Reveal Day Projects- Owl Friends

Hi Friends,

Thanks for following along our week of sneak peeks. It was fun to share what we have been working on behind the scenes. With there being so many stamps, I didn't get a chance to showcase the new owl stamps we have.

Here is a grouping of projects that features new owl stamps. I used the Pretty Pink Posh dies that are available from DeNami in the projects.

This blue card used the filmstrip die to create frames to stamps a different scene. I used the same C133 Owl Moon and Stars for all three frames. I stamped him in different angles and parts of the frame so they didn't look identical. Makes it more interesting. I also stamped the polka dotted background using N133 Polka Dot Background.

The film strip die I used is found HERE. I stamped the images in the TK-VF082 Versafine Onyx Black inkpad.  I then colored the images using Tombow markers.

This next one is so cute. I used the PPPD26 Pretty Pink Posh large scallop border die to create these "waves".  They are available from DeNami. I used a one inch and a one and 1/8 inch circle punch to create these little circles. I used foam mounting tape so they will have dimension and pop out from the card and waves. I created my own little banner using a paper trimmer and scissors. I curved the banner so it looked like it was waving in the air. I love the bold colors in this card and bold shapes.

You can see the wavy banner from this angle in this pic.

In the next pic you can see the Treasure Chest box template that is available for download. A single Hershey Nugget fits in it. Also, a Hershey's Kiss or a single Rolo candy also fits. Perfect for a tiny little party favor. I stamped the N133 Polka Dot Background after I cut out the template.

Aren't these projects fun and adorable? These are easy enough to use for all kinds of occasions, like birthdays, showers, everyday, get well and more.

I hope you have enjoyed following along all week. Be sure to leave a comment on each of the Sneak Peek posts to be entered to win in one of many giveaways. You have until Sunday, Oct 30 to enter.

Card Remake Inspiration

Hi Everyone!

Elizabeth here with another card for DeNami Design. For today's card I decided to use the same layout and main image stamp to create a get well card but using different technique. This will show you how you can take a card that you have made before and completely change the look by using a a different technique. The original card is from June 1, 2016 and was the Outdoor Adventures theme. When I made that card it was intended to be a friendship card. When I looked at the card I thought that it would be good get well card by changing the sentiment and I would do more stamping on this card.

This is the original card:

To create the new card I stamped the Medium Owl with Flower and Happy Sunshine with black ink on smooth white cardstock. Next, I colored in these images using Copic markers. Also, stamped the Under the Weather in black ink after I colored my owl and sun. Next, I grabbed 2 different green dye inks and used the grass stamp from the Flower Patch set to stamp the grass under the owl. I started with the darker green first and then filled in with the lighter green. The panel was cut out with a stitched rectangle die and then I trimmed down the cloud pattern paper with my paper trimmer. I adhered these to my card base using my tape runner. on the inside of the card, I stamped Get Well Soon in black ink and the Medium Owl with Flower in a grey dye ink. To add some sparkle to the card I coated the sun with a clear sparkle pen. It is hard to see in the pictures, but I promise that it’s there! I hope you enjoyed my remake of a card and that you get through your cards and think “how can I remake this card?” Until next time!

Owl Always Be Your Friend Card

Hello, DeNami Design friends!

It’s Lisa P. Today I’m sharing a card using one of my all-time favorite DeNami Design owl images, the G147 Owl Trio. Aren’t they the cutest?!?!

I die-cut a bubble box tag twice (once from white cardstock and once from patterned paper). I stamped the G147 Owl Trio onto the white tag, added color with markers and then stamped the sentiment underneath. I cut the top ¾” and the bottom ¾” from the patterned paper tag and adhered them to the top and bottom of the stamped tag. I then die-cut a slightly larger bubble box tag from patterned paper and layered it together with my stamped tag. To finish, I attached this to a blank A2 white card base and rounded the corners.

Here’s a closer look:

I kept this card nice and flat to make it super simple to drop in the mail.

