The challenge this week at Phindy's Place is EMBOSSING. You can do dry embossing as I have or heat embossing - the choice is yours. There are two prizes to be won - a random winner and a Card of the Week as chosen by the Design Team. I hope you will create something with embossing and show it to us.
This wee babbie looked like a little toughie to me so I thought this sentiment from Paulette at Create with TLC would be perfect for the image.

Ahoy Matey
The challenge this week at Delightful Challenges is all about Sun, Sea and Sand. I would certainly love to have some of that right now because it is only just starting to warm up here but we are expecting rain and my trip to Cuba is a distant memory.
Today the new release images are available at the Digital Delights by Louby Loo store and they are all about pirates. I have created a little scene with Presley the Pirate but I feel it isn't finished so I must issue a disclaimer because I haven't done justice to this adorable image. My hip is acting up again so sitting for long periods isn't happening right now and I could not spend more time with Presley. Since this is the third time in six months that I have been having issues, the doctor is booking an MRI but it could take another six months for that to happen, so stay tuned. In the meantime I will take pain killers, try to exercise and carry on.
The sponsor of this week's challenge is Simon Says Stamp and they are generously offering a $20 gift certificate to their store as the prize for the random winner.
The Design Team will be choosing their top three picks with the top pick getting the opportunity to be a Guest Designer.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

A Recipe for Phindy
Today we have a simple recipe challenge for you at Phindy's Friday Challenge Blog called 3-2-1. The best part of this recipe is that you get to decide what you will use for each ingredient. For my card, I used three brads, two ribbons and one patterned paper. I also made a really simple card this week because I didn't think this image needed a pile of embellishments.
Don't forget you must use a Phindy image on your project but Phindy is always adding wonderful new images to the store so you should be able to find one or even more that you like. Make sure you check the work of the other ladies on the design team because they will inspire you.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Dutch Dare - Clean & Simple
Creative Cottage - Embossing
Freshly Brewed - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - For Boys/Men
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Incy Wincy Designs - Anything Goes
Lexi's Creations - Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes - For Boys/Men

Giddyup & DT News
Today is a very exciting day for me. I am showing you my first card as a member of the Design Team for Phindy's Place. I have been a Phindy Phan since I first joined Paper Craft Planet in January and Phindy invited me to join her group. It was there I got my first introduction to stamping, specifically using digital stamps. I also met the most wonderful group of ladies and we chat like sisters every day.
This week the challenge at Phindy's Place Challenge Blog is to make a card for a baby or small child. I wasn't in the mood to make a baby card this week and when I saw this image, I thought it would give me a chance to work in colour - lots of colour as you can see. You must use a Phindy image on your project but she has some fabulous images in her store so pop over an pick one up so you can play with us. There are lots of opportunities to win - a prize is given each week for a random winner and one card is chosen as top pick with a chance to be Guest Designer.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Stamps R Us - All Male Theme
Crafty Cardmakers - Birthday Card
Digi Doodles Shops Best - Anything Goes

When I Grow Up
What do I want to be when I grow up? I can think of many things but since I am already old, it is too late to make many of them happen :) This cute little guy wants to be a fireman. The challenge this week at Delightful Challenges is to make a Back to School card or other papercraft project using primary colours - red, green, yellow and blue.
You don't have to use a Digital Delights image on your project but if you do (and you really should because there are so many fabulous images in the store), you will get 2 entries in the draw for the wonderful prize provided by our sponsor this week -Simon Says Stamp.

Daisy Doodles Treasure Hunt
Hello me hearties, this is Cabin Gal Cec de Bois and you found my stop on a treasure hunt with Daisy Doodles. If you follow the treasure map, you could win this brand new stamp set and a $5 gift certificate to the Daisy Doodles store.
I have made a card to show you what can be done with the different elements from this stamp set. You will find the card details below the treasure hunt information.
If you didn't start the treasure hunt at the beginning, you need to go to Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges, pick up your treasure map and the first piece of the puzzle. Then follow the map leaving a comment and picking up a puzzle piece at each stop. The pieces of the puzzle make a card so don't miss any stops because your goal is to determine what image is on the puzzle card and who made it. When you get to the end, which is the Daisy Doodles store, then you will get your final instructions. You don't want to have to walk the plank, do you?
If you came here from visiting Mary (a.k.a Boatswain Mary Read), then you are on the right track.
As you can see by the map, your next spot is at Sailing Master Law de Leon's blog (Lawren). You have until 8 pm EST, Saturday, July 17th to collect all the pieces of the puzzle, get to the end and follow the instructions. The winner will be announced Monday on the challenge blog. So Mateys, leave your comment, grab your puzzle piece and off you go.
