No Peeking Chickie Tag

No Peeking Chickie Tag

Hi DeNami Friends!

Our DT's have been working up a storm with our latest seasonal collection. As the weather is getting colder, it is a reminder of the holidays coming up.

Lisa Petrella created this wonderful "No Peeking Chickie Tag" using the new CL-F245 No Peeking Chickie.

Here are some simple instructions on creating this adorable little tag as shared by Lisa:

I stamped the CL-F245 No Peeking Circle Chickie with TK-ME900 Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto white cardstock and colored him with markers. I then used a circle die to cut out the image. I die-cut two tags, one from white cardstock and one from black cardstock. I stamped the N133 Polka Dot Background with TK-VF082 Onyx Black Versafine ink onto the white tag and set the white tag aside. On the back of the black tag, I measured 1.25” from the top and drew a pencil line. I then cut along that line with scalloped edge scissors and adhered this “topper” to the top of the white tag with glue. I cut the bottom 0.5” from the black tag and adhered that to the bottom of the white tag with glue. I added the No Peeking Circle Chickie to the tag with a foam tab and added a touch of SS02 Extra Fine Sparklets Glitter to the fuzzy parts of his hat. To finish up, I tied on some red and white twine from the TW005 Classic Twine 3-pk.

I hope you like my holiday tag featuring the new F245 No Peeking Circle Chickie!

Supplies:
Markers: Copic Sketch Markers
Cardstock: White (Papertrey Ink), Black (DeNami Design)
Dies: Small Standard Circles (Spellbinders), Tag Sale #1 (Papertrey Ink)
Adhesives: GL01 Quickie Glue Pen (Sakura), 3D Foam Tabs (Tombow), Mono Multi Liquid Glue (Tombow)

Fabric on Cards?

Hello DeNami friends!

Did you enjoy the Christmas project and card we shared on Friday?  While I would love to jump right into showcasing all sorts of Christmas goodness, I think it still may be a wee bit early to just highlight those images. I'll sprinkle them in these next few weeks, but I don't want to take away from the beauty of Thanksgiving and all of the stamps we have for THIS season.

To inspire you even more with the current Product Spotlight, I created another card using this stamp. This time around, I paired it with the Autumn stamp set, which is a must have for any crafter. I love the size of these images- they work so well for little tags, place cards and also backgrounds on your crafty projects!

Tip: find some fun textures to add to your card- they add so much to your card! For my woven fabric, I cut a bag I had in my craft studio.

I hope that you were inspired by this card and try out using fabrics and fibers on your card projects! It really adds a lot to your cards and it's fun to see what items you can find to use!

See you all tomorrow. Thank you for visiting the DeNami blog!

Ice Cream For All!

Happy Monday!

Wow, are we already to the middle of August? It seems like time is just zooming by. Before you know it, it'll be time for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Since we are in the midst of the hot weather, I thought you all could use some ice cream....sugar free, zero calorie ice cream to boot! I had recently been loving this color combination- I simply can't stop using it! Hope you all don't mind. :)

Have you tried our popular circle stamps before? They are so fun and versatile! If you have wondered how to center your circle stamps, we have a showing how we do it below.

Did you know that we have a page that features all of our circle stamps? Here you'll also be able to see which Marvy punch goes with which stamps. We tried our best to make it easy for you- we even have links to card ideas that feature many of the stamps!

I will see you all back here tomorrow for the winners of the Mini Cards Blog Hop AND I'll also be announcing the theme of the September Blog Hop. If you haven't hopped along in the yesterday's blog hop, be sure to do so by tonight to be eligible for a gift certificate!

Have a great rest of your day- thanks for stopping by the DeNami blog!

Elegant Congrats + VIDEO

Good mornin', DeNami blog readers!

Today I have a card and video to share with you all. However, before we start on them, I wanted to take a little time to say thank you to each of you who take the time to leave blog comments, Facebook comments/ posts, follow our blog, etc.... Honestly, connecting and getting to know you all is my FAVORITE part of my job. Reading your excitement about new releases or how we inspire your creativity brightens my day. I hope we can continue to do this for many, many more years. :)

Okay, now back to the regularly scheduled program.....

After hearing how many of you enjoy our card and tutorial videos, I thought I'd start filming some more. In the one I have for you today, we'll be creating the card below (in less than 10 minutes!).