Hope you like my card for today! Thanks for visiting!!

Pastel Cards

Hello, DeNami Design Friends!

It’s Lisa P. This week our design team is sharing “pastel cards.” Such a perfect theme for spring!

For my project I created two circle-shaped cards featuring the NEW CL-C110 Latte Owl. Isn’t he/she sweet?!?!

I die-cut two 3” circles from white cardstock and scored one of the circles 1” down from the top. I die-cut a 2 5/8” circle from celery cardstock, heat embossed the N109 Polka Dot Border in gold across the bottom, and stamped the sentiment about ½” above the polka dots. I adhered the celery circle to the center of the white circle (the one that was not scored) and added a die-cut scallop circle frame around it. I stamped the CL-C110 Latte Owl onto a separate sheet of white cardstock, added color with markers, fussy cut it out and adhered it as shown. To finish, I used some strong adhesive to adhere the scored circle to the back of the decorated front panel. Ta-da! A cute little circle-shaped card!

Here’s a closer look:

And here’s the same card in pink:

I hope you like my creations for today! Thanks so much for visiting!

All About Layers- Day 3 "Congrats Owls"

Hi DeNami friends,

This week I created a card for you with a lot of layers. To create this card I used stitched scallop rectangle and rectangle dies in different sizes and for a bit of color I blended red ink on the largest and the third largest layer and sprinkled it with water to get the ink to react and lift to create this nice splatter effect.

On the smallest rectangle I stamped the three little owls standing around a cupcake and colored them in with alcohol markers. For a bit more interest I also used a glitter pen and applied some glitter on the cupcake and the little party hats.
After adhering the different layers together, I also wanted to include a sentiment. I used another die to cut the sentiment "congrats" from gold mirror card stock and adhered it to the second smallest layer.
To finish off the card I also adhered some gold sequins using tiny glue dots. I really prefer using glue dots over liquid glue because 1) I don't create a huge mess (which I usually do) and 2) I can remove them and stick them to another place when I am not satisfied with the look.

I hope you liked the card that I made this week! Have fun crafting!

Guest Blogger- Daniela Dobson "Flower Owl Card"

Hello, it’s Daniela and I am back today with another card using DeNami Design stamps.

For this card I started by adding two strips of patterned paper to the top of the card. I tied ribbon over the seam and added a button with twine to the bow. The Owl With Flower is stamped once and then I created the mask to stamp the other three so they look like they are standing behind each other. I colored the owls with watercolor crayons. I stamped the sentiment under the owls in black ink. I added some circles with ink and a mask.
Thanks so mush for stopping by today.

You're One of a Kind Party Owl Card

Hello Friends!

Once again, we are honored to have Anna K from Russia as our guest blogger. You can read about her and see her last project HERE.

Hello!

For today's post I played with Party Owl Trio stamp. I stamped it on a flag die cut and colored them. It was such a good time! Like these little cuties. They really can be a center of a card and add such a sweet spirit to it.
Also I made a patterned frame with Flower Patch Clear Stamp Set - just stamped some flowers and leaves, colored them and then cut the frame and blended it a little with Distress inks. Ribbon and softcolored background are the final details. The sentiment is One of a Kind.

Coffee Owl Card and Design Team Member Introduction

Hi Friends,

Today we introduce you to another of our design team members. Her name is Elizabeth. I came across her on our Facebook page, I saw her many projects posted on social media AND I recognized her as a regular customer of DeNami and knew she was passionate about DeNami and stamping.

Though we have never met face to face, she has a creative spirit and is always eager to learn more about her art. She has a variety of styles, but always has an attention to detail. Enjoy meeting her and learning  from her.

Be sure to not only read her bio, but also scroll all the way to the bottom to see her fun project for today, a coffee themed card that can be used for Valentine's Day or just about anytime. Follow her on Instagram @ elizabethgcreations

Hi Everyone!

