Somebunny Loves You Theme Week- Day 4

Hi DeNami friends,

I am back with this little Easter card. I think this bunny stamp is just too cute and you can build so many amazing scenes around it. First off, I stamped the bunny with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and colored him in with alcohol markers. I also stamped some additional eggs to fill the scene later on.

For the scene itself I colored white cardstock with light and dark green ink and die cut them with grass borders. For the sky I colored some more cardstock with light blue ink and die cut it using a circle die. Now it was time to put the scene togehter. Before glueing anything into place I first stamped the sentiment "Happy easter" in the center of the sky. Then I adhered the first, darker grass layer. For the second layer I used fun foam to give it a little bit of dimension. Then, I placed the bunny and the eggs into place and adhered them with glue dots.

To finish off the card I die cut a larger circle from white cardstock as well as a circle card base and adhered everything together.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see who our guest blogger is!

Somebunny Loves You Theme Week- Day 2

Hello DeNami Friends!

Who doesn’t love a cute little bunny?! I know that I certainly do and that is the theme for this week. Of course, my first thought was to make an Easter card. That’s the most obvious choice with Easter around the corner. But let’s face it, I can’t beat the Easter Card that I made last week and I was not about to try! I decided I would make a birthday card instead.

I created the background of the card with the Bunny Tail Trio, Dot Border and Stitched Border stamps. I used grey, yellow and green dye inks on the background. For the main bunny I used the Bunny with Flower and Medium Double Circle stamp. For the circle, I used the same grey dye ink. I kept the coloring of the bunny simple and used Copic markers without any shading. Next I cut out the bunny using a scallop punch. For the sentiment on the front I used the One of a Kind stamp on white cardstock. The inside of the card is stamped with the Small Happy Birthday stamp in black ink. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks card and it inspires you to create a card for that special person in your life that is one of a kind! Until next time!

Be sure you come back tomorrow to see Jung's bunny card!

Week of Easter- Day 4

Hello DeNami friends!

I am back with another project for the DeNami Design Design Team. This time I want to show you a couple of Easter tags that I created. I found a cutting file for this tag online and cut it out of white cardstock as well as the inner part out of yellow, green, and red cardstock.

Then I stamped the cute Bunny with its eggs on the center part of the created window of the tag and colored the image with alcohol markers.

To finish off the tags, I stamped the sentiment "Happy Easter" on the  inner part of the tags.

Week of Easter- Day 3

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today, I've got some goodies to share with you.  This week's theme is Easter, and when I think of Easter, I immediately think of my favorite treat: Cadbury mini eggs...i.e. chocolatey goodness!!!  I decided to make a clear goodie box filled with the chocolate eggs; I also decided to make a goodie bag filled with tiny toy "blind bags" for my girls.  Of course I had to make cute gift tags for the goodies, and I used DeNami's E202 Bunny and Easter Eggs.

For the clear box:  First, I filled my CB500 Clear Boutique Box with lots of Cadbury mini eggs.  Then, I got to work making my tag.  I stamped the Bunny and Easter Eggs stamp on some white cardstock, and colored the image with markers.  I punched out the image with a 1" circle punch.  I also punched out a scalloped circle (approximately 1.5") from a piece of patterned paper.  I attached the bunny circle to the patterned paper with a foam square.  To finish off my tag, I covered the Easter eggs with some glossy glue, and punched a hole for my baker's twine.  I tied my tag to the clear box, and I love the way it turned out.

For the goodie bag:  I made the bag out of aqua colored cardstock and a goodie bag die. Then I made my tag exactly like I did for the clear box, but instead of punching a circle and scalloped circle, I die cut the stamped image and the patterned paper using oval dies so they looked like eggs.  For this tag, I also added some puffy heart stickers.

I really hope you like my projects.  I know my girls will!

Week of Easter- Day 2

Hello DeNami Friends!

Spring is coming soon! I can’t personally can’t wait for the warm weather and the flowers to start blooming. Spring also means that Easter will be here soon which is this weeks DeNami Design Team theme. I thought to myself that I wanted to do something different for my Easter project this week. So I made and Easter Basket card!

I used a die that creates a small basket that when you cut 2 out you can adhere them together to make a card that is basket shaped and you can insert a little tag or card into. I used flower pattern paper to cut out my 2 pieces of the basket. For my insert I used 2 nested dies and stamped the adorable Bunny and Easter Eggs on white cardstock. To stamp the greeting I used the Small Happy Easter stamp and inked “Happy” first and stamped it and did the same thing for “Easter” and stamped it below “Happy”.

I hope that you enjoyed my project this week! Until next time!

Week of Easter-Day 1

Hello, DeNami Design Friends!

It’s Lisa P. I can’t believe we’re heading into March already. That means that Easter is right around the corner. So, this week our design team will be sharing projects that feature stamps from DeNami Design’s adorable Easter collection!

I created a sweet little 3.25” x 4.25” Easter card using the NEW CL-E202 Bunny and Easter Eggs image as my focal point.

I cut a 3” x 4” panel from white cardstock. I stamped the two little eggs from the PF15 Easter Stamp Set in VersaMark ink all over the panel and then heat embossed them in white. I inked up the background with distress inks working from dark (at the bottom) to light (at the top).

I die-cut the Scallop Frame, adhered it on top of my stamped panel and attached it to a white card base. I die-cut a circle from white cardstock, stamped the bunny image, colored it with markers, layered it to a vellum scalloped circle and adhered it to the front of the card as shown.

Inside the card, I stamped the F160 Small Happy Easter sentiment.

I’m really happy with how this turned out and plan to make some more using different colors for the inking. These will be perfect little cards to send to family and friends for the Easter holiday!