And now, here's the video showcasing how to create this card from start-to-finish!

I hope that the video and card today inspired you. I've already created three of these cards- one of an engagement (congrats to our DT member, Amber!), one for a wedding, and then I also have one on hand just in case. You can never have enough "congrats" cards!

Have a fabulous rest of your day. I will see you tomorrow for the special announcement of our August Guest Designer!

Elegant Floral Greetings

Hi there!

Wow, it's hard to believe that this is the last Monday of July! This month has flown by here at the DeNami office. Let's see, we had the Fall/ Winter 2011 release at the beginning of the month, one of our best blog hops yet, three stamp shows and then lots of behind-the-scenes planning for things to come! :)

With just a few days left to play along in the "Informal challenge", I thought I'd bring another card with these colors. I truly do love this color combination!

Well, my DeNami friends, that's all for today. I'm so excited that by the time you read this post, I'll be in the air on my way back to the DeNami office!  For any of you who placed orders from July 19-July 26, we'll start shipping again tomorrow.

A big huge thank you to all who came out to the CHA SuperShow this weekend. It was so awesome to put faces with names, meet fellow bloggers and new DeNami friends and of course, reconnect with those we have seen before. We so appreciate you all; thank you for your continued support of our company!

I will see you all tomorrow!

Girlie Girl Inspiration

Happy Friday!

With our Girlie Girl Blog Hop coming on Sunday, I thought I'd share a girlie card with you today. Some may still need to create their cards, so hopefully this will provide a little bit of inspiration.

Here are some things you can add to your cards/ projects to make them more "girlie":
  • Rhinestones
  • Scallops
  • Glitter
  • Pearls
  • Polka Dots

Cardstock: White, Magenta, Petal Pink

I wanted to give you an update on our website situation. We are in the process of switching website servers and we hope that after all of the files are uploaded, we will be running smoothly again. As I mentioned previously, we are quite frustrated with this whole situation, and we know that many of you have been inconvenienced by this process. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Well, DeNami friends, I will see you on SUNDAY for the Blog Hop. Can't wait to see the participants creations, and also have you hop along. It's sure to be great fun!

Have a great weekend!

Pastel Flower Circle

Hello there!

Are you ready for another card that'll be featured on one of the new CHA boards? In case you were wondering how I decide on which stamps to use.... When I know I'm creating cards for boards, I try to bring old and new designs together. There may be some who have the older images, but need new, fresh ideas. Then some may be finding us for the first time, so they'll need ideas featuring everything!

Today's card features some of the latest collection, and then also some from last year. One of the great things about our line of stamps- so many of our images can be used together! I used four different stamps for this card, but they all work together so beautifully.

Cardstock: White, Petal Pink, Celery
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Aloe Vera, pink (not carried by DeNami)

Did you know that we have a page that features all of our circle stamps? Here you'll also be able to see which Marvy punch goes with which stamps. We tried our best to make it easy for you- we even have links to card ideas that feature many of the stamps!

I will see you tomorrow with a brand new card that Nami created. Let me say, it's a SUPER cute one, so you'll want to be sure you visit!

Thanks for stopping by the DeNami blog!

Glitter Christmas Holly

Hello there!

As I type this post, there is at least 7 inches of snow outside. It's been snowing like crazy here in Washington, something not very common for late November. We're hoping that it'll subside quickly- we would love to get orders out in a timely matter and work on production of the new collection! However, safety DOES come first for our employees, so we'll be back when the roads are safer.

Today I have a card that we shared last year, but it's such a great one I had to share it again. How warm and inviting is this color combo? I love the Sage cardstock with the classic Hunter Green and Red colors! Did you notice the amazing colored glitters? Nami accomplished this look with the Crystal Lacquer and some of our glitters. Perfect for those who enjoy glitter!

I wanted to let you all know that we sent out an InTouch newsletter email yesterday. We are having a fun Black Friday sale that will definitely get you in the holiday spirit. If you haven't signed up yet, be sure to do so- we'll be sending out the emails to new subscribers later today!

Thanks so much for spending some time with us today. We'll see you again tomorrow!

Pilgrim Chickies + Video

Good morning!