My name is Elizabeth Gunn and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio, home of Cincinnati Chili and the Bengals. I am married to my loving husband Mike and I have a beautiful teenage stepdaughter. We also have two cats that are my fur babies named Baby Girl and Sheldon Cooper Gunn. Right now I work part time at a retail store which means that I have to do my creating when I get a chance. I began stamping about 3 years ago when I decided that I wanted to start a business creating handmade greeting cards. I started watching YouTube videos to learn everything that I could about stamping and that was when I came across DeNami Design and I fell in love with her little chickies. Since then I have been hooked! My favorite tool to use while stamping is the MISTI. You will learn quickly that I use it a lot. Also, I love adding glitter and shine to as many cards as possible. I am also a big fan of the flip cards and have started getting into box cards also. I can’t wait to share with you my creations and I hope that you learn some new techniques and create some wonderful projects.

~ Elizabeth

Hi DeNami Friends!

Today’s project was inspired my husband, Mike, and his love of coffee! I thought to myself what would be a great card for Mike to give to me for Valentine’s Day? That’s when I remembered the new coffee stamps and said, "perfect"!

The card base is a piece of white cardstock cut to make a 5” square, top folding card. The red polka dot pattern paper is cut to 4.75”x4.75” and the stamped panel is 4”x4”. I used a pencil and a ruler to draw a 1” grid on my stamp panel so that I would know where to stamp the square stitched border. I used grey dye ink to stamp the border inside each of the square of the grid. Next, I stamped the coffee cup in red dye ink inside of each of the squares. After looking high and low for my good eraser, I erased the gridlines that I had created. On a scrap of white cardstock I stamped the square border in the same red dye ink and the owl in the tea cup in black dye ink. With Copic markers, I colored in the owl and the teacup. On the edge of the paper I used a grey marker to give it a more finished look. For the greeting I used an alphabet stamp set and stamped the greeting in black dye ink on both the front of the card and the inside of the card. I adhered the red polka dot pattern paper to the card base and then my stamped panel. I used foam tape to adhere the owl in the tea cup to center of my card. I hope that you enjoyed todays project!

Group Thank You Owl Card

Hi Friends,

This time of year is a great time to thank people and share how much they mean to you. Group thank you cards are a great way to express this and share your appreciation.

Today DT Val shares how she created this colorful owl card. I love how she used textures and dimension to make this a gift in itself.

~~~~
How about a Group Thank You card today?! That's what I have using this cute image of the group of owls, the Sweety Owl Scene stamp. And the sentiment is from the Assorted Greetings stamp set.
I used patterned paper for layering. I die cut the circles and used enamel dots, roses and leaves as accents.
I used a black burlap ribbon as the band. I added little white polkadots around the red circle with my White Broad Uniball pen. And I dabbed a little but of glitter glue on the yellow colored circles in the image. The images are colored wth Copic markers.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week, and Happy Crafting!
Happy Holidays Owl Card
Hi Friends,
Today, DT Lisa created an adorable Owl card. HOO whouldn't love this?! Lol.
I am so in love with owls these days. You might be seeing some more in the future.
Have you started your Christmas cards? The best way to get started is by getting some inspiration. Seeing ideas can start an idea for your own project. This card was so sweet. I loved how she double stamped the pine sprig to give it a snowy feel to it. I might have to try that myself!
Read about what Lisa did below. Thanks for visiting!
~~~~~~~~~~
Hello! It’s Lisa P. We’ve had several snowfalls here in the mountains, so I’m getting really excited about the holiday season! Today I’m sharing a card I made using a few of my favorite holiday images from DeNami Design!

I am absolutely, without a doubt, in love with those adorable little owls!!!

To create the background, I stamped the pine branch from CL-CH003 Winter Pine in white, let it dry, and then stamped it again (slightly off from the first image) in green. I’m super happy with the results! What a fun technique! Here’s a closer look:

So…what do you think?!?! I hope you like my card for today and feel inspired to get inky! Have you started making your holiday cards yet? We’d love to hear about what you’re creating!

Have a great week!