I hope you like my project for today! Thanks for visiting!!

Easter Butterflies

Hi DeNami friends,

Happy spring!!! It is great to finally leave the cold winter and enter into the sunny days of spring. Spring is my favorite season of all. It the a new beginning of things. New flowers, new grass and fresh scents.

The wonderful thing about card making is you could be sending out cheer even while people are still facing winter right now. Today, Deb created a lovely and happy card using butterflies. I love her happy colors she chose. I don't use yellow as much as I like the color. I think I need to after seeing this lovely card.

She did a fantastic technique of repeating the scallops. It adds layers and really gives it a nice dimension. It is simple to do, but creates a great effect.

This is a card simple enough to send to all that need some cheer.

Here is how Deb made this. She writes:

Hello DeNami friends! It’s Deb and today I have a card to share with you. Spring is upon us in many states, so I decided to create a bright and simple spring inspired card.

First I trimmed up some white cardstock using one of my Stitched 2 border dies from Pretty Pink Posh to create a few layers. Then, I inked up Polka Dot Butterfly using the rock-n-roll technique. First I inked it up in the lighter shade and then rolled it around on the edges in the darker ink. I chose white cardstock, but you can also use kraft or another lighter cardstock. I inked up Happy Easter for my sentiment, but you could also use other various themes like birthday, thinking of you or congratulations. I tied a bow at the top of the card to finish it off.
I think the white cardstock paired with the bright colors creates a cheerful card. I hope you have been inspired to create something bright and cheerful as well. Thanks for stopping by the DeNami blog.

Other Supplies

Wax Paper
Iron
Distress Ink
Ink Blending Tool

NOTE: No damage to stamps will occur from using an iron as you are only applying heat for 3 seconds. Another fun thing to note is the more wrinkled your wax paper the more variation with the resist, but you have to be careful to not wrinkle too much as your image may not be visible.

Product Spotlight- Happy Easter

Good morning!

I hope you all are enjoying the longer days and hopefully are getting some sunshine. We are scheduled to get a few days of sun here in Seattle and I am getting very giddy. There's something about rays of sunlight coming through the window that makes a day happy.

Today the team is showcasing an older sentiment, but it definitely is a classic. With Easter right around the corner, we're featuring the F160 Happy Easter, which is done in Nami's beautiful handwriting. It works with so many of our images, let's dive right into the DT samples!

Easter Chickie Basket

Hi there, DeNami friends! It's Emily here today on the DeNami blog. It's my turn to share a little  project with you. I've been having a blast playing with my new Basket Weave Embossing Folder (highlighted in this month's Embossed Elements feature, as well as in this recent post), and I just couldn't stop playing with it! Here's what I came up with for today's card:

I LOVE this sweet little Chickie Easter Basket stamp with its festive polka-dotted basket design, and I thought it would be so cute to pair up this image with a polka-dotted basket weave background. I used both of DeNami's dotty backgrounds to make this card: Medium Polka Dots and Polka Dot Background. I also used a sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings stamp set along with the Small Stitched Circle. All I needed to finish off this card was a bit of baker's twine from the Pastel Twine 3-pack.

Thanks so much for visiting the DeNami blog today. Have a great day!

Embossed Elements: Easter

Happy Monday to you, DeNami fans! It's Emily here today with the March edition of my monthly Embossed Elements feature here on the DeNami blog. Today I'm sharing with you two different projects featuring the oh-so-appropriate-for-Easter Basket Weave Embossing Folder from the DeNami store. Shall we take a peek at a few fun ways to use it?

First, I couldn't wait to try adding some realistic basket-weave texture to DeNami's Large Spring Basket stamp!

For this project, I stamped the basket on Iridescent Aquamarine cardstock in Jet Black Staz-On ink. After trimming out the basket, I embossed it with the Basket Weave embossing folder. When I glued down the basket to my card, I was careful to leave the scalloped top edge of the basket free of glue so I could easily slip in some brightly colored Easter eggs (trimmed from the Solid Egg Border stamped in Pearlescent Orchid Brilliance ink, Pearlescent Purple Brilliance ink, and Pearlescent Sky Blue Brilliance ink) and a {yummy!} little chocolate bunny (a trimmed-out, white-embossed version of the bunny from the Cuddly Pals stamp set). I rounded out this card with the beautifully scripted Small Happy Easter sentiment.

For my second project, I used the Basket Weave Embossing Folder as my background.

In this project, I used the debossed side of my cheery yellow panel. Don't you just love how richly detailed the weave pattern is? I know I do! With that basket-weave pattern and the Easter-Peeps-bright pinks, yellows, and purples, it's obvious that this card celebrates Easter! Here are the DeNami stamps that I used for this creation: Whimsical Garden Set, Summer Flowers Set, and Easter Blessings. I also used some gorgeous lavender cardstock and added those sweetly bright pearl accents with Crystal Lacquer pearl pens (I used this set and this set).

Once I got thinking about ways to use this lovely Basket Weave Embossing Folder, I just couldn't turn off the ideas! Wouldn't Easter Chickie or Chickie Easter Basket look marvelous with this embossing folder? Or how about "Hoppy" Easter Chickies? And just to show that basket weave isn't just for Easter, why not try pairing it with the gorgeous Apple Basket for autumn or hot-air Chickie in Balloon for summer? I think there are just so many possibilities :D.

Well, I hope that I've given you some useful ideas for embossing with this installment of Embossed Elements!

How would you like the chance to win this beautiful Basket Weave Embossing Folder? Well, today just could be your lucky day! I have one up for grabs over on my blog, My Little Slice of Bliss. Just hop on over to comment there for the chance to win!

I'm so glad that you stopped by today!
