook page.

Lots of Eyelet Outlet items on this page:
City Washi Tape
Dot Washi Tape
New York Washi Tape (similar to the one I used)
Santa Washi Tape
Glitter Enamel Dots (I used Pink and White)
Heart Enamels - Vacation
Bling Sheet Pearls (I used Black; These are so tiny and awesome to sprinkle around the page!)
Ornament Brads
Holiday Light Brads

Hope you have a creative weekend ahead of you!

Christmas in (Almost) July

Happy Saturday AND last day of June! This is Rebecca, and I’m celebrating Christmas in July today....even though it’s technically not July until tomorrow. If we can celebrate a holiday 6 months early, surely one more day won’t hurt!

Ho! Ho! Ho! Or for July maybe it should be Hot! Hot! Hot! I love that Santa can make an appearance for our July 4th holiday week.

Today's card highlights some Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape:

I used a variety of Christmas Washi Tape to form the tree. I cut a cardstock triangle and wrapped it; You could also lay strips of washi and then cut the shape of your choice. I added Heart Pearl accents and Glitter Enamel Dot ornaments.

Have a great weekend!

I'd Be Toast.....

Happy Saturday!  This is Rebecca, back with another card using one of the new stamp sets.

Last week I was here using the apple set. This week I'm using the breakfast set.

* Apple Clear Stamp Set   Breakfast Stamps

These stamps are making me hungry!

I used shades of yellow and brown Prima water soluble oil pastels on watercolor paper to color a "scrambled egg" background.

You Are the Apple of My Eye

Happy Saturday!  Who is joining us this weekend in Arlington, TX at the Great American Scrapbook Convention (GASC)? If you are at the show, please stop by and say hello.

This is Rebecca, back today with a card featuring one of the NEW stamp sets!  I can't get enough of playing with these stamps - they're just so easy to stamp and get a great image.

* Apple Clear Stamp Set

No automatic alt text available.

I stamped the baskets and then stamped apple outline colors with dye inks.  I tfilled the apples with a bit of watercolor in similar shades.

Alright, that's enough talk of cards and stamping.  Go grab yourself a cool, crisp apple and then get outside for this beautiful summer day!

Fintastic!

Welcome to the weekend! And an extra shout out to anyone visiting us in St Paul, MN at this weekend’s  Scrapbook Expo Show!!

This is Rebecca, and this morning I’m playing with the NEW Fish Stamp Set, one of 16 great new coordinating stamps now available in the store and at shows.

First, washi and brads pair with the stamp set for a ready to mail, fishie greeting.

Next, I had some fun with the little fishie stamp for a watercolor background. I heat embossed the fish stamp in a repeating pattern, and then I watercolored the background, creating a resist image.  I fussy cut the fish bowl stamp and used more Brads and washi to finish the card front.

And finally, I used another piece of watercolored background and mixed two packs of fish brads (here and here) the fish stamp to create a full fishing hole.

Book Stamp Set

Hi, this is Rebecca. Welcome to the weekend, and Happy Memorial Day for us US folks!

Today I have some quick cards, made quicker with the new Book Stamp Set!

First, a confession: I am not a talented, experienced stamper. I am an occasional stamper with some pretty basic stamping supplies. I love to look at all the lovely card stamp work around here, but I’m usually more likely to use my own ink for a messy background than a clean card front. But I have to tell you, these stamps stamped so cleanly! I was worried about my skill at getting a good, photographable impression on the large oval, but it (along with the other stamps in the pack) worked great for me without any extra prep.

This first card also uses Book Washi TapeBook Brads, and Pearl Bling Strips. Quick and easy!

Then for a second quick card, I stamped a few books to coordinate with this cross-stitched piece (it was on my desk waiting for a use, and this card seemed like a good time). Just added a few Jewel Bling pieces, and done.

And finally, I went bright to coordinate with the bright color Book Brads. A few Enamel Hearts and coordinating Washi (herehere and something similar here ) made this one a quick project, too.

The Book Stamp Set is now available on the site, along with 15 other all new Stamp sets that coordinate with other Eyelet Outlet Brads, washi and more. We’re so excited to have these coordinating stamps, and I can’t wait to use them with some scrap pages, too!

Red White and Boom!

Happy Saturday! It’s show season, so an extra hello welcome to anyone in Syracuse at this weekend’s Too Much Fun Rubber Stamp Show. Please stop by and say hello while you shop!

This is Rebecca, and my project today is an extension of yesterday’s Instagram Hop with The Project Bin. You can still take the hop on Insta - just start at @eyeletoutlet and look for the hop logo:

The designers for both The Project Bin and Eyelet Outlet came up with some terrific cards and projects using a mix of both brands. Check it out, leave comments and possibly win one of the $25 prizes!

For the hop I used the Red White and Boom set for a not-so red, white and blue card. A few EO dots, and the firecracker stamp became firecracker flowers.

But today I thought I’d use the same stamp set in a little more traditional way. A mix of the stamps, along with EO washi and bling made a background for a 4th of July scrap page.