Is anyone else starting to think of Thanksgiving? We are already in full Thanksgiving mode here at the office. As I type this, I have my yummy Toffee Mocha and have lots of pretty fall cards on my desk. I just love the colors and the fun stamps that this time of year brings. Our design team has some fun fall cards and projects coming, and we also have more Thanksgiving card videos coming soon.

Today I have a simple, yet very cute, Pilgrim Chickies card to share. This little couple has quickly become one of the most popular in our chickie collection. As you can see, they fit perfectly in the new Give Thanks Circle, which is great for cards, but you can also use it for tags! Below is the video on how to create this card from start to finish.

Did you know that we recently came out with a Thanksgiving Card Kit? This has been such a popular kit- they are going really quickly. If you're interested in this set, I'd suggest getting it before they sell out! :)

We hope that this card and video inspired you. If you enjoy our videos, we'd love for you to subscribe to the DeNami Design YouTube channel! At the top of our YouTube page, there is a button to subscribe. This is a perfect way to keep up with the videos and get notified when we release new ones.

Thanks for visiting the DeNami blog today. We'll see you tomorrow!

Simple Elegance

Hello there!

Who is ready for a CAS (clean and simple) elegant card? I have a pretty one to share by our lovely, talented Wendy Elliot. Very rarely do I see cards in blue that I truly love. However, in normal Wendy fashion, this one is to die for gorgeous. Can you believe that you only need two stamps to create this beauty? (Scroll down for the supply list.)

On Friday & Saturday we will be exhibiting in Boise, Idaho for the Stamp & Scrap Fest. We are excited to be exhibiting, connecting with customers and of course, showing you our new products! If you are in the area, bring you camera, comfy shoes and spend the day with us! Below is a peek at our booth set-up....

That's all for today. I'll be back tomorrow with some cards that we found using some of our stamps- you won't want to miss it!

Birthday Wishes for Nami

Today it's September 21, which has special meaning to those at the DeNami Design office. It's Nami's birthday! For those new to DeNami, she is the owner and she also happens to design all of the images!

To make her day extra special, I thought we'd all write some sweet words to her. When you leave comments, she gets them to her email. Let's bombard her with some sweet notes, shall we? ;) You can let her know how the stamps have changed your craft life, share how you interacted with her or just send her some thoughtful birthday wishes.

Thanks for leaving your love and birthday wishes! I know she is going to be super touched with all of your sweet comments!

Glitter Stripes card

Happy Friday!

It's hard to believe that we are at the end of the week. We had so many fun things on the blog this week- I'm sure you all are ready for a little break. ;) To inspire you until next time, we have a card + a video today. This one is different than the ones we have posted recently...it actually shows you how to make the card from start to finish!

Can you beat a pretty, elegant card that you can create in under 10 minutes? It might even be less since you won't have to explain what you're doing. ;) We have some more card videos planned for the future, so be sure to watch out for those!

As most of you know, we had our very first warehouse sale yesterday. It was a huge success- we were able to clear out our warehouse and lots of ladies found good deals! For those out of state, we will be having a BIG sale on some our items towards the end of the year. We appreciated your interest and wanting to be here!

Tomorrow we'll be posting the winners of the blog hop, so be sure to check back for that! I hope you were inspired by today's card- thanks so much for stopping by!

Glitter & Flourishes

Hello DeNami friends!

I was going through some pictures on the hard drive and came across this beauty by Wendy. We had so many samples last season, I wasn't able to post them all! This card showcases the vibrant Habanero Versafine and our Desert Orange glitter really well. Did you notice that sparkly button? Wendy pressed the button on the Glue Pad and sprinkled glitter. Isn't that genius?

We hope you all will be able to find time to join us in the Product Challenge #3 this week! The challenge closes on August 15th, so you only have a few days left! We are giving away a $25 DeNami gift certificate to the winner, so that should be a little motivation. :) Since the challenge is glitter, you could even try out the technique that Wendy did in this card!

I have a few more details about the blog hop that we have on Sunday. As you can see above, our theme is POLKA DOTS. For our first hop, we are just having our DT and special guests playing along. However, next month, we will be opening it up to all of you! How fun is that? We'd like to know, would you join us in a DeNami blog hop? We'll have more details on this in the coming weeks....be sure to stay tuned!

Tomorrow I'll have the last few details about the blog hop. If you missed any of the news, don't worry, it will all be included in the post on Sunday. :) Take care!
